I think the show only works because its carried by Sam yet the success went to Jets head anyway.

But there's lines you don't cross when you fuck with people, where it changes from something good natured and well intentioned, to something subversive and evil. You wouldn't fuck your friends wife as a way to fuck with him, for example. It's pretty straight forward.

If it was Burt's family there wouldn't be vagueness like "believes he is schizophrenic," they would have listed his actual conditions including autism. IIRC (also mentioned in chat, by @Punished Borzoi i think) Alex said in one of his lives tonight that he filed a police report against the fishtank house. I think Alex called the police to do that wellfare check.

I mean in the context of what he was pointing out, I think it is more about none of them stepping in to tell Frank to take a hike for an hour or two. Although Jet was actively participating when Frank was done by calming down Jeff... by giving him more alcohol and cigarettes without a lighter and gaslighting him more and more
