I don't even see why raiders are so mad about it. No one who hardcore raids is going to use the relics until maybe the last couple of months of the expansion to parse flex. At no other point is the relic BiS.

Raidniggers don't even have to think about this until sometime after August 2023 (when 6.5x series is out) and they still find a reason to bitch about it.

If you look on FFXIV collect, the completion rate for Hildibrand is almost 60%. Ivalice has a completion rate near 90% but that's after Bozja made it mandatory. For more than half the active playerbase, Hildibrand being a requirement is a non-issue.

So why is this even worth trying to stir up shit on twitter over?

I actually thought that the full on raid series with filler quests in Shadowbringers was annoying enough as someone who had done those raids before. Hildi quests are gonna be done in a jiff since all but a couple are just silly cutscenes and a few relocations.

Which I never understood. The majority of relic weapons are ugly or so-so on their own, but the glow effects associated with them are even worse. But I guess they want to stand out a bit more in their painfully average slut glam.

Their humor are not my cup of tea and I dont know if walking around doing errands like a retard to catch up with 4 expansions of insufferable quests would be for me.
At least Bozja let me level up my DPS jobs, and I cant shake the feeling SE is just taking the lazy road.

Hopefulle I'm wrong, but I'd very much like to see another special zone like Eureka and Bozja.

Imagine thinking skipping some cutscenes and talking to NPCs is the same level of commitment as doing a fight or series of fights that takes the average player dozens of hours of getting together to do the fight, even WF take roughly a day to do Savage and Ultimate takes multiple days of constant prog when it is new.

Also most raiders of their caliber don't even care about the relic because they out gear it until the literal end of the expansion unless they're trying to parse run Ultimate I guess (as I know their was some fucky scaling with SB Ultimates if you use the ShB relic). So why do these people even give a fuck at all?

It was a fun story for the sake of the goofy story. Now we're gonna have retards who won't like the story feeling forced to do it, and now we're gonna have to hear them bitch and moan about it.

As someone who is currently slowly chipping away at hildi and skipping cutscenes, it is long, and also very boring, not something I've enjoyed spending my time on, and this was prior to the relic announcement.

At least with the Ivalice thing I felt like I was doing something worthwhile as I was unlocking content (raids + bozja).

I am really curious about the weapon designs though.

I think the relic quest tied to hildi is because island sanctuaries is the new optional zone and didn't have enough recourses to make another eureka/bozja. So I guess they had to tie it to something.

I wouldn't be shocked if after the general eh reception to Bozja and Eureka they figured people don't want these optional large zone things anymore for relics. So they decided to do something else, Bozja especially had some near disasters because retards can't handle doing mechanics in Castrum Lacus Litore and shitter dps make Delebrum take almost an hour because they can't be fucked to use essences.

People just want to fate grind for relics apparently, I have no idea why people want this, but for retards this is the preferable relic quest. The amount of people I've seen who unironically think ARR/HW relics were better then ShB is baffling as someone who did both those quest lines when they were current.

ARR relic is still miserable in its present state. I'll take Bozja over that any day.

It was at least three times worse back the day I can promise you that, especially the atma step was utter aids back in 2013-2014. That part where you had to run Hard modes? Yeah no unsync, and the rate was much worse too. Have fun fucko.

Yet people unironically prefer it over Bozja because you can turn your brain off, while Bozja requires at least 10% of your brain because mechanics exist and you need to do some really basic RPG item management.
