The reason cookie dough packages tell you not to eat the stuff raw isn't just because of the raw eggs. It's also because of the raw flour used to make it can contain pathogens like E.coli.

This extends to all flours, and any prepackage mixes that contain them so even things like raw cake, and pancake batter pose a risk. This means that even if you don't use eggs, there's a still chance you could get sick by eating the stuff.
Not just in goods like that, e.coli can healthy grow in a softserve machine but even if you are careful you can still get it. If you suck you fingers after wiping your ass you might still get the coli. It's weird how that works.

Aaand hepatitis, that can be gotten from places and products that will surprise you(spoiler: it's probably china and chinese goods. in way that will surprise you)!

The female Spotted Hyena mates and gives birth through its clitoris; it has no vaginal opening as such. In this species, the elongation of the shaft of the penis/clitoris appears to be hormone-independent.

Only two scenes in the nightmare before Christmas were filmed at "normal" camera speed, aka not frame by frame stop motion. The opening shot up till when the door to Halloween town opens, and one quick shot of oogie boogie's bugs falling into the cauldron.

The reason why Ian Smith's face looks a little weird is that during his service as an RAF pilot in World War 2, his plane crashed in Egypt due to throttle malfunction after takeoff, the crash left him with facial disfigurements, a broken jaw, leg, and shoulder but doctors managed to fix his face with skin graphs and plastic surgery.

The Japanese spider crab has the longest leg length proportional to its body size of all arthropods (which includes actual spiders and the entire insect family). It's also the most horrifying of all arthropods.
That last part is totally subjective. Those things look like they'd go great with garlic butter and cheddar biscuits.

Buffalo wings are delicious, you'd still be horrified if a live buffalo tried to run you down.

That's cool and all but I would still take my chances with the crab. It looks like I could overpower it and have a delicious seafood feast.

During the war of 1812, The US invaded Canada in the hopes of claiming it from the French. The campaign failed, and the war of 1812 remains the one time in history the US has formally been at war with Canada. (barring a few insurrections by various groups ranging from Irish nationalists in the 1870s to Native American uprisings in the 1890s)

The part I remember is the Yanks thought the Canucks would be tired of British rule and that winning the war would be "a mere matter of marching".

The British counterattacked and burned down the White House for good measure.

The Red River Rebellion in Manitoba was an important event in Canadian Confederacy, because it was the first time the Canadian Military was able to address a national security issue without Britian's help.

Then a huge-ass storm happened, possibly even a hurricane, and pretty much forced the Brits to leave. While doing so, the general had a conversation with a woman that basically went like this:

"Holy shit! Is the apocalypse all always fucking happening here?"

"Nah, just when we need to kick out invaders."

"Well, it looks like it's doing our job for us, anyway. Bye!"

you can distinguish between male and female moths by their antennae. if they're thin, it's a girl moth, but if they're fluffy, it's a boy moth. same rule applies to mosquitoes, too. the fluffiness is so the lads have more surface area to pick up potential pheromones being released into the air.

With this, you can also tell a female mosquito apart as they're the only ones that bite and suck blood.

Although it's well known that the original Michael Myers mask from Halloween is based on the visage of William Shatner, The mask was made using a cast of Shatner's face made during production of the the film The Devil's Rain and not the original Star Trek series.

Humans are the ultimate omnivores and there is no creature out there where some human's first thought was not "I bet I could eat that thing." They're so huge I bet even the meat in those skinny legs would be impressive.

In Sweden when they switched over to digital they decided to make teletext with the same exact graphics and look digital too! Meaning that in Sweden teletext still exsists even if most channels shutdown their teletext some are still being updated! Like svt updates the news on their teletext every day so yeah

and even then the female mosquito only seeks out blood after she's mated in order to nourish the eggs. if she hasn't mated, she just eats nectar like the males do.

as a quick aside, mosquitoes do more pollination work than you'd expect. unfortunately the little fuckers are actually important to the ecosystem.
