Matt Dillahunty is annoyed that people are questioning his faith-based dogma.

Meet the new religion, same as the old religion.

Apparently he had a TIM on his show recently and they seemed very close, so people are wondering if it's a case of a closeted gay/bi dude lying to himself that it's a woman's penis. Either way it's funny to see him rage and the replies saying shit like "amen" and "transubstantiation IS the blood of Christ" and so on.

On slavery: Catholics opposed it, and a lot of Protestant strains did too. The Spanish crown and other forms of nobility and wealth though said fuck that.

On natives: Pretty much all mainstream churches advocated converting them, not killing them. I can name a very few that either didn't due to their inner focus (mennonites), or local shit churches that opposed it.

On women: partially yeah, but it was split too and more based on changing home lives last I checked.

So... the smug moron got 33% right at best. That's what we call failing. I could legit flip a coin or even use sports prognostication which is WORSE and get the right results more often.
Conversion is considered under cultural genocide though.
But only Christianity. Ignore Sharia Law, the Hindu fundamentalism being used to snuff Sikhism and Muslims in India, and Myanmar's Buddhist Extremism towards other religions.

Why? Because brown people and Christians were my parents, and fuck you Dad.

Seriously, if you're going to scream at fundie excess, scream at fucking all of it.
Why can't Muslims go to Pakistan if they don't like India?

Normally stupid people are funny, especially when they think they're being smart, but Euphoric Atheists somehow manage to be both incredibly stupid and cripplingly unfunny.

Because Pakistan sucks and nobody wants to go there. At least India has designated shitting streets.

No, they'll come here and drive cabs and fry chicken instead. No joke, the best fried chicken is always at some place in some dodgy hood run by a Paki with a line of basketballs a block long outside.

Have you ever read something so stupid from an Internet atheist that you suddenly wished you could believe in God just not to be one of these people?

Sometimes I read an r/atheism take so blisteringly idiotic and self-satisfied, a take which is just begging for me to call it retarded and get banned, that I actually wonder if it isn't some kind of divine test of patience. In many ways, Internet Atheists are doing God's work for him.

EDIT to avoid doubleposting:
God DESTROYED with FACTS and LOGIC. Thomas Aquinas BTFO. Sorrowful mysteries SOLVED.

My mans disproved the existence of God, but apparently has yet to discover what a paragraph is.

I think it just comes down to the fact that they're usually regurgitating the same points that were said ten years ago over and over ad nauseum. They strike me as people who usually grew up in a casual christian family that never took it seriously, and think that "haha a talking snake? how silly" would somehow work against devout Christian who's studied it in depth for decades, that no Christian has ever thought about this topic in any level of detail before for the last 2000 years.

It's absolutely this. I've heard atheists make arguments that were soundly refuted in the second century. It's just boring if they can't come up with anything new.

Does anyone realize that just formatting a post like this is essentially saying "don't read this?" Because nobody reads that shit.

Most of the internet atheists wound up going one of four ways.

1. The first group went full woke. Even people who were initially with the so-called "Skeptics" of 2014-2016 switched sides back to the leftist camp, as seen with TJ Kirk and Shoe. The majority of online atheists who are still at it in 2021 have gone down this route.

2. The second group realized their fight against the fundies of the 80's and 90's was finally won back in 2008 and just quietly fucked off. Most of the offline atheists who had lives of their own took this route.

3. The third group still vaguely see themselves in the left camp but are still very much anti-woke and haven't quite found the balls to fully leave the left, they're probably the smallest group. Bill Maher and Richard Dawkins fit into this camp.

4. The last group were vaguely right-wing atheists and when woke became a thing, they didn't switch sides and ended up rebranding themselves as "traditionalists" and started LARP'ing as edgy Christian theocrats. Nick Fuentes is a fairly good example of this group, as is Vox Day.
Did Vox Day have an atheist phase? He's been doing the Christian theocrat thing since at least Sad Puppies, 2014 or so.

Also, how does James Lindsay fit into this model? I first bumped into him in 2014-ish, when he was still getting fitted for Babby's First Fedora, and wrote him off as another irrelevant Dawkins wannabe- the cross paths with him again half a decade later to discover that he's spent the intervening time mainlining red pills. One of the most heartening radical transformations I've ever seen TBH

Isn't being Islamophobic (as well as anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, etc) kind of the point of atheism?
I always thought it the most bullshit thing these assholes do. If you're going to shit on Christian organizations for their trash, then sure as hell shit on the other religious groups for their trash too.

The condemnation of "Islamophobia" in the mid-late 00s was the reason the youtube skeptics emerged. They were almost all atheists who were kicked out by the Atheism+ crowd.

Sometimes, I forget Atheism+ was the result of people thinking they should cram sjw shit into atheism and driving the train straight off the rails. It went as far as even the staunchest members and figureheads being afraid to deride Islam's dumb beliefs or practices (because that's Islamophobic, don't you know).
