With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I was with you until you called Fishtank a success. This was a terrible idea from a budget, production, planning & execution perspective. I barely have to explain why since one of the contestants is leaving despite being given a day of recess. More of these fragile zoomers will follow. I expect Sam will be left with a big hole in his wallet & he'll vent impotently at his subscribers.
 
I think this is a result of Sam kicking out Simmons the way he did. Mauro realized these are all strangers, people are digging up online shit and that lots of people are watching this. And that Sam is nuts

Aw fuck, they're taking down the feeds? I guess they're going to try to convince Mauro to stay

Simmons got yelled at, big whoop. They all immediately were talking shit about him and laughing making fun of him in the kitchen after coming out of the basement. Josie was pumping up a ball and was skipping and giggling ready to stim. I am just saying losing 12 hours of content so we can get the remaining days makes complete sense to me, we already lost two fish and simmering down is probably not a bad idea on day nine of forty two.
I'd rather lose 12 hours of time so we can get the rest, and anyone else whining about that just sounds like a fag to me.

Letty had the right idea, their dirty laundry is going to be aired just for being on the show. Stick around to at least get something out of it. He's not exciting enough to give much of a shit about which works in his favor on that front.

One of the funny takeaways of this whole thing is it does prove Sam is unhinged. He’s willing to hurt people for the sake of comedy. There’s always been the question
of where the character ends and the person begins. That line seems thinner than ever.

It's post simmons leaving gossip time. This is primo content being missed. The cameras being off didn't keep Mauro from leaving and the other fish likely don't care that much as long as they arent being abused by TTS.

So Surflax Tito and Andwew Tayte have one slapfight and that's nothing, but Sam kicks the local sex pest out and that's grounds for leaving. RIP in piss bozo, your 14 hour sleepcam will not be missed.

Mauro didn't really fit into the tank, he's not a bad guy by any stretch of the imagination, he just didn't really "belong" properly. I think his autism is rather subdued, the kids quiet and very self reserved, likes to stay in his lane and mind his business. It's only now that he realizes where the fuck he's ended up, and doesn't want to his family or friends involved in this shit either. It's a smart but sad move from him, but now they're effectively 3 fishes down and there's still 4 weeks to go. They need to bring in a new fish ASAP tbh.

edit note: I say 3 because damniel is a plant and really shouldn't be there but it wouldn't be a MDE production without some absolute bullshit
