This is a cap of todays home page. There was a time when the traffic was so heavy Mano Singham wouldn't have appeared (in fact, I didnt know he was blogging there for years) now he's the most prolific blogger, followed closely By PeeZus. The home page will look pretty much like that for a week.

Of the other bloggers, there are a few interesting writers but they have more interesting/lucrative things to do so it unusual to see anything month on month. Spunk Monkey Carrier occasionally announces a speaking engagement or a new online scam/course. Greta Christina gave PZ a Christmas present of recycling her old blog posts, which funnily enough was exactly the same Christmas present she gave him last year. Dana Hunter/en tequila es verdad has been posting more lately but is desperately asking he readership if there are any topics they would like her to write on.

I get the feeling PZ Myers has been working the back channel trying to get people to cough up posts. A few have been trying to help for old time sake, but most have said "meh".

It's pretty typical of Freethought Blogs to capitalize on the deaths of famous people by calling them abusers and whatnot. Given just how their pageviews are in the toilet, they're doing everything they can to keep themselves from becoming irrelevant. Speaking of which, make sure to archive any and all links to Freethought Blogs. I don't want to give them any pageviews or ad revenue.

I'm honestly torn in this. Pretty much every rocker aside from Charlie Watt and Johnny Rotten banged at least one groupie between the age of 13 and 15. It was horrible and should never happen again, but most of those encounters were still willing on the part of the girls, fucked up as they were.

They were still statutory rape and still awful even at the time, but I still wouldn't compare a lot of these encounters to what Roman Polanski or John Phillips were doing at the time.

I'm inclined to look back and consider it in historical context. It doesn't mean it's right, but it doesn't mean to apply modern standards to historical events. Were this girl 8 years old then I'd have a very different view on this. Society changes a shit load in a fairly short period of time. Segregation remained an issue in to the 60s, and it was only in 2003 it became legal to fuck someone up the arse in the UK.

The 70s were fucked up, no doubt. I don't see a problem with talking about it, and the article is actually not bad by FTB standards. By the standards of today it would be considered child abuse, and does the historical argument really change that? I don't know, and I don't think the author really knows, and it's unusual to see genuine nuance on that site.

Ive checked the link and the website is just a holding message , but if it's true all the interesting bloggers are leaving FTB.

I suspect that this might have something to do with Ophelia Benson. There was very nearly a slap fight over her status as a TERF and I'm wondering if Myers banned discussion.

I think they actually started the hate rolling after R Dawkins refused to share a platform with Becky Watson years ago.

He is specifically asking for "godless Social Justice Warriors", his choice of capitalization including not to capitalize "godless" as that is now an afterthought on Freethought blogs.

Anyway expect the new bloggers to be unemployed ebeggers as many of the guest posters have been, each with a complex gender/sexuality unrecognized by people who have spent years studying this shit, and an urge to over share the personality disorder that stops them getting a grown up job (which in every case will be reducible to internet addiction).

I give it six months before PZ completely looses control of his own network , as Myers is going to allow his own commentariat access to FTB back channels ...Doxapalloosa baby!
