Five Nights at Freddy's fandom

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I'm still wondering where anyone would wear those FNAF shirts to in polite society? Now fandoms like Mario or Zelda are relatively mainstream, and even then clothing featuring those fans aren't super commonly worn outside of nerdy conventions. FNAF has only been around for a year and its fandom I think is mainly found on the internet. In my experience, the only FNAF fans I've met IRL were at an anime convention.

Otherwise expect regular people seeing shirts with furry animatronics or purple men on them and not knowing what the hell they are or what they mean. They might even think it's a weird artsy shirt from Threadless or something. That's probably for the better.
If you're the kind of person to buy a FNAF shirt, I doubt you care (or are capable of recognizing, probably more likely) what society thinks of you. It's kind of saying that you've given up.

In the mainstream peeps don't know about 5 Nights at Freddy's, they would probably look at you like someone wearing a Chuck E' Cheese shirt. Hell, there are some people who don't know about the bronies for that matter and they've been around for years. Most people have lives outside of the internet, while on the internet you trip over this shit.

I almost wish the Tumblr subforum was around for the Rebornica shitstorm that occurred.

They were considered the one who came up with the most popular Tumblr head canon of Vincent as the Purple guy along with most of the security guards.

In general their posts got thousands of notes and they eventually ragequit the FNAF fandom because people were taking shit too seriously. However now they're working on some comic that literally has their portrayal of Purple Guy or "Vincent" as their protagonist.

They also identify as Deoxys and caused someone to commit suicide but that's for another thread.
But overall Rebornica is the source of most bullshit of humanizing killer animatronics and romanticizing Purple Guy. Oh and shipping him with Phone Guy. Seriously.
I have seen her stuff get posted on Facebook before but I haven't seen any of the drama.

Should I be surprised she has drama?

The Hot Topic shirt featuring the four animatronics already sold out within two days of being on sale. Not quite sure what this means...
The shirts on Sanshee are so much better and technically have the brand rights from Scott but I'm not sure. But 13 year olds and Hot Topic go hand and hand.

Naw. An amateur artist who pushes their gender alongside a rabid fanbase on Tumblr? It's prime drama pool.

I thought they were still made by Sanshee, HT just had the rights to resell them similar to how WeLoveFine did it with all their MLP stuff.

I kind of want the Foxy jolly roger one on Sanshee. It's not super blatant and it could pass as like a punk band mascot or something.

I bought both of the ones from Hot Topic...pretty sure I'm the former.

Edit: Walked right into those powerlevel ratings. Come on, it's just a guilty pleasure...

Wait...they're making a movie of this garbage?!

Edit:
The artist who made this says it was a family picture.

Edit: Why am I getting rated late, was this picture posted already? I don't really follow this thread closely so if it was my bad.

Eh, it's waaay better for all the mysteries not to be solved, in my opinion. If fans are spoon-fed all the answers of mysteries of a work, then that work loses its mystique and people will stop caring/headcanoning about it. Let those sperging 14 year olds use their critical thinking "skills" in making up headcanons and crackpot theories for FNAF. It'll be good for them.

I can agree with that sentiment. Thinking about things from different angles can be healthy, but as a video I posted sometime ago said, theories about games can be dangerous for thoughts if there's people online taking them as undeniable facts. Kids are more likely to do that than adults, and the FN@F fandom is full of snotty kids so if we put two and two together, it's a recipe for a huge flame war over who's right, which by reinforcing certain thoughts is not healthy for open mindedness.

I dunno, I kinda liked Five Nights at Fuckboys....

I refer to people who make me mad as enragement child.

I enjoyed Fuckboys as well, I just can't stand all the memes that kids spout all the time. Can't go anywhere without teens having 350+ comment strings rping the characters.

For a second I thought we had a new word filter.

Who in there right minds would get their one-year-old a FNAF cake, I feel bad for the poor child, but at least it's not horrifying...

Admittedly this one's pretty boss, but I wonder how much this thing cost.

These poor children :c

I don't understand why kids so young like this shit.

Shouldn't kids in preschool be a fan of Dora the Explorer or something, and not FNAF? At least that franchise is educational, teaching Spanish and shit. It even has a fox in it like FNAF does!

EDIT: Wait...FNAF is educational. The overarching lesson? Don't follow strangers to isolated places, especially at Chuck E. Cheese's. Because then they will kill you by shoving you into an animatronic suit, and then you will be a ghost haunting the scary animatronic suit forever. The end.
