Especially considering the fact that it's supposed to be a prestigious academy for only select students from wealthy, influential families. I think somebody would notice if a bunch of rich kids started going missing left and right.

That's my problem with the game's whole setting. Most of these kids come from wealthy or privileged families in this 'highly prestigious school.' And yet when the kids get bullied, murdered, commit suicide, framed, poisoned, or disappear, these parents don't seem to mind that the school does little [if anything at all] and the police only spend an afternoon investigating. Barring the implausibility of the 'police don't do much with the school because of the embarrassing Aishi murder trial' backstory, these parents would use their money/power to raise hell on everyone involved if something happened to their kids and nobody did squat. But Alex's parents don't call him out on his shit and he's never been to grade school in his life, so of course he'd have no idea what a concerned parent looks like, let alone an angry one.

Yeah, that's Sonico alright. The game is called Sonicomi: Communication With Sonico and it's on Steam or on certain online stores. You play the role as a photographer. Sonico, who's a model, is your client and you take pictures of her and interact with her as you play through the game. You can dress her up in certain outfits and clothes while you take pictures of her in different scenarios.

I'm sure Eva is playing the game for obvious reasons. Sonico has pink hair and the game has jiggle physics for Sonico's boobs.

Further, given how Japanese society has a traditional strong deference to authority, criminal activity is regarded as an offense to this cultural credo and thus those prone to criminal acts tend to stand out.

Who needs actual facts when you can just have the police finish their entire investigation in one afternoon? You would expect the police to release framed students as soon as more bodies turn up, but programming that takes effort. Also, programming actual measures being taken by the school or police, like suspending classes or closing said school, is haaaard! Finally, the parents are just as numb to feelings as yandere-chan, so they don't care about what happens to their children. Don't ask why!

Meh. This game is never getting finished because he's an amateur programmer who has taken a bigger bite than he can chew. The project constantly lives with new features being added every now and then. So there's a lot of everything but nothing is finished and nothing is getting finished because one guy (especially this guy) just can't do it all. I don't know the current situation but the code was a mess at one time with horrible frame rate. If that hasn't been fixed it should be fixed ASAP because the more it gets postponed the harder it will be to fix.

Also changing programming languages doesn't help much. Sure some languages are better than others at some stuff (but that's another autistic debate altogether) but shit code is shit code and it won't somehow magically fix itself if you change the language.
