Chris is a modern day Henry Darger and I hope to God whoever stumbles upon his OC’s when the room is cleaned out sees their value or knows who Chris is. They unironically belong in a museum.

Chris is possibly the greatest outsider artist in history.
Literally the only reason I started following Chris back in the day was his art. It kept getting posted to 4chan about a hundred years ago and his super weird shitty art combined with his personality made it all just so fascinating.

Okay, psychfag here. Firstly IQ has many measures and there are many types of IQ tests that naturally all have a +/- rate some examples are the woodcock-johnson or weschler test. Chris 1000% recieved a visit from a forensic psychologist who basically do assessments on criminals and make recommendations to the court/testify based on this. Being a retard or at least "slow in the mind" is actually a valid mitigating circumstance on why you might not have been able to fully grasp your crime and thus why you should get a reduced sentence or alternative sentencing. (because not knowing it wasn't a crime is never a valid legal defense). Meeting Chris for an hour with no prior knowledge of him other than medical records and criminal for a clinical assessment is more than ample time you can tell he's slow in the mind as well as a turbo autist even when not on his escapist fantasies. (don't worry, no actual PhD psychologist or even a fucking masters degree counselor would mistake this for schizo shit because literal schizo is way way different). If they didn't give him an IQ test it's likely because he's too into his grandiose delusions to be able to comply or chimped out during it being administered.

People can be legally retarded and not be drooling tard type. Most sub 100 IQ people that you meet you will not be able to tell other than that they might seem a bit ignorant or country/ hoodrat type. They're people you would colloquially be like "eh they're a bit dumb sometimes" but wouldn't be concerned about. Most tards can use phones, internet, make social connections, work jobs, etc. They can blend into society just fine but are indeed, slow in the mind. Many tards might even have a very high EQ (emotional intelligence) to the extent that they can finesse themselves around into situations or jobs where they might not be capable mentally because they're just really good with people. Their other attributes can make them not looked retarded. Obviously, Chris is an autist and I would bet money that if I gave him a formal IQ test, he would be sub 100 even with the standard deviation taken into account.

Chris lacks critical thinking skills, basic problem solving abilities, pattern recognition, forethought, and the ability to actually meaningfully learn things. Autism has also graced him with no social intelligence so there's a double whammy on being inept.

Chris has competency in very few things, even things that he genuinely likes. As another user mentioned, he can't build a good deck that makes sense for Pokémon which most autists are good at seems to be unable to memorize rules or other things for a game which most autists can. He literally went to buy a toy when homeless and in his car because his brain cannot compute planning ahead. Even though he can compute that he "shouldn't" do certain things he doesn't actually understand why. He has never had a concept for consequences of his actions even with repeated reinforcement (such as don't touch girls weirdly) from weens over the years. He had shown the inability to learn on a level that is more extreme than that of the average cow. Continued reinforcement on "dont touch girls" and girls saying "don't do that" over and over even with consistent unending reinforcement for decades has never managed to register and it's not just because hes a creep. It's because he is physically incapable of impulse control.

His reasoning for why things are good or bad are also very childish and are not well elaborated on. He is incapable of explaining things well, even real things in his own life, and is very bad at mitigating his own feelings in a pro-social manner which cause weapons grade chimpouts and this is a mid functioning autist/tard crossover.

Even with the BEST interventions for Chris as a kid, he likely would have never been able to fully be independent as an adult. He probably still have needed a tugboat or to live with others but have an easy part time job like stocking shelves or being a bagger. A lot of people here have grossly overestimated his executive functioning levels for years but thats only because it's inconceivable for people who arent experienced in it to realize that he isn't mentally capable of understanding or doing certain things and wouldn't ever be even under the best care.

Just because he can put together sentences, some narc stories, word salads, or learn a few more complex pieces vocabulary doesn't mean he's not a clinical retard who will always need a wrangler.

Just a quick aside, ignorance of a law is a valid legal defense. I get that it's everyone's mom's favorite saying when they did something wrong as a kid, but appropriately it's a wives' tale.
Before anyone thinks I'm saying Chris could claim ignorance, no he can't. It applies specifically to goofy laws that states/towns enact and part of being able to claim ignorance is the town does nothing to post the law appropriately.
Say a town says you can't slurp soup, but doesn't post it anywhere, it isn't up in the restaurant district, stores aren't required to have it posted, etc... in that instance, because the law isn't common sense and you not only had no way of knowing, but no way of find out/being informed, ignorance is a valid argument.
It goes without saying that say you were doing something illegal and you killed someone, and the state you are in has felony murder statutes, you can't claim ignorance because you didn't know about that law.

