I legit feel uncomfortable critiquing Chris' appearance on the chance Chris really is transgendered, but eyeshadow isn't enough to appear feminine, and that stubble doesn't help at all.

This half-assed femininity honestly makes it harder for me to respect Chris as a woman than if s/he did nothing at all.
Chris isn't though. As others have pointed out he's doing this for two reasons, he doesn't like males and thinks dressing up as a like an old baglady will bring the girlfriend-free girls running to him for sexy-times (and that they'll be totally okay with him actually being male) and two, he's an idiot.

Confirmed: Chris has a new habit to blow his money on. At least it's not Lego or junk food.
It's like Sonic and Pokemon - he's found something new to express his identity, and there's merchandise available!
Which is not a requirement for being diagnosed as trans.

But there are plenty of other reasons for him not to qualify.
I know very little on the subject, but isn't it the case that before you transition, you have to go through psychiatric analysis to determine that it's definitely a good idea? I'd be interested to see what the verdict would be if Chris went through that. Not that he has any intention of actually transitioning, but.

Chris wouldn't get very far. To be diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria under DSM IV/V you have to have a strong cross gender identification, and experience stress and discomfort from typical gender roles. But it can't be due to the desire for any perceived cultural advantages of the other sex. With the way Chris acts and the statements he makes, he'd probably be disqualified pretty early in the process based on thee second part.

Chris clearly has a lot of gender confusion, but it's more likely due to a combination of stupidity, autism, and general Chandler-esque behavior than actual Gender Dysphoria.

I'm sure there are more than a few tg board members that can give more info than I have, as well.

This.

[puts on the Serious Hat]

A sane, non-corrupt psychiatrist would look at the mess of a person in front of them, see a plethora of various mental issues that are obvious to anyone who spends at least five minutes talking to Chris, then send him to sort out these first before they can even discuss his gender issues. Except he wouldn't do anything to improve himself, because he's Chris.

Even in the astronomically unlikely scenario in which he wouldn't be turned around right away, he wouldn't pass the real-life experience prerequisite for hormone therapy and surgery. Even assuming (again, astronomically unlikely) that the requirements don't scare Chris outright, he would be unable to do what could be called "living full time as a woman" even under the most charitable definition. And then there's the legal paperwork.

Transition is a long, complex, mentally draining process, one that Chris has neither the patience for, nor even a vague understanding what it actually entails.

I generally try to assume good faith and give people the benefit of doubt, as I myself fit only the relatively lax modern standards and don't at all live up to the 1960-80s medical stereotypes of what a transwoman "should" be (basically, a doormat, and STRAIGHT, girly-girl obedient housewife). But a line has to be drawn somewhere. Maybe if Chris turned his life around, wisened up, became a better person, realized that he was wrong in the past and demonstrated actual respect for others... then I'd maybe consider the possibility that this is not just attention-seeking. But we know that it's not happening.

Just curious, would Chris also be likely to rejected as being unable to actually conform to a female social role? I mean, he goes on and on about how much he hates JERKS and how great women are, but one thing that keeps bugging me is that I can't imagine him being able to socialize with women as a woman effectively. Almost everything Chris cares about is shit relatively few 30-something women care about, and his severe lack of social skills would be even more noticeable if he were a woman than as a man. I keep picturing female!Chris going to a book group or something and sperging at everyone there about Sonichu and trolls and the HEXBOX for five hours.

I don't get the impression Chris actually wants to transition, but he does seem to want to in some way have a female gender role socially, and I can't get my head around how he thinks he could manage that.

That is a real good point. What interests does Chris think he shares with adult women? He'd have an easier time finding males who share his interests. However, even that would be difficult because of how superficial Chris is in these interests.

Sometimes I get sad when I think about how much better Chris' life could have been if he had just gotten over his hatred of JERKS and gotten some guy-pals. :( Like, not Lucas and Mimms or whoever, but people he actually had over to his house and could form some sort of real bond with. Ironically, I'm sure a big part of the reason Chris hates men is because guys tend to be more direct in telling you when you're pissing them off or doing something stupid. But that's exactly what he desperately needs: someone to tell him, "Hey, Chris, don't do XYZ."

