Fallout series

Kill Chuck Stodgers or nuke the Commonwealth.
Chuck Stodgers is more worthy than Shaun. Nuke the Commonwealth it is.

the ghoulified beachgoers are a fun idea, but i don't think those inflatable beach floaties would survive unpopped for 200 years
In the Fallout timeline, going with the idea that most of the geopolitics and culture are stuck in a 1950s stasis, it would make sense for Cuba to remain a heavily American-influenced banana republic, with casino and resort scene that is comparable to Las Vegas in terms of American investment and popularity.
One would only wonder if there might be some ghoulified Castro reference that'll try to "liberate" post apocalyptic Cuba. That or Soviet ghouls who either think fighting post-apocalyptic America is a good idea.

I decided this was the only reasonable response I could make.View attachment 504692
Intelligent Deathclaws?

If you are ever missing talking Deathclaws you can always play Tactics and get some in your squad.

Smh, Bethsoft should give up partial ownership of Fallout and then there could be the stupidly awesome title of WASTELAND'S FALLOUT.

I wonder how compatible the lore is.
Super :late:, but to answer your question, not very compatible. Wasteland was developed during the 80's and it shows through the flavorful text and pop-culture references. Fallout on the other hand is a retro-future based on the 50's with pulp comic influences and 50's pop culture references

The real divide is that Wasteland came out just before the end of the Cold War, going by the assumption that it wouldn't end until WW3 broke out, so there's no "divergence" as there is in the Fallout series -- the nuclear war happens in 1998 or so, with the traditional United States/NATO vs. USSR/Warsaw Pact struggle everyone was afraid of.

Obsidian Entertainment has been slowly going towards that path since Chris Avellone left the company.

It's not the notion of "reclaiming" Lovecraft that rankles. Old Howard was racist to point of it being pathological; so racist it becomes sort of funny at points. You want to make a point of Lovecraftian horror being for everyone, go right ahead. It's a nice goal. The problem is the smug triumphalism that implies the mere act of "reclaiming" earns you a spot in the literary pantheon.

I'm sorry, babe, but until you write "The Dunwich Horror" or "The Colour out of Space" or "The Shadow over Innsmouth" you're just a bullshit pretender with a bullshit agenda.

>be Todd Howard
>tell us Fallout 76 won't rely solely on always-online gameplay
>Fallout 76 is always online
>do not release on Steam because fuck day one sales amirite
>use their patented lag launcher that does not allow refunding

Hahahahahaha.

Oh man.

To me, it looks/feels like a mod for FO4 with a multiplayer feature.

FO Miami looks 100x better than 76 and Miami is free.
