Even female Au Ra are not safe from the troonery, unfortunately.
Plenty of "MY LIZARD GIRL ACKSHUALLY HAS A GIANT DICK." and "THIS IS ACTUALLY A SMOL MALE FEMBOY AU RA" out there.
I love them from an aesthetic standpoint but they're every bit as prone to exceptional players as the rest and I hate it.

I play lalafell and I can tell you, it ain't the lalafells usually. They might be pedophiles and/or incredibly autistic with their stupid race complex, but most of the troons I've seen ain't lalafells.
Ain't the bara furries either. Those tend to just be gay people.
The usual suspects are female Miqote and sometimes female Au Ra. Troons unironically project themselves onto their characters and believe they're as perfect and nice as their characters. That couldn't be further from the truth. They also tend to be very deep into anime.
Like Rich Evans Apologist says, this game attracts people with arrested development like moths to a flame. It is in essence the become the gf meme. They're awkward incels that have no luck with women, and other players groom them into announcing their new gender on social media or worst, actually getting on medication to transition even though they'll never pass.
A common joke on Aether is that if you raided and played Bard, you needed to cut your dick off, because that's what all the troons played.
I expected you to play a miqote or hyur. She's cute. Although she has heterochromia. That is almost always a tell for degeneracy.

Oh definitely, but considering that female au ras are a very small part of the playerbase, i'd say the chances of finding a degenerate one are significantly lower than catboys or catgirls.
I fantasia a bit too much, always bouncing between catgirl and au ra, but I personally prefer the snek girls because of their eyes, and because miqote's have such a creepy smile.

I'd say they're just as prevalent from my experience, but I've also seen plenty of shit in all the years I've played this game and I know my own experiences aren't gonna totally mesh with what other players on average maybe tend to experience.

I can't play as auri girls. They are too cutsey and hime-sama for my tastes. I hate miqotes too but if I had to choose the lesser of two evils, I'd side with cats. But only the keepers. Those are my GORLS.

I believe their models are also slightly different in that they have fangs and have larger ears and longer tails than seekers. They can also wear clasps, similar to Duskwight.

Male Au'ra and Roe are attractive AF. Too bad they're all dressed in meme glamours (Roe) or so rare they may as well not exist (Au'ra). I'm so tired of seeing catboys and dragon girls all over the damn place.
Now for a bit of spergery:
I have to ask: Do max-sized Roe/Au'ra/Hroth clip through tables and stuff? I just want to know if it's as amusing/frustrating as the opposite situation:
It's frustrating when you're decorating your house and realize you have to get certain furniture or arrange it in a really specific way in order for it to not look retarded when you interact with it. That's not my house in the screenshot, but I imagine that any other character that goes into my house, including other lalafell (since mine is the minimum size), are going to look stupid/clip like a motherfucker.
But then there's silly stuff that makes you laugh. Like the realization that you're only as tall as a figurine after it's been implied you're killing gods all on your own (up to a certain point):
Or the fact that in any cutscene where you're using the regular /sit emote, you know that there's a booster seat right off camera:
And the fact that, no matter how hard the game tries, it just CAN NOT make you look intimidating:
Though I imagine that other races have no problem with that last one. Heck, with male Au'ra it probably has more of a problem making them NOT look pissed off and ready to murder everything in sight.

I always wondered how scenes like these played out when using Lalafell or Roegadyn player models.
It also makes me wonder how ridiculous the scene where the WoL will be piloting in a mech in the upcoming patch will look when played as either or.