I really think it would have made him a lot better socialized. Maybe he wouldn't be so isolated with only :snorlax: for company today.

Chris's posts on the Tomgirls and Tomboys forum betray how badly he interacts with even his "own kind". All he can say about himself is generic crap (I like music, makeup, bein' a girl, and vidya), how much he hates guys, how hetero he is, and his toys.

Chris again proves he is a generous Godking by sharing codes for a demo of Super Smash Bros. 3DS

He also proves beyond all doubt that he frequents this forum by responding to doubts that his girlfriend is legitimate and not imaginary or some troll.

Given his track record of falling for troll girlfriends and thinking women were his girlfriend when they were not, I'm having a hard time believing him. Sorry, Chris.

Even if he was transgendered (Or Genderqueer or whatever else) it doesn't put him above criticism. (Just like having autism isn't a get out of jail card for bad behavior)

And by criticism I don't mean making fun of him for wearing feminine stuff but lack of personal hygiene, wearing ridiculous clothes (Like a bra saying WANT WOMEN to an event full of kids) and that kind of thing.

I agree, if Chris had just had someone to play video games and watch cartoons with after school he'd be way less antisocial.

Too True.
"All dees goldang wimmenfolk seem to talk about is periods, eatin' yogurt and....JERKS! All of dem talkin 'bout how 'Clive Owens got a kyooot butt!' I hateses the tricksy wimmenfolk! This isn't what I wuz promised! And da lesbians r even worse. All they talk about is periods, eatin' yogurt and DA PATRIARCHY!!"

Almost everything Chris cares about is shit relatively few 30-something women care about,
Even Truer!
"Why is it all about Soap Oprah and 'glass cielings'. Why do dese women not like God a War and Pokeymans....I dont wanna learn needlepoint or candlemakin'. Dose things aren't flashy and dey are hard and give me stuhress and make me crash into slumber with hurty fingers and candlewax on me!"

and his severe lack of social skills would be even more noticeable if he were a woman than as a man. I keep picturing female!Chris going to a book group or something and sperging at everyone there about Sonichu and trolls and the HEXBOX for five hours.
Though in this context, I'm sure some matronly matriarch would politely by firmly quiet "Christine Apple Krysp" down so that other people can talk....followed by everyone "forgetting" to invite Christine to the next book club meeting.

EDIT: Aw, shit, dawg....this next bit is tacky, hacky and gross, but I can't resist:

(stereotypical "feminine hygiene product commercial music" playing lightly in the background.)
Young Lady "....Mom....have you ever had that....'No so fresh feeling'?"
Mother: "No, dear, because I wash my nether regions like a civilized adult."
Young Lady "Oh."
Mother: "Especially since I met this...person...at the last Book Club Meeting. Ye Gods! 'She' ALWAYS has that 'Not So Fresh Feeling.' You could smell it from 30 feet away! Godsakes, are we cavewomen here! GAG!"

Voiceover: "If you are a dirty manbaby who is the living embodiment of the 'Not So Fresh Feeling', you can douche with this....."

(A bottle of Drano fills the screen)

Voiceover: "....and everyone else can feel cleaner."
(music swells, advert ends.)

I dis-agree.

I feel Fatty can't be social no matter what kind of situation he's placed into.

He never learned to get along with others so no matter what social context you provide for him he will just end up alienating everyone around him until he's by himself once again.

He's a generally unpleasant person to be around who makes no effort to fit in. He be alone until he figures this out.

Chris commented on his "my girlfriend is real and I didn't spend all my money on lego" status with "and she's not a troll or imaginary!"
I was instantly transported back in time to the good old days of Julay, Blanca, and Ivy. The only let down was that it wasn't God who told him she's real.
But, long story short, I think this confirms that she was likely an OkCupid girl who talked to him a bit, met in IRL, and is now trying her best to get out.
