[February 2021 - ????] DSP Tries It: Divinity: Original Sin II

suddenly when phil is winning it's all smiles, talking about how this is going great and it's amazing. he seems to be having a good time. amazing how things change when he's actually winning.
Must be close to time for a whale to come dump their disability-bux on him. He's only ever cheerful when he's got lots of cheerssubsandtips. Even progressing in a difficult game is painful if he's not rolling in cuntribushuns.

"That was the intro, we're done with the intro"

mmm, you're still on tutorial island fat boy...he's begging for tips because it's a 100 hour game and he needs that money, he really does.

Big ups to our boy Phil for finally completing Chapter 1 after 6 main streams.

oh mate, he's not done with chapter 1 yet. not for a fuckin' while.

Watching DSP play this game I can't help but picture him having all the same complaints and problems in DnD, only difference is in DnD you can't save scum. This man couldn't complete even the most basic of adventure, mind you if I DMed for him I'd just "rocks fall, everyone dies" on his ass and call it a day. That way at least when he calls the game bullshit he'll be right.

"dude they all have crazy ass abilities. this guy threw an oil flask at me"

someone tricked him into doing the Judge fight on fort joy.

"DUDE THE BOSS JST DID FOUR ATTACKS. FOUR? HOW IS THAT FAIR. PIECE OF SHIT GAME"

he did Phoenix Dive, which I believe is 1AP, Encourage, which is 1AP, Blitz, which is 2 AP, and Attack, which is 2AP, so that's a total of 6AP, which isn't that absurd, since your default is 4AP and if you skip a turn, the AP carries over to the next turn, which would make 6. so, ya, i can do basic math.

Phil legitimately does not understand how Line of Sight works, he has no idea why a character upstairs behind a stone altar can't shoot someone downstairs, up against the wall.

phil is actually winning most fights he gets into, it's just taking him forever and he's bitching and crying the entire time. only reason he's really winning is it's still a tutorial, once you get to Driftwood there's a lot of times you'll wander into somewhere you don't want to fucking be. First area I found in Driftwood was Mordus and he destroyed me. I had literally 0 chance of winning at that point in time.

i'm real curious to see how he handles the Lady Vengeance fight though.

honestly if i didn't know better i'd say he turned the difficulty level down, but you can't do that mid game.

phil thinks if he aims at a target, and game tells him path is interrupted, and he then adjusts his aim and it works, then the game is full of shit and was wrong the entire time. should've let him hit the first time.

"now sadly i have to waste a resurrection scroll on poor fane here"

?????

how is it a waste? fane's fucking dead. the point of the scroll is to revive dead people? what the fuck.

Has Phillip boi figured if he gets his ranger on a heightened surface = more DSP yet ? His toons also lacks skills thanks to their idjit player to get the job done.

I am also surprised he didn't loot Fort Joy blind yet. The portraits sell for good money. Cutlery and plates sell handsomely too, might have to steal but we know he is a natural.

Oh wait, he is mature beggar.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

EDIT: Immediately we get a begging segment. "Thanks for all your help with the game but... support has been incredibly low, incredibly slow."
More like half way done chapter one rofl. Buckle up. He hates this game, but the tips have been good so it wont go away. We are in for some arm crossing salt later on especially if the posivity (tips) goes down.

I know this has been said a billion times, but it really is amazing how much positive reinforcement he requires to get through anything. It reminds me of when my kid was still very young and going through his "I wanna win!" phase. The way you have to let kids win every now and then in order to keep them interested and participatory. Eventually they grow out of that once they lose enough times to learn it's not the end of the world when it happens, and to get back up and try again.

Not Phil. Fucking easymode facetank through life I guess, and cry like a babybitch at any and all adversity. His parents raised an absolute pussy who is a sore loser and a graceless winner.
