1 - private owned shit, we reserve the right to censor you for anything if we deem it to be problematic to a group we believe it holds sway over us

Removing pedo shit from games is probably a good thing, even if it is literally censorship.

The two issues are:

- More than pedophilia is being censored in western localizations: as shown with many examples in this thread, things like traditional interpretations of gender roles and people being addressed as male/female are being censored by ideologues.

- The developers that put pedo shit in their games never seem to face criticism.
Japanese culture is seriously fucked with how normalized sexualizing children is in their media: I can't think of a popular game series/cartoon series that I've played/watched that hasn't had it (even if it is censored for international release). I was watching a Did You Know Gaming video on the Pokemon franchise recently and the reason why Ash's female travel companion has changed so many times (Misty to May and so on) is because the show's writers want to keep the male audience interested by having new female characters for them to perve on. All those characters are underaged girls, it's fucking weird that the adult staff writing a kids' show think like this.

If the Game Banana admin wants to take a moral stance on this issue why aren't they banning all mods for the game and why are they dancing around the issue that it was the Japanese that put that shit in there in the first place - call out the Japs on their bullshit.

They can't. Every time they (lefties) tried it came back to bite them.

There are two main reasons.
1. Japan has lower rates of sex crimes than the west.
2. The left wants to groom children.

They can't appeal to facts or logic because of point 1. People (usually those on the right) claim that Japan is rife with sexual predation that is never talked about or reported, but can't back it up. Leaving them with nothing but "I don't like this".

Which in turn leaves only the arguments of taste, morality or decency, which the left can't use because of drag queen story hour, "trans the kids", pride parades, LGBT kids shows, and other shit that undercuts their own ideology.

Except there is literally nothing of "pedo" from Anna's S support, it's just a kid having a crush for the Divine Dragon (the MC who can be either male or female) who is relatively young too. Both of them agree that it's too soon to be lovers in the original script, so it's not even a real romance option.

I would have deep concerns for anyone who honestly believes this is an issue, let alone the difficulty to distinct fiction and reality in the first place. But as usual, it's trannies and other retards who don't play the game pushing this narrative.

Well you see, this is actually a groomer plot the entire time because the very good person who've been playing for the last 50+ hours actually now in this exact scene (and Jean's) actually wants to fuck kids you disgusting degenerate.

I mean, in the English version Anna and Ryuuru/Alear pretty much give their gifts anyway (which is specifically a one of a kind ring made for someone special btw) and the only thing they really do differently is call them "partners" on the battlefield like they're on the same sports team. Because they have such good teamwork don'tcha know. So honestly Ryuuru/Alear could just be playing a longer game anyway and be slowly getting into Anna's loli panties anyway by feign their gift as something else to get closer until Anna can't escape.

So really depending on how much you want to imply unsaid intent and presume the worst, nothing has really changed at all and the JP one at minimum goes "Let's wait till you're older to talk about lovey dovey stuff for real okay?" to give some kind of plausible deniability. While the EN one if you want to be as cynical and pessimistic as possible like with the JP script Ryuuru/Alear gives their super special ring that was passed down to them to be given to someone important just to deceive a minor into their bedroom any moment now.

Alear can also pair up with his/her biological dragon (younger) sister, Veyle.

I am flabbergasted a country like Japan, or mine, is able to treat fictional characters as fiction anyway, while America (and other anglo countries like Australia) seemingly struggle to comprehend a concept this simple. Might as well ban most japanese games (such as Persona, Dragon Quest, Xenoblade, Legend of Heroes, etc.) from the english market and even classic literature such as Romeo & Juliet.

Yeah, so, Nintendo of America's stance is that grooming is perfectly okay. Because Alear can be romanced by adults despite being underaged themselves, but can't date people within their age bracket -- not exclusively citing Anna, but others actually closer to Alear's age. Then again, this makes sense given the kinds of people Nintendo of America hires... and they didn't even fire her for the CP defense shit, just that she was moonlighting.
