I don't remember, was he always a terrible liar or did the designer shoes and jackets get to him? (He's the most well-dressed hobbit I know and almost ridiculously overdressed if you think about the old T-shirt and blue jeans that's the usual in that particular industry)

Also everybody who believes anything some random youtuber says can only blame themselves. Look at that online therapy mess that happened because of shilling. Youtubers would pimp out their own grandma for money and/or fame, lying about some game is certainly not below them. Wait for the opinion of the poor assholes that actually end up playing the games and for the love of god, don't ever preorder anything. You're only encouraging all this shit if you do.

I don't know his angle on this one, to be honest, but Danny O'Dwyer has been in the game for a while and isn't exactly a "random youtuber". I'd like to think he's still a good guy, which is largely founded by how many people on ResetERA/Reddit don't like him, but that documentary was remarkably soft considering what that game looked like on release.

It does really, really feel like he took Patreon money to make the documentary and then Bethesda kicked him some more to make it positive, though.

It's funny Todd says that, because they don't work quickly. It takes them 2 to 4 years to make a game. They're not like Ubisoft that's been shitting out an Assassin's Creed game every year since 2007! When you make the French look like dedicated, industrious workers then maybe you reexamine your priorities, and your business model.

And the reason it takes that long despite how shitty their games are is because Gamebryo is shit. They actually would be able to pop them out every year for pennies if they were using a better engine. Ubisoft streamlined their own engine (AnvilNext) and development formula so ruthlessly that they were shitting out games every six months at one point.

This is actually pretty pathetic at this point.

Yeah, give them better games made by a more competent company. Remind them of how good games were before DLC, Live Services and Microtransactions.

They were attempting this bribe during the pre-order, during the beta.

Now the whole world knows how shit it is, this offer is even MORE insulting.

I'm pretty sure GOG gave FO1, FOW, and FOT away for free not to long ago as well. If I remember right it was to spite Bethesda too.

Yeah, Bethesda wouldn't let then renew the license for it, but law basically requires you to keep it downloadable. So they just gave it away free to their entire userbase to give them the finger. Nothing Bethesda could do about it either.

This is actually pretty pathetic at this point.

I know it won't happen, but imagine if people play them and start yelling at Bethesda at what the fuck they did to Fallout. I imagine that they figure no one will play them so this is a largely empty gesture.

Does this mean you can go Redbox it for 2$ and get free PS4/XB1 copies of actual good fallouts, or is this going to be a situation when Bethesda clarifies that the games are PC-only and console gamers can get fucked?

That's actually how I got those games. And I didn't have to spend $40-60 on a garbage product.
I got them as a bundle for pretty much like 20 bucks total courtesy of either Gamestop or some other random place that sold a three pack CD of them a good while back. I reckon at least a decent proportion of the PC player base also owns them too, either getting them after finding out about the series when playing 3, or being there from the start.

It's really fucking pathetic for Bethesda to be that desperate after trying to rip those off of GOG, and proof that they realized that they fucked up, but doesn't want to do free-to-play or make the microtransactions at least fairer to the playerbase while giving a free "fan pack" instead of like 30 bucks for those who bought full price.