How is intake at mental hospitals nowadays?

My only experience is movies and tv shows where such places are staffed with surly individuals with little patience, an instinct to forcefully make a patient comply and a not-too-gentle approach to cavity searches.
It depends on the area/state, if state facilities exist for the individual, then the waiting list for a bed is extremely long. Usually they get punted to the local hospital for "lodging" until a bed is ready.

I've seen patients wait anywhere from 3-124 days.

Forgot to mention, some areas have little to no psychiatric care facilities so then the local ER or city/county jail take over which are often not equipped to handle psychiatric patients who can be wildly unpredictable and physically violent.

Yup, Chris' defense will probably rely on this.

(because not knowing it wasn't a crime is never a valid legal defense).

Sort of, see below.

The test is if the defendant had the capacity or capability to understand that it was a crime. If they literally had no way of knowing. The soup slurping is an example where it was not common knowledge, and the law was not posted anywhere, so they had no way of knowing. The same would apply to a stretch of road with a 35 mph speed limit with no sign posted, surrounded by road with a posted 55 mph speed limit. That's why podunk town speed traps all have signs, though sometimes maliciously placed in a way where people might not see them if they aren't paying attention, as not paying attention while driving is no defense. (speed trap towns like to place their speed limit signs across from some distracting thing like a big garish billboard)

You can also lack the capacity due to mental dysfunction so bad that you had no ability to understand that you committed a crime. This is the core of the NGRI defense. I don't think that will happen here as Chris has expressed that he knew incest is illegal and wrong in the past. They'd have to prove that Chris had somehow become so mentally damaged that he had no way to remember that.

That's an incredibly high bar, because incest is one of those common-knowledge prohibitions, along with rape, murder, robbery, etc. that people are just assumed to know is illegal. So much so that people are surprised when they find out they live in a place that it *isn't* illegal.

Chris is lucky that mental-illness-based diminished capacity defenses have only very recently been allowed in Virginia court again.

He can control his impulses, just not based on a rational assessment from past data. People keep trying to train Chris like a human, when he really needs to be trained like a dog. You don't try to get dogs to understand complex ideas of social interaction, you get them to understand "Do this and bad thing immediately happens."

"Don't do that." is not a bad thing, it's just a failure that means his girl-touching didn't have the desired effect. Chris loses nothing when a girl says "Don't do that". To a person with a somewhat-functioning brain, "Don't do that" means that there are potential future social consequences that can cause misfortune in the future.

To Chris, "Don't do that" means he just doesn't get to touch anymore for some unspecified period (usually a few minutes to a few hours). It's not a consequence, just a temporary restriction.

On the other hand, Chris knows not to do certain things that cause him direct and immediate consequences of a simple enough nature that a dog would understand. He knows to let his food cool down before he eats it so he doesn't burn his mouth. He knows to run away when threatened (even though the situation is his fault to begin with).

If he got punched in the face every time he touched a girl. He would stop touching girls. Chris can learn basic things, and his impulses can be controlled with a reflexive understanding of the consequences, just not an intellectual understanding of them.

Chris learned the coping mechanism of self-aggrandizement, instead of the mechanism of self-doubt. His impulsivity, stupidity, and lack of understanding of others can probably never be fixed, but he might be able to be trained out of his coping mechanisms, even at his age. Self-doubt can be crippling too, but it helps autists make fewer mistakes.

It doesn't help that most self-help promoted in the mainstream is built around giving people more self-confidence.

Even if they're thrown out, at least much of them have been documented. If Aunt Harriet did throw them out, she's rather akin to ISIS or the Taliban destroying ancient monuments and works of art, but at least photos of those destroyed works still exist.

I will say I am hovering on whether or not chris chans horde has been thrown out . It would make sense that someone saw the living situation at home and ultimately a caretaker had to take charge to throw alot of random shit out. I still am not convinced the primary horde regarding chris chans stuff has been tossed yet.

Its really bizarre no weens in this half year half confirmed.

I almost wonder, given how devious Barb has been proven to be, that someone might have to said "autism" at one point, and since that doesn't seem as bad as being a literal retard, so they could pretend Chris was somehow gifted and not just a mong. Remember, we only have Chris's word for the autism diagnoses, and those "Autism Papers" state that it was something Chris had said. And those were only done because of Chris completely losing control, and through the way, had people guiding him, verses something happening and him having to go through it blindly.

