Did some more work on my Kiwi Flag for Fallout 4, it DOES look a lot better with a flat flag mesh:

Also, it's got a reversed flag look on the other side, so if you want flags with the symbology reversed, just flip one around in the workshop.

Going to do some more work on it, make sure it has no artifacts and to make the texture normals don't look like crap up close, then I'll post a link here for interested Kiwis.

So it's just what I suspected, Bethesda simply dropped an online mod over the top of the existing engine, instead of changing anything about the engine for running online. They have virtually not touched the engine itself, since it still has the bugs that were never fixed, such as engine speed being connected to framerate. And almost everything is done client side.

So since 2015, after Fallout 4, Bethesda has supposedly had this gigantic team, that's basically put together, after 3 years, something a small team of modders could do, with an online mode, and then tacked on a microtransaction store.

This makes Metal Gear Survive look like they put in effort.

I remember when World of Warcraft was considered so ridiculous huge at 25gb that they built a streaming client. Say what you like about console plebs holding back gaming at least companies trying to fit their games on to dvd's saved us rural folk from 2 week download times.
