Fallout series

Yeah, you can fuck off back to /v/ with this troll shit.
I love how you immediately dismiss my opinion. Interplay were pioneers in the RPG world, and Obsidian would treat the Fallout IP much better than Bethesda.
(I have never been to /v/, I find imageboard layouts confusing. Hopefully Null will fix that)

Look, i just said i dont care about old ass shit, if i wanted to play them i'd downgrade to fucking dos, as for Fallout and shit, as far as im concerned 3 and 4 were the ONLY good games from the series. NV getting as much praise as it did was solely because it was derivative of 3

It seems you are trying to "troll" me with these baiting posts. I am done here. No one but a troll would seriously think that Fallout 4 is any good at all or that Fallout 3 is better than NV.

lol what, Fallout 4 is easily the best game in the series

you obviously have never played a fallout game and are just going by reviews

I feel personally think Fallout New Vegas was a bit too impersonal plot-wise - I found it hard to really be invested in all that was going on around me, even with having recovered from being shot in the head. I dunno 'bout you guys, but if that happened to me, I'd probably leave that guy alone - generally, getting your ass kicked by some guy means you don't go looking for him as soon as you stop hearing the voices.

Whereas Three and Four are both about more personal things, stuff that actually matters to your character - whether that be finding your father or your son, both are a lot more personal, with lots of fun stories abound rather than something trying to tie everything together. I suppose I just enjoy the fact that, ultimately, the plots of the Bethesda Fallouts feel a lot more centered and focused, without them messing with everywhere else, whereas New Vegas just felt like a total clusterfuck of factions trying to piss at eachother and trying to shove moral dilemma upon moral dilemma.

Also Four is a lot more fun than New Vegas as an actual game.

lol what a faggot

Well, that was awkward.

Tardfights aside, the game is still proving to be fun. The voice acting is distinctly improved from 3 and NV, the voiced protagonist isn't the flaming car crash that everyone was expecting, and aside from a few clipping errors (which you're going to get with any game that has ragdoll physics anyway), it seems to be pretty stable on the PS4 at least. The inbuilt crafting and modding system is actually pretty good, too: I reckon they've got the balance between scarcity and utiltity about right.

That's what I noticed from the first previews, the voice actors put emotion into their voices this time. Also the modding system looks nice, I'm surprised it is as complex as it is as I was expecting Skyrim's crafting/modding system.

I enjoy Fallout 4 as much as I enjoyed New Vegas.

Jesus fucking christ, what is fuck is wrong with you? how the fuck do you have an opinion this bad? are you a goddamn exceptional individual or something? i mean holy shit bethesda shouldnt have to give shit to obsidian, and you should go fuck yourself.
Oblivion and Skyrim are overrated pieces of shit. The plot and dark humor of NV are so much deeper than Bethesda's cookie-cutter generic fantasy/apocalypse plots.
I wouldn't mind seeing NV recognized as a piece of art, really.
I can't tell which one of you is baiting harder.

I would honestly say me, if only because i dont know if bertram really took that long to figure out i was "only pretending to be retarded".
Anyways, New vegas is a game i myself going back to time after time, I've tried doing that with three but fuck do i hate its long as fuck 'intro' in the vault. besides the expansions for NV seemed fairly better.

There's mods out there to skip it, I know KOTOR had the same problem with Taris (which was a solid 5 or 6 hours of content at that)

The intro is very important to the game, it establishes the plot and many of the main characters while familiarizing the player with many of the mechanics present in the game. This was especially important in Fallout 3 because the game was new, many players were only familiar with the older Fallout games.
The intro is also very well designed, playing the intro has been the height of my enjoyment as far as Fallout 3 is concerned. By skipping the intro, you are skipping one of the best parts of the game and thrusting yourself into an unfamiliar world.

I actually didn't like the intro of Fallout 3. I thought it had some golden moments like the interactions with Dad, but those were too short for me to actually become attached to him as a character. I also felt that the whole unrest in the Vault and escape from the Vault came a little sooner than it should have. I was just sort of forced into dealing with killing characters I had no attachment to and fighting through the Vault was more annoying than fun.
It's still leagues above the Fallout 4 intro though. Man I could not be more disappointed with that intro.
