I'm a little late, but after the watching the video a few times I'm slightly concerned on where Alex is trying to take Ayano's character.
I get he wanted her to be an empty girl who people would feel pity for after seeing how terrible her life has been up 'till now, but it seriously contradicts the image he was going for. Alex wanted Ayano to be the only one to actually love Senpai in compare with the other rivals, but now it just seems like Ayano doesn't really care about who Senpai truly is, but just wants to be around him because he makes her feel like an actual human being, which sorta kills the entire vibe she was supposed to have, because hence, she's supposed to be a fucking yandere.

Something else that bothered me was the way they tried explaining her emotions. It's clear that the idea Alex & the people who helped wanted Ayano to not be emotionless, rather somebody who could feel emotions but not to a certain level like an average person would.
That is why she would feel pity, frustration, anger and depression (to a certain extent) but never truly happy.

From what i'm getting here, this just seems like an unrealistic case of a girl who can't feel emotions to a certain extent like a normal person, got poisoned with the idea that meeting a man would ''change her life drastically'' and so when it actually happened it fucked her up as a person because she believes it's the only way she'll truly be ''human''.

tl;dr: NONE OF THIS FITS THE YANDERE ROLE ALEX, I get what you're going for, even if you didn't succeed in it entirely, but it's still not the way you're type of game should go for.

It's really just him being dumb and using this as his excuse to make an edgy emotionless killer girl. Back in the beginning of the thread people tended to discuss his first game a lot, which I forget the name of. But it was pretty much that, an emotionless girl goes on a murder rampage because she's emotionless and edgy.

You may also know that Yansim isn't an original idea. He took it from old video game idea threads on /v/. So when it became popular, he snuck in these character traits because he doesn't WANT to make a game about a yandere, he doesn't think that's sexy. He wants his edgy murder-bitch who hates humanity. He begrudgingly has to make Ayano fit with what people want, because he probably knows if he went full on with making his old game again, it'd be just as shit. People like the idea of yansim, that's all he has.

And he seems to be failing at that.
Not really. The fangirls are all eating it up like candy.

For the first time in a long while, I’ve got a new build that has more new additions than bug-fixes! I won’t be calling this one a “Bug-Fixing Build” – this one’s a Minor Improvement Build! As you can probably imagine, it contains a bunch of minor changes and additions that improve the quality of the game!

Is this something you want to brag about, Alex?

So far the only 'addition' I see in that list is the aesthetic ability to sit at the fountain area.

his channel is starting to look more like a bunch of edgy concept ideas that'll never happen rather than a channel that talk about his progress on YS, and I'm pretty sure the whole "I constantly get new ideas for new features" happen when you're at the very beginning of the development and not almost 4 years after

Edit : Just realized he really wants to implement the human trafficking idea from before, jesus eva you never know when to stop

Oh gosh. He really made a video about that horrible idea, huh? That's really distasteful. Gross. And of course the fan base loves it. As everything ever suggested.

I have to admit, I liked the concept of the game once. But this so-called dev has clearly lost that and yes, trying to make this his new "edgy killing simulator with busty boobies".

And I wonder what Tinybuild thinks about this route Alex is erm.. taking? And most of all, I wonder how proud his parents must be...

I'm a weirdo, but I know where the line is and is long crossed.
