It's noticable with the Octolings for sure:
Skintight leather croptops, hotpants, and leather high-heeled boots, added hip sway (at least for the female Octoling), and the expansion does start with your character nude floating in goo.
(Probably partially brought about by the intense fan reaction to Marina/Iida from the base game.)

I'm going out on a limb here based on your username, but if you can get past ignoring hundreds of invites from brazilians, Fightcade is pretty much made for guys like you. I don't play ST anymore but back around 2011/2012 I was always able to find quality matches, and since it uses GGPO there's a lot of geographical leeway for finding opponents.

As shitty as the app is, discord is pretty much the only real way to network out for that and it's actually pretty good, depending on what game you play. Most FGs have shit matchmaking just because there are maybe 3 people playing ranked on any game that isn't Tekken, MK, or SF5 at a given moment.

Legends of Localization has an article that mentions the awkwardness of translating "kuso".
In actuality, Japanese doesn’t have swearing quite like we do in English and other languages, so this is a bit hard to explain. I’ve touched on it briefly before in my MOTHER 3 analysis so I’ll skip the details for now, but basically くそ (kuso) can run the gamut of “gee wiz” to “darn” to “fuck”, depending entirely on context, the translator’s experience, etc.

and in a similar vein, aggressive scenes in American media lose a lot in translation to Japanese, like these from Grand Theft Auto V.

Octolings that was it with the hip thing I mentioned. I never played the DLC (hell never even finished the main campaign) of the second game and forgot they and Inklings were separate entities.

Way ahead of you on that one. I always hang out in the Super Turbo room. Not too many Brazilians there, it's a mix bag between Americans, Canadians, Brits, Mexicans, and other Euro & Spanish countries with sprinkles of Asians every now and then.

I think that's more because the best way Japanese authors know to demonstrate a character isn't Japanese is to pepper their speech with random English words.
