Fallout: The Frontier - Done, and it's a hilarious shitshow

When I said south I meant like south of Las Vegas. So like more Southern Nevada or Arizona.
Las Vegas is about as far south as you can get and still be in Nevada though. You actually cross back over the current California border just south of Primm, with Nipton inside the CA borders as well before you hit Searchlight after crossing back over into Nevada. For example, that T intersection just south of Boulder City is Searchlight, with Cottonwood Cove pretty much right at the bulge in the river right to the east. Going south lands you in Laughlin and the meeting point of the three states, and then any further south and that's a straight-up warzone as the NCR and Legion fight over Needles, Havasu, and Blythe because losing I-10 at Needles or I-40 at Blythe lets the Legion march west into the Boneyard. Alternatively, losing Blythe means the NCR gets to march into Phoenix, which would tear the guts out of what little civilian infrastructure the Legion has, and allow the NCR to set up a major supply line before moving north.

No way in hell is any of that down south a frontier, not when its a straight shot to the guts of either side.

Assuming the map I posted earlier is canonically correct the closest they would come to a frontier would be in Utah in and around what’s called Ouroboros but even then that’s not officially under the legions control, it’s just where the white legs could hypothetically strike.

To be honest the NCR campaign would make more sense in Arizona. Assuming they wanted to go the CoD route and have a lot more combat.

On that note, if the old interplay was making a fallout miami game you just know they'd throw a mutated ghoul golden girls reference. Probably 'the godlen ghouls' in some burned out house in miami for the sake of adding in pop culture references
To be honest, that would rock.

Especially if they have Sophia as a Glowing One that gives you radiation burns as she delivers sick burns.

Well, what used to be New Canaan (thanks to Ulysses) is what used to be Ogden up in Utah, with the nuked ruins of SLC to the South of it. There's the East-West highway between that metropolitan area that leads into either Vault City (indisputably NCR territory) or Broken Hills but that's well out of Legion range, and its why Caesar had Ulysses use the White Legs to burn down New Canaan. Arroyo and Klamath are both actually in Southern Oregon, so judging by that map they're actually getting close to Eugene. Very nice place for a shooter campaign.

makes one wonder what the fuck where those trannies doing for seven years
I couldn’t imagine putting that much time into a project let alone a mod, maybe it’s the millennial in me and lack of commitment is built in, but damn.

Though it’s amusing that they kept the really crazy shit under wraps for so long, according to that homo with mantis avatar there were warning signs but I didn’t see them.

My experience with the Frontier prior to release was laughing at the “I’m only Human” trailer and checking in on /v/ during a lunch break and seeing a bunch of Enclave posting.

I have a feeling that there were probably just a few of them that did any real work… probably some of the ones who were less prominent in the drama.
I would imagine it was similar to that Hearts of Iron mod that Jersh covered (anarcho-communist amputee)

If they throw in a Bren Ten/S&W 645 and let me LARP as post-apoc Sonny Crockett I'll happily consoom.

The Mcvickers stream has a highlights reel on YouTube with a link to the full thing, holy shit. I forgot how fantastic that thing is, Phobos was the one being interviewed and his tone on that stream was peak “cope, seethe, dilate” with the different phases changing by the hour.

Mcvickers for whatever autistic reason read every superchat, when the ones clearly filled with hate, disgust, contempt and jokes at the Frontier dev’s expense.

Old news but I know the stream was gone for awhile so if you missed it or you ever want some background noise/good laugh that highlight reel is consistently hilarious.
