Buried among all of the other off-track drama is the news that Hamilton has apparently ceded ground in his battle to wear a nose ring that can only be removed by surgical procedure, so that he can focus on more important areas of the sport.
A cynic - one of my general height, weight and appearance - might go so far as to say that the storm in a teacup racism scandal, that threw one of the all-time F1 greats under the wheels of the safety car, was artificially generated to allow the cretinous Hamilton a magnanimous exit from the gaping hole he had dug for himself. I hope I am wrong, however, I suspect there may be a kernel of truth in this.

As for the person who saw Nelson’s interview last year and decided to raise awareness about it now, my two theories is 1) right before the British GP to drum up sympathy points for Lewis, and 2) was waiting for some Red Bull scandal relating to racism to put pressure on Max.

The F1 subreddit has been melting down over the past 12hrs over Verstappen getting booed yesterday as it’s not Le Classy.
When did this ‘booing in sports’ discourse start and how can we stop it? I remember various things getting booed in the 2000s/2010s and no one giving a shit, can we go back to those days?

Sometime over the past two years where booing BLM take a knee or even worse black people was happening. I hope the ones clutching pearls are doing it to wind people up, as the usual suspects were griping about it last year when the orange army booed sir loose arsehole at zanvort.

Kind of funny how they all said "Mercedes is closer" and then Verstappen goes "Just doing a lap lol" and puts the usual half a second gap between Red Bull and Mercedes.
Also it seems as if Mercedes hasn't cured their bouncing yet if FP3 is any indication. That doesn't sound good as of the next Grand Prix the bouncing MUST be within a limit lest you get penalized

Just a couple quick randoms before qualifying gets under way.
Re: Hill, I am pretty sure one of his kids is disabled in some way. Not sure if its Downs, ASD but its something like that. He does a lot of charity work for The Halow Project which I believe is related to retarded kids. Perhaps that is part of the reason for the way he is as I am sure it is hard to have a child like that and maybe he has had to deal with his kid getting hate or something.
I didn't see anyone mention Lando and his comments about getting death threats and that there are sites dedicated to making fun of or harassing his GF. I wonder what the breakdown of the people involved are?. 75% women, 20% fags, 5% trannies? Either way, pretty fucking sad that is all happening just because he has a female in his life.
Merc...they look a bit better. I will be surprised if they are neck and neck with RB/Fer this weekend, but they do look improved after 3 FP sessions.
On the jewelry issue, there was a tweet from one of the pundits that said Lewis had the nose stud on Friday morning, but took it out for FP1. Ummm, I thought it needed surgery to be removed? I suppose its possible he got surgery prior in anticipation he wasn't going to win this fight and started wearing a removable one. But I'd like to see someone ask his that question to clarify if he lied about needing surgery.

Now on to try and figure out who to pick in the fantasy game. I got to use my Megas this race or next I think but a bit scared to pull trigger this week on Max. Tough decisions....

There was an article on rF1 about the Lando death threats, though the story didn't stick around because it happened at the same time as Hamilton-Piquet plus he's white. In terms of insane stan fanbase Lando probably has the worst after Max and Lewis so it doesn't surprise me that they freaked out about him having a girlfriend. Being a pretty boy is great for marketing to insane zoomer girls but once you're off the market their psycho comes out.

Through my job I came across a family who named their child Zeppelin! I can see a pet being named after a character or personality etc, but your kid?

Just read that the technical head of Mercedes said that
1. If the FIa regulations regharding bouncing would have been set at Baku they would have been over the planned values
2. They think of going away from their small sidepod concept and that they are anaylizing the Red Bull solution (among others) I doubt it will happen this year but it goes to show that their concept only seem to work when they can set their car low.
And it's raining already. Will we get a new red flag record?

Seemed like a good start for Haas, but it feels like the car's just letting them down at this stage, sadly.
