You're dumb. Chris couldn't sell shit to flies. Marketing requires a theory if mind. Chris doesn't understand the thoughts, wants, or needs of anyone else, which is why he raped Barb.
I think you're missing the point, I was trying to make. Chris originally chose marketing when he was at college, as stated here: https://sonichu.com/cwcki/Piedmont_Virginia_Community_College#Chris.27s_academic_life

"Chris began classes in PVCC in September 2000. For reasons unknown, even to Chris, he originally chose Marketing as his major. Bob quickly transferred Chris to the CADD track, probably considering it a more attainable goal for Chris, this being a time before Bob had completely given up on Chris as a functioning adult."

I was suggesting that the college offered and wanted Chris to study that course, for him to build responsibility for himself. He's quite tall and who knew at the time, if he would get into shape or not and let him into the real world. He wouldn't make any of that half-ass mascot he's been sporting. Then his parents switched the course and the college must have been like "okay, then! Nothing to do with us! Up to you and if he messes up, it's nothing to do with us". If he would have completed this marketing course, he would have sold shit to flies.

The wiki on his education even states "for unknown reasons, even to Chris, Chris chose Marketing before working on CADD". My experience in state schools and colleges offering Marketing, sometimes, because you get unbearable people like Chris, who people quietly put aside and then it's the college is has to try to get everyone to get along and send them out, so there's a course like that, gets offers to someone like that to be a bit pushy before fitting them in society. Marketing, if not Business, is a very powerful course, considering MBA's are out there. Those business schools, aren't usually free, they require payment to take them but then somehow state schools offer them for free, in that day of age, so that's what I think. Chris was maybe offered that and he was quick to take it.

My cousin has down syndrome and she works in a factory. My brother has autism and works at Wendy's. If they can contribute in some small way to society then Chris has no excuse
There's a group of tards that comes into my work every week and they are some of my best customers. And these are like some massively tarded tards. Really blows my mind to see an actual tard politely order a coffee or soda but a supposedly functional adult will just yell SPRITE GIVE ME A SPRITE at me and then try to grab a straw out of my apron while I'm carrying two pots of extremely hot coffee in a crowded dining room. Imagine having worse social skills than someone with down's syndrome bad enough that they live in a tard home and have a 24/7 minder.

Chris is just a piece of shit.

Is it possible that, as a ward of the state, Christopher could get state-funded SRS? Particularly if he's ultimately transferred to Arlington or Fairfax County for intensive treatment? I imagine the more populated parts of Virginia have much larger, more powerful hospitals with access to the kind of treatments Christopher needs: bloodletting, voodoo, therapeutic beatings, manual labor, and punitive floggings. Perhaps he will be able to have an Amhole installed on the dime of the Virginia taxpayer !

no he wouldn't have, chris' life was already destroyed before he walked onto that college campus. He was never going to succeed in the real world as a functioning adult on any capacity. His parents assured he would be nothing but a sponge.

It didn't matter what classes he took. Just like getting his degree in CADD lead to him doing absolutely nothing with it, and he even had someone from his church offer him a job in the field. He never applied.

It's not even the fact that he'd be incapable of working and holding down a stable job regardless of how mundane or easy it is, but he's just too fucking lazy and entitled, he has pretty much lived a majority of his life like a NEET. Working in a job would just be so alien to him, that you would basically have to force his hand, or worse chuck him in some sort of gulag to see him break a sweat.

I wish they dump him in a for profit prison of some sort, if Virginia have any.

Bob was very lucky to get him on the the tugboat as its almost set him for life, but it has made him soft, why does he need to bust his ass in any form of work if he's getting guaranteed money from the taxpayer?

cwc had an mlm job to sell knives or whatever and the only person he managed to sell to was himself
I think it's cutco. Funny enough I saw one in a store marketing their wares today. Honestly shows chris' poor skills at marketing. It's literally all set up. He just needs to get out there and find buyers, but actually setting up a stand or buying a decently formal suit is too hard :( *sigh*

What's really golden is how he talks about having social problems, especially when it comes to women, but Chris thinks he has the skill to be a business man or manager.

MLMs are a scam. The only way to make money is to move up the management chain and milk the profits from your underlings. The people at the bottom selling shit don't actually make any appreciable money. You're better off working at McDonald's.

Cutco is well known as one that exploits people a lot. Their knives are shit quality -- they only seem to work well in demonstrations because of their small serrated edges. When they wear down you have to mail them in to be re-edged. You can't sharpen them yourself.

You can sharpen Cutco knives yourself. In fact, Cutco sells sharpeners on their website: https://www.cutco.com/products/product.jsp?item=sharpener

Apparently you can mail your knives in for sharpening (which I guess you would do with certain serrated knives) but they only charge for the return shipping and the amount sounds reasonable.

I don't own any Cutco knives, but I have a friend who does and she tells me that they're really good. Might be an example of "good product, bad business model."

It was sad yet funny to see those videos of Chris making negotiations demands to Nintendo and SEGA to license sonichu and give him a corner office with an assistant whose role it was to scout for a boyfriend-free girl. If this was a skit on SNL, it would be funny as fuck, but Chris legitimately believed sonichu and the way he 'presented' himself would take him straight to the corporate top.

Confirmed

They make great knives like similar MLM, Kirby, makes great vacuum cleaners.

The trick is to buy used so you don’t encounter some desperate asshole in a cheap suit trying to get you to join their sales scam.

Any time I go to a tag sale, flea market, antique store, etc, I keep an eye open for cutco in good shape. Same for Kirby.

t. Never worked for either (just laughed at their schemers), but the product is great.

Chris thinks he has the skill to be a business man or manager.
One of the bigger mysteries is what Chris thought "work" entailed exactly. He begged for an office job and "assistant", which makes me believe he thinks assistants do the work and the guy they work for just....? Plays on the computer all day? Screams "Buy" or "Sell" into a phone?

Just look at his assistant in the comic.

He probably thinks you just sleep and goof around all day like Homer Simpson or Peter Griffin and spend 1 hour rushing it all through in a last minute deadline like on TV. He probably never really asked his parents what their jobs were like or they gave him simplistic answers he'd understand. When Bob told Chris he invented stuff for GE Chris probably filtered it through his TV addled brain to think Bob said "Eureka" and slapped together something on the first go instead of spending months doing calculations, drafts, and tests before he had a working prototype. In Chris's fantasy world he'd spend an hour or two drawing Sonichu then have a bunch of other people do all the work of marketing, printing, and distributing it while he sat on his ass doing nothing thinking as long as something got done that counted as work.

Even in his fantasy world, “work” meant getting someone else to deal with it. In the comics, his mayoral duties mostly fell to his secretary while he went to go sexually harass women in Target.

Then the Merge got outsourced to an aternate reality Chris while Chris Prime sat around on his ass.

I don't think that what Chris and Kacey means by homework. brain work is like think of him and to think for himself.
I agree that Bob didn't do Chris's homework for him. Or certainly not all of it. Unless you believe that Bob considered

This essay is about the second World War, where the US went against Germany and Japan. The war was a very tragic event with guns, insults, and... yuck!

suitable material for a school essay.

We have enough of Chris's homework that it makes it unlikely that Bob did it all. Even the college stuff, if Bob did his coursework he wouldn't have failed a class, and the CADD Chef wouldn't exist.

It's not impossible that some of it was done by his parents, but we have no proof for that. The more I think about it, the more it sounds like "brainwork'" wasn't referring to "homework", Chris can say the word "homework" just fine in other calls and chats, it has to be a CWC-ism for something else, whatever it may be.
