Fallout series

I want to not agree with this post but sadly I have to. Fallout 4 while very mediocre and dumbed down was not woke. In fact I struggle to think of a single moment in FO4 that was overtly woke or lefty propaganda.

By contrast The Outer Worlds was extremely woke almost to the point of parody and I have no doubt they'd ruin Fallout if given the chance.
Basedthesda Vs The Virgsidion
What is interesting about Bethesda is their approach when making troons characters in Fallout 76 which may not be really woke. I haven't played Fallout 76 and have no interest in playing it - but I feel like they are clearly either secretly making fun of them or doing it in the 'weird sci-fi' style. Fallout 76 has 2 troons, one is a man-in-a-makeup raider called Burke who's clearly a delusional and think he was beyond human and one of his friend even called him a man. He was actually written by a troon and voiced by a troon though, which made it much more funnier in its lack of self-awareness, because if you're not neck deep in the troon shit he can totally be read as another post-apoc nutjob of Mad Max world with too much self-importance. Another is a mysterious Enclave agent who looks like Ellen Page, may or may not be human as we know it.

I was worried about Bethesda getting too woke when they allowed pronoun in Starfield, but I wonder if they'll have a sci-fi wink at it instead of the gender ideology bullshit we're seeing now because they revealed that in setting, human can get their genetic changed and rebuild their body again. Bethesda can get surprisingly deep in its concept like Morrowind, and even with Fallout 4, while it is obviously dumbed down in term of dialogues, quest complexities and roleplay possibilities - there are some good unreliable narrators bits that autist nerds tend to not get it and calling it bad writing. For example - the synth debate, where there are characters are saying different things about their biology, but if you pay attention to the story, you'll know that one guy is clearly lying in the marketer pitch style of 'possibilities' and other characters prove him wrong. (They're basically clones with mind control chip in their brain and needs to eat and sleep like human)

If I had the chance of Obsidian to make a Fallout spin-off I'd do something similar, only instead of an Overseer you play a resident in an extremely detailed vault. It'd be the only area you could play in but in exchange you could spend time and money making it as deep and fleshed out as possible.

It'd be like expanding on the start of FO3, you'd play through your character's life and be able to determine how your fellow vault dwellers turn out.

I'd say a spinoff of Fallout would need to take place in Orlando after its catalytic nuclear explosion.

@Deepland Bystander In the science fiction book The Unincorporated Man it talks about people getting "trans bods" for Mardi Gras and I was repulsed and offended until I kept reading and eventually found that a "trans bod" meant body modifications like wings.
To be fair transing out for Mardi Gras is understandable considering its you know, Mardi Gras. Wouldn't want to look like that back home, but its entirely in line with the actual event.

Fallout and Fallout 2 are the only real Fallout games. If you want Fallout play those two. Not even New Vegas is as good as the first 2 games.

The total conversion mods like resurrection and Nevada are alright and keep to the time line/lore.

I never played much of the Bethesda Fallout games. I did finish Fallout 2 in the early 2000's and got close to finishing Fallout 1.