Going back to Barb, maybe she had some sort of bragging rights with Bob, seeing as he had spat out a pair of kids that went onto be extremely smart and successful, and out from Barb popped... Chris. She perhaps thought that if she could reverse Munchhausen Syndrome and convince the world, and Chris, and themselves, that no, he was some super special genius, on the Honor Roll, even going so far as to believe it themselves when Chris claimed Nintendo was talking to him about going into business, that it would transform Chris into some semblance of a normal human being. Just given all that he's been exposed to, even someone with autism would pick up on social cues and whatnot, but he just seems like some ID'd kid picking out a costume to wear everyday and thinking that was fine for the world.

Intellectual Disability can come from that, and it might not be as full blown as Greta Thunberg's is

Weird question I suppose, and if you don’t know, you don’t know, but do these secure adult male retard homes allow them to have sexual relationships or visit prostitutes or something?

I take it they are not actual prisoners, and if they are the kinds of tards who can get rapey or inappropriate without a sexual outlet, then that is obviously a concern.

A monthly sunshine bus to a brothel is probably not arranged, but maybe staff discretely supervise them to a madam one at a time?

Or do they just mix in a libido killer into their morning coco pops?
Dude you're in la la land.
When you're locked up in any public facility, jail...the looney bin, etc...when you have blue balls when's the last time they sent the entire prison to a brothel?

No, that's why they engage in sex with other dudes poopy buttholes. Very low bar there from desperation. Chris will be a power bottom and love it I bet and be hiv POS in no time

For someone who allegedly hated gay people he sure was obsessed with rainbows. He also believed that a vaccine made from his own blood would cure homosexuality.

The ultimate irony is that this whole journey, and its possible end point, is the culmination of a lifelong quest to find a "boyfriend free girl."

He was asking about tard homes, not the state hospital, but I'll answer.

If you're in a state hospital while on remand or serving a sentence, obviously no, you're not allowed to.
If you're in civil commitment, you're incapacitated, so having sex with you is technically rape. Any non-insane person who has sex with you is taking a legal risk. If you wind up having sex with another patient, you might get in trouble with your privilege level, but no legal trouble since you're by default NGRI.

In a tard home for people like Chris (post-release), however, you're not incapacitated, just retarded. If you want to have sex you can, but that might violate house rules, and get you kicked out. If you go somewhere else for sex, it's no problem, but you might have to do it in the daytime if there's a curfew in the house rules.

All of this is unimportant though as there's basically zero chance of Chris getting laid using his own charms at this point. There's probably a fat old woman, or unbelievably mentally disturbed woman out there still willing to have sex with Chris, but it's not like he's going to be able to find her on a day trip around whatever town the tard home is in/near -- especially if it's not in a town but is a tard farm instead.

Im not sure if I would agree with that:

- Darger grew up at certain points on a state farm, which may or may not have been abusive, but going by what we know of those institutions at the time, it was very likely
- He was able to hold down at least menial jobs for most of his life
- He did not seem to he as attention-seeking as Chris
- His art, at least in my opinion, is much more competently made

Though I would agree that Sonichu is very culturally significant, and that I hope those drawings aren't simply trashed. I think the concept of eccentric art is much more prevalent in our current time than it was in Dargers, so there's probably a better chance of it being preserved.

I used to use the speed trap example, but found a lot of people misconstrue (smart ass response of well its not posted so I can go whatever I want) it I also don't think it's perfect because technically you know "there is a speed limit" and everyone should know the 25 residential, 35 commercial, etc...
It's not like a town having an extremely low dB ordinance and you getting popped for it because your car is a little louder than normal. That would be a more realistic law to claim ignorance of.
I suppose ngri would be an ignorance defense in some way, although it's ignorance because of the defendants capacity, not so much that it's unreasonable to know the law.
In many ways a true ignorance defense is essentially accusing the legislature of insanity because why would this statute ever be a law in the first place and why isn't it being disseminated publicly.

On the subject of if Chris actually had Autism at all, I think he definitely was diagnosed with it since he's been abusing his handicaped parking permit his entire life. The point of Autistics having the ability to park in the handicapped zones is more for the parents to have less risk of autistic kids spazzing out and running into traffic by having the vehicles closer to wherever they're going to/coming from. Chris obviously can fucking walk across a parking lot but when that permit was applied for years ago, Autism documentation would have been required I would think.

I don't think a caregiver would sift through a hoarder stash unless they absolutely had to. It's possibly biohazardous.

