Bethesda really should just stick to TES.
Even the weapons in Skyrim are awful looking.
Better-Shaped Weapons is a must have mod, if you want your swords to look like swords, not paddles.

The discord messages have been confirmed as fake by the man himself in the mods #announcements channel.
Gotta love the implications of infighting so people witchunt the people they dont like
Anyways, called it on being a gay op, it would've been too good to have a deported mexican modder with the recent election and the leaked messages were way too on the nose.

This guy sounds like a huge faggot, I bet he manufactured the entire conspiracy himself, from the "Mexican developer is being deported", to the "Shame on you, racists, for believing in this story! I am a victim and wordswordswordswords"

He should be crucified for his narcisism

I have this theory/mod idea and I wanted to ask you guys if you think it would work. Do you think FO4's weapon modding system would work better if it was like FNV's where you have to seek them out through merchants and the world? I've had the idea for a while but before I did any real work I wanted to see if there were any glaring issues with it beforehand.

Leak the files, this shit will never come out at this point. Let the fans potentially finish it in the future, just like with Vault 13 Project.
even if the mod itself is unsalvageable you could absolutely strip the custom assets and port them.
I really don't get why mod makers don't do this. Instead of letting your mod die have it up for adoption. At least it might have a chance to be finished (even though it won't be exactly the way the mod author envisioned it)
The worst offenders are the Half Life modders who have impressive mods wither and die on the vine.

Literally his grandchild lol, but due to having been living in the wasteland their entire life the Chosen One would be considered a mutant in the same way the Enclave looked at the wastelanders in Fallout 3.

Edit: Fixed a typo
I personally label grandchildren under the same tag as descendant (it is a nitpick but oh well) to make it clear that the two games are linked heavily via main characters. Lore accurately, I totally agree with your point By coming at this from a realistic perspective I feel like bending this slightly for humor purposes doesn't ruin the initial plot or subtext surrounding tribalism or Eugenics in FO2. There's also an inherent difference and irony that is made clear in the game through Frank Horrigan which, when contrasted with the chosen one seems small in comparison. I was trying to focus on that from a humourous perspective. In short, I am capable of understanding the nuances to the game itself but I'm purposely bending this for solely comedic purposes. Not looking to debate in favour of or against Enclave ideology surrounding the wasteland gene pool.

Explaining this in depth really sucks the life out of my initial post.

Sure…If you like anorexic looking swords. The swords look as you’d expect for a fantasy setting (no greatsword should be as thin as a rapier or a katana). Granted, I wouldn't expect the same swords in KCD but even then not every sword in KCD is shaped like a rapier. In your defense the images on your post might just look really bad.

A lot of modders are ironically enough extremely protective of the things they create to the point where they will typically force people who use their "original" creations without permission to take them down, which usually succeeds since many modern modding sites are staffed by the same narcissistic hypocrites. Sure they could be a good samaritan and just dump the files of a project they've abandoned for somebody with more passion or talent to finish the job, but then THEY wouldn't be the ones getting the sole credit in the end.

They haven't completed the most important step of being a true and honest artist/creator and that's killing their ego. I understand safeguarding stuff you've made from people who may or may not ruin the whole thing with their different "interpretations" but that usually only applies to things made from the ground up, not mods that are 50% borrowed assets from others more courteous by even allowing such things in the first place.

ID Software and Carmack could have struck down Valve in their infant years for taking their Quake engine to make the Gold Source engine, but they didn't even though there was a chance they could eventually surpass them which they did but the world is now richer in content for it. The original modding spirit is sadly almost extinct now so these projects will just rot on the shelves unfinished forever.

I do like realistic weapons when they're appropriate. The redesigns for Skyrim's clash with its art style and feel too mundane for a fantasy setting.
