You spend a third of the Doma sections farting around in Mongolia to get some guys who fly around and bang on a few flying drones. The 'plan' goes off without a hitch, and it becomes really really poorly presented as to why you would need the assistance of the dragon-people, literal chinese peasants, and the navy. Despite fearing what might happen if it became apparent that the area's gamers were rising up, the Empire offers absolutely no actual pushback and Zenos abandons the field because he's just such a cool shounen villain guiys. Hien is mister white bread wheatabix himself, and Yugiri's character gets forgotten about because her voice actor got merked.
Doma isn't offensive, but it isn't anywhere near the realm of good. Visually, it looks cool - and the music is catchy. Yotsuyu is one of the worst villains I can imagine in how she's presented, though - she never meaningfully pushes back against you, she never does anything really of her own accord (she's always coerced by someone else to do absolutely anything), and the ONE thing in the main story that could have made the player hate her gets asspulled immediately. You finish the castle and the game goes 'haha yep, those characters aren't dead!' Stupid. In the post-game, she -still- does nothing of her own accord and all other characters, through their scheming or their stupidity, line everything up for her. How am I supposed to give a shit about someone who stands still and does nothing of her own intent?

Her fight's pretty cool, though. Honestly, most of the SB trials and raids were real fun.
She's fucking boring and inconsistent. They can't decide if she's supposed to be fiery and uppity and brash, like when she interacts with Matoya, or if people are supposed to regard her as a quiet and methodological inferior elf-man. Which would be fine, if they stopped pretending to kill her and expecting the audience to care.
Honestly, best girl is Alphinaud.

I still have conflicting feelings about the Steppes because, on the one hand, I love the location, its aesthetics, and its musical themes by themselves. On the other, the Xaela just really aren't that interesting to deal with.
There was that initial "Wow, this is really neat!" factor that came into play from finally being able to see the Xaela homelands and all the stuff you might've read about them in the first lore book firsthand, but once that wore off, for me, it was pretty much just "I actually don't care about these people whatsoever and Magnai only exists to be an annoying cunt because MUH DAWN FATHER."

I care cause every time they do that i get to see her naked. She behaves like a cat, slow and methodical but bratty and catty. I liked when she said that dragon-mongolian had a small dick. I play a red mage so i headcanon that Alisaie is my apprentice. Alphinaud is basically my butler and also a dumbass. Thancred sucks. Moenbryda is dead press S to spit. Everyone else is cool i guess.
Yotsuyu did nothing wrong. Nidhogg did nothing wrong. Emet Selch did nothing wrong.
Gaius van Baelsar lectured me about how might makes right and then I kicked his ass.

Look up the lore tidbits about Azeyma and Menphina.
Now, realize that the Xaela developed their own, cultural spin on the mythos. That's about what it boils down to.
Also, some Xaela tribe fucks horses. That's actually canon. Now ask yourself if you're really inclined to give a shit about some literal horsefuckers.

You're in Coerthas, there's plenty of cliffs to fling yourself off of in the nearby vicinity.
Alternatively, you could also take a trip to the Churning Mists if you'd like to enjoy an even more scenic (and longer) fall.

In their defense it's a pretty poorly implemented mechanic. Because you have to maintain DPS uptime, position your character where they won't be hit, and on top of that they throw you a mechanic where you have to either solve a math problem in their head or just make random guesses because they don't really have the time to think about it. So, I don't really blame them that much.

Stop staring at sexy au ras in your party.
You just need to keep practicing.
It's an alliance raid. Just do the mechanic. The game tells you what your health is going to be before the mechanic happens. You don't "have to" maintain DPS uptime. The boss does literally nothing else during the mechanic and gives you ample time to do it properly.

To be fair, I also went in like literally the second I hit 80 on Samurai. I wanted to test my weeb levels. Doesn't really matter anyway though since I got the mount, the barding and all the weapons I need already. So I have absolutely no need or reason to ever touch SoS EX again lol.