I have to agree that Chris likely has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Barb drank like a fish, in fact she met Bob at a bar, and I fucking guarantee you that she drank while preggers. I've read of FAS people who are stuck in mid childhood mentally, like a 45 year old woman who plays with dolls all day.

Also there is the consideration that Borb was apparently terrified of Chris being sent to boarding school, at least on Barb's part it likely had to do with her raging NPD, so Chris was always mainstreamed in school which was WAY over his head.

Personally I think Chris seems to have a mishmash of symptoms from various tard diagnoses, but I'd have to say that the main ones are moderate intellectual impairment and FAS. (Severe ID is where somebody sits in a wheelchair and drools all day.) I'd say that his IQ is likely well under the threshold for intellectual retardation. (The Murikan IQ scale goes from 50 to 150, and below 75 indicates ID.)

He's been evaluated for the first time since childhood while in the slammer, and it's likely we will never know exactly what the pdocs said due to a Murikan law called HIPAA which outlaws pretty much ALL sharing of patient data unless absolutely necessary among the docs. HIPAA is so strict that tards in a pdoc's waiting room can't talk to each other about their diagnoses. Anybody caught leaking Chris's data would go to prison for quite a long time.

It's possible that Chris has been forbidden from writing letters in part so he doesn't sperg his diagnoses in them, and from there to the Farms. The state of Virginia is obviously trying to keep Chris away from us, thus all the cloak-and-dagger about where he was moved, disposition of the case, etc. HIPAA is a convenient excuse for radiosilence in the part of VA. Honestly, it's not such a bad idea.

There's no such fucking thing. Either you're larping or horrifically incompetent.

Okay nigger, here's a story JUST for you.
Someone else I know. Doctoral level psychology degree about an experience they had as a teacher:

They used to work with adolescents who were slow in the mind in a school setting. There was one girl who was very normal looking if not pretty. She really loved people and was very good at talking and listening, she was just academically nslow. She talked herself into a job as a cashier at a grocery store (this was way back in the day before cyber everything and Online). It took them a long while to figure out this girl legitimately did not know how to count. She inevitably got fired for not understanding money but the fact that she had managed to seem normal enough up until that point basically proves my point.

There's a reason even menial wagie jobs now usually have a small test for maths or social situations which is 1) to ensure normies reading and paying attention and 2) to ensure you actually are not retarded to avoid situations like this.

Tards arent all 4chan greentexts, autists, or catatonic droolers.

I don't disagree with you but you also take this shit way too seriously *yawn*

That part is completely untrue. Patients are free to share all their data with whoever they want. They can put it on the internet. Anyone he tells would be free to share it.

HIPAA only prevents the providers (and anyone else employed in handling the data) from disclosing it.

This also means that if a doctor accidentally drops a patient file on the street and you read it, you are free to tell everyone what you read (though you might be charged for stealing it if you kept it). The doctor, however, would be in big trouble for an accidental HIPAA violation.

I suppose ngri would be an ignorance defense in some way, although it's ignorance because of the defendants capacity, not so much that it's unreasonable to know the law.

Right. One is that no reasonable person has the capacity to know if something is illegal. The other is that you're so mentally incapacitated that it's not possible for *you in particular* to know if something is illegal.

Usually the terminology includes some equivalent of "morally wrong" as another stipulation -- i.e. even if you are too incapacitated to know the law, you must also be too incapacitated to know that the action was also morally wrong. If Chris could show that he genuinely believed that he was "healing" Barb, he might succeed on the "morally wrong" test, but he still was capable of knowing that incest was illegal.

Okay nigger, here's a worthless anecdote for you.
You have no business calling anyone a nigger when you're ignorant of the fact "eq" is a pomo cope to deal with the unpleasant reality of IQ's predictive validity and the accuracy of the five factor model.

Agreeableness and extroversion do not depend on pattern recognition. There is only one form of intelligence and it is general.

This would be the first time I can recall anybody suggesting FAS, but it certainly isn't out of the question.

Hell, five seconds of google searching resulted in this page which has bullet point lists of all the problems expected of people with FAS and with the items on the 'brain' and 'social' issues, we have documented instances that collectively mean Chris hits every single one.

At this point, though, it may be legitimately hard to tell simply because so many conditions relating to mental retardation effectively have the same symptoms and Chris simply could have multiple - I'm sure it isn't an impossibility he has Autism and other shit, too, given so many unusual factors being in play when he was conceived.
