Encounters With SJWs/Tumblristas Offline or In Unusual Communities

A couple days ago I ran into a wannabe revolutionary Tumblr communist on my way to history class. We both happen to be in the same graduate program (Slavic Studies) so we started up a chat about why Americans are being drawn to socialism (didn't realize she was a hardcore Sandernista), seemingly in defiance of the fact the Soviet Union proved the experiment failed.

Her answer? "What they were doing wasn't real socialism."
I tried to explain to her that yes, it was. Down to the last detail. Went over everything from economic policies to government structure and everything in-between. She looked at me like I was nuts and said I "drank the bourgeois koolaid."

It's true in the sense that it isn't the socialism advertised in The Communist Manifesto or Das Kapital or any of the seminal works describing and selling the concept.

This is largely, though, because such a thing can't exist in reality. The concept of "true socialism" is predicated on people not acting like people.

So what has happened in the name of socialism, from the USSR to Maoist China to Cuba, is as close as it gets in reality, and it's shit. It's well past time to declare the experiment a failure.

Of course from any historical perspective, the socialist experiment was a failure. Why it failed is up for debate, but it's undeniable that socialism in its purest form can't be achieved, and the history of communism proves it causes nothing but untold suffering and poverty for millions of people.

But of course, for the Che Guevara wannabes on Tumblr, that doesn't matter. They just want to bitch about how they have to work like everybody else and how government isn't like Mommy and Daddy.

I wonder if they all realize that Tumblr wouldn't exist in communist states....(probably not)

OK this is not something that happens to me but to an acquaintance of mines.

OK so I go to this liberal art school for game design so of course this place is a breeding ground for Sjw. So there this den in the gaming department where all the gaming students hang out and we get along pretty well. The acquaintance who I met there is this pretty black girl and apparently a lot of the trans students hate her because she refuse to date them or have sex with them. Of course they would be all over her because "STRONG BEAUTIFUL POC WOMYAN" but they get so shocked when she doesn't conform to their bullshit.

Like this didn't happen to her once this happened to her serval time. She had a trans girl demanding her to let her have sex with her because she still have a dick and had a hissy fit when she told her no. Or how trans guy call her shallow because she will only date cis guys. And all of this gets on her nerves because she have no problem with trans people yet they get so mad at her when she refuse to bang them.

I feel so bad for her.

Back in college I tried to explain this to a girl who since then has probably went full SJW unfortunately. Her asnwer was: "Well DUH, if we were living in true socialism there WOULDN'T be a need for Tumblr because there'd be no oppression to battle!".

There was also this one time she was giving a presentation about how our language (Hungarian) is inherently discriminating towards women because our equivalent of the term "pussy" is used as a negative (she really, really tried to make "linguo-sexism" a thing). I dared point out how we have plenty of slang for the good old cock'n'balls that are also used to express weakness, stupidity, cowardliness or incompetence... afterwards she wouldn't shut up about how the patriarchy has been subconsciously manipulating me to try and "silence" her, and that secretly I know she's right, I'm just afraid to face the truth about my gender. Fun times...

Today we got a two hour sermon that basically could be summed up in "The USA sucks cause slavery and native genocide". Apparently the USA is worst then all the Third World combined, and all the Indians back then all smoked the Peace Pipe before the evil white man came. Sure, some of them were cannibals, but who cares about that? Then we spoke some bullshit about cultural appropriation or something with tattoos.

Oh and to finish it off, out of the cafeteria somebody wrote "STOP FATPHOBIA" Just in the outside walls in enormous letters. Splendid.
