I don’t touch MMOs at all, but I haven’t seen any game other than this or the fighting game “community” pump out imminent 41%s with this level of efficiency. It’s fucking sad.

I'd argue it is a few factors.

1) MMOs in general are breeding grounds for autism, largely because they tend to be massive timesinks. The whole draenei horsecock shit in World of Warcraft that's become an unfortunate meme, for example. FFXIV is an MMO, so that's one point.

2) Unlike other MMOs, it has a lower overall entry level when it comes to skills/learning. Not only that, being a shitter is generally celebrated. So you have the beginnings of a hug box where you get asspatted no matter what you do. What do troons love? Getting asspats for nothing.

3) It's a weeb-inspired MMO. There is a lot of degeneracy with anime/weeb shit (lolis, hentai, etc.) that tends to Venn Diagram into a perfect circle with troons so they'll be naturally drawn to this game.

4) It is also an MMO where you can largely mod a lot of shit. Most MMOs tend to frown upon graphical modding, etc. because it can lead to exploits or unfair advantages. So if you want to be your 'real and true' self with tits the size of Patrick Tomlinson's (fat) ass, and whatever other modbeast shit, XIV is the game for you.

It's an unfortunate confluence of a number of factors.

E: I'd also toss in the fact that there's player housing, so all the 800 lb cat ladies who are Sims addicts can scratch their itch in this game, too, while helping to ferment the sort of lame-ass drama that is rife with troons and those in their circles. Plus, degen behavior being encouraged/propagated with RP venues.

So he decided on a whim that he'd join the alphabet cult because he really wanted to be a part of the "community". Because to these people, it's trendy to pretend to be trans because they would rather join a hugbox of mental illness and other people pretending to be trans than go through the real work to deal with their issues like an average person. Running away and moonlighting as some made up character in your head whilst gaslighting yourself is a lot easier than facing the fact that you were molested at a young age or that mommy and daddy beat you a little too hard sometimes or didn't love you as much as you thought they should've.

Even watching this video for more than 1 minute felt nauseating because this fucker overabuses angle shots for 'le smug emotes' and that obvious bouncy transition effect too.

I don't touch fighting games at all myself so I guess I should be thankful I'm spared of that insanity but to answer from my perspective regarding this game, I blame Square Enix's modjannies for enabling this globohomo-community.

Imagine if you're a supposed-young teenager (the game's advertised target audience) looking to dip into the MMO genre and pick up this game, that if you pick Limsa Lominsa out of the three area's as your starting point you're immediately exposed to all the degeneracy on full display around the main aetheryte and are fresh bait for any vile groomers looking to bait you into joining the ERP scene and their in-game homes which doesn't take long to reach that too.

It's one of the main reasons why I stopped playing because burnout aside I also can't stomach this toxic positivity-community that you can't call out dumb retards for being shit at the game or overly obnoxious with their greeting macro's when you play instanced content lest you risk being reprimanded by the corrupt jannies who will suspend you for any no-no words but will gladly turn a blind eye to all the degeneracy going on because it's what brings in the cash for them to waste on other dumb projects rather than properly investing back into this mess.

I look up FF14 soundtracks and keep up with the latest dungeons and raids, so youtube thinks I'm interested in FF14 content creators and keeps recommending me this video.



And I somehow knew from the ugly, smug (smugly) lala smirk that this video was probably annoying and not very funny. I just knew the creator of the video was at risk of trooning out as well. It's this weird thing about weeb culture. There is an overfocus on things anime girls do, and one of those is looking at pictures of smug anime girls, marveling at how smug she looks.
