...and he'll grant you a wish?Give a manchild a fish / teach a manchild to fish.
He could burn down his house again.I think that is reasonable. As was said above, the fire was a one-time event, those of us who felt particularly white-knighty were able to provide a one-time solution to it. This is an ongoing problem, that the money flow out is greater than the money flow in. If someone put forward an idea to help Chris that was a) likely to work b) realistic and c) provided a permanent or ongoing solution, I, for one, would be open to contributing a little time/money to it. But I can't think of one.
But those are totally business investments! To the left with you!It should be noted that in the past four days of Chris "having monies and not having monies", he's purchased another $30 in Lego figurines. Some helmets, boxing glove accessories, and a handful of itchy and scratchy figurines (MULTIPLES) from the Simpsons sets.
Don't. Seriously.
You want to see him get better? Don't do shit. Crashing and burning is about the only way I can imagine him learning responsibility at this point. The only other alternative is him continuing on like he has, but that obviously can't last and he'll use whatever money and well-wishes he gets to construct an even bigger hole for himself. Save your sympathy and he might actually get better.
Fixed
This is it exactly. He feels so entitled to have whatever toys he wants that a lack of toys is all he means when he claims to be desperate for money.
Does anyone here really want that? Knowing terrible things are going to happen to him, accepting that terrible things are going to happen to him, and not intending to lift a finger when terrible things do happen to him (because it wouldn't day any good), is not the same thing as wanting terrible things to happen to him.I really hope things turn out ok for him and Barb. Chris is simply a doofus on the internet, if you legitimately want terrible things to happen to him you need to really re-evaluate your life.
Donate them to a local children's charity in Chris' name.i won't send chris money but i'll take photos of myself buying legos and throwing them in the garbage
The well is dry. It's over. It has passed on! This well is no more! It has ceased to be!
THIS IS AN EX-WELL!!
It's hard to pity someone who made over $2 grand in pocket money in a single month by doing virtually nothing. He got the cash and spent it on things he needed and shit that made him happy. He won. Too bad his hard-wired entitlement/victim-mentality bullshit keeps him from realizing that and enjoying this rare victory.
CWCstarter
Best case scenario we find a way to negotiate with him for the reboot of the comics. I'd pay dollar for those, for real. Not a lot, but if I thought another actual Sonichu issue with a plot and actual effort was going to emerge from the wreckage I'd happily contribute.
I don't think things will turn out okay for him and Barb until they've hit rock bottom. There has to be something that will cause them to wake up and realize their situation.
Chris don't just want toys now, that's childish, he needs them. And when you need something that's a responsibility, that only only an adult...of his maturity...toys!NEEDS toy money. 32 years old.
32 years OLD. Needs money for TOYS.
Well, I'm going to continue to be an optimist and believe in humanity's infinite potential for growth. Remove Chris from people who either enable or reinforce his behavior, it is possible he could still make something of his life.I had also believed that for a time, but thinking about it some more and taking into account what we know about Chris, I think when the time comes and he hits rock bottom that it'll be more likely that he will stay at rock bottom. He'll wallow in his misery and indulge in his victim complex, blaming everyone and their mothers, except for himself for his situation and sit stewing in a cardboard box on the street somewhere, expecting for someone else to come rescue him and turn his life around FOR him. Not everyone can be helped and not everyone can pick themselves back up after they fall, I now believe Chris is one of them. He's going to learn first hand that the world is infinitely crueler than what he had imagined and there isn't going to be a happy ending for him.
I hope nobody falls for this...
I hope nobody falls for this...
Chubby chasers who have a penchant for the most disgusting partners possible?Seriously. Who the fuck would pay for that?
