My death predictions:

Theon - It's fitting that he returns to Winterfell and dies there. It's a pretty logical conclusion to his story arc.
Jorah - It also makes sense for Jorah to die now that he's returned to the North. He'll probably die saving Lyanna Mormont.
Varys - Not sure there is much else for his character to do at this point.
Grey Worm - Sorry, dude. We all know you're not going to get to retire to a beach.
Edd - Their watch has ended.
Tormund - Going to die in the blaze of glory.
Beric - Dead for good.
Davos - Little girl who looks like Shireen is going to turn into a zombie and eat him.

Wouldn't be surprised if Bran pulls an Obi-Wan Kenobi and wargs into godswood.net just before the Night King kills him or something. I also don't think Sam is going to be around much longer. Might not be the next episode, but I think he'll think he'll be the next major character to bite the dust.

quick someone knight me so that I might wield the flaming sword

Terrible episode. A lot of talking, but few good character moments. Everybody was the same combination of weepy and introspective. Contrast that to the Blackwater where you had everybody dealing with the impending battle differently.

Also, lol, at stuffing people in the crypts. Send them south to Greywater Watch where they'll be safe, you imbeciles.

I was on the verge of tears with the Jaime and Brienne scene.

I didn't quite understand the point of it. Brienne was already a Kingsguard under Renly, had bestowed upon her a Valyrian steel sword and sent on a knightly errand by Jaime, and was given a squire. The only thing she lacked was the title, and we were given no indication at all throughout the series that the title was important to her or to anyone.

edit: I guess I should add that Brienne has spent the last few years serving a northern lord. Northern lords don't generally knight people (its a practice tied to the faith of the seven), so even if she wanted to be a knight, she wasn't serving anybody who would see knighthood as an honor to bestow on people.

Oh they're well aware. They're only pretending to outraged because it wasn't George who wrote it.
At least he would have written a better dialogue.
Or maybe Maisie is such a terrible actress that her delivery is awful.

All the female actors are pretty bad except maybe brienne and cercei.

Big fucking hmmm on that one. GGRRMM was a TV producer long before he started these books and I've often wondered whether this is really "a tv show based on a book" or something more elaborate, like a cross-media strategy disguised as a tv show based on a book by a guy who's only pretending to be too lazy to write an ending. The fact that everyone refers to the "showrunners" as D&D makes me wonder how much of that is just... roleplaying.

The reality is that all of these booktards and exceptional critics are all smarter than they think they are. Still to this day they dispute that Stannis will burn Shireen and ultimately fail because of his mediocrity, ambition and willingness to be seduced by a foreign god. Even though George basically said that, "yes, it happens in the books." they're still raging over it.

At least he would have written a better dialogue.

The show would definitely be better if George had finished books. But I think that the main problem is that the show is very expensive and also very successful which means that it gets watered down for mass appeal, there are plenty of book only characters and plotlines that were scrapped entirely because of screen time. You can see that the showrunners have listened to feedback and realised that since nobody gives a fuck about the Iron Islands the Kingsmoot in Season 6, Episode 5 and the rescue of Yara scenes were incredibly short, undeveloped and cheap. I think this is kind of sad and flies in the face of Georges philosophy where you can't just give the audience what they think they want as it will never be as satisfying.

It is already obvious Gendry is safe. Him and Arya are gonna end up making a new house Starkoratheon.

I mean the actor is 22. I do think that there is something creepy about seeing a girl on television as a child, watching her slowly grow older until she gets fucked. I don't really feel the scene was neccesary but I'm glad they did it because it will cause an atomic spergout amongst the bookfags.

I'm a member of the tards watch and I spend time on the subreddit /r/asoiafcirclejerk where we have a few tards from the book only fandom who fucking hate the show who we make fun of. Possibly the biggest lolcow in ASOIAF/GOT to ever exist is this guy called Dragon Demands who is the admin of the Game of Thrones wiki. At this stage he has basically declared a holy war/Jihad against David Benioff (one of the showrunners) and has accused him of a litany of hilarious things that are obviously untrue.

Here are a few things that A Dragon Demands has accused Benioff of:
  • Being an incel.
  • Being an alcoholic.
  • Being incompetent.
  • Being a pathological liar.
  • Constantly chasing his wealthy fathers approval.
  • Being neglected as a child (because he found out he had a mild lisp when he was 35).
  • Being a narcissist.
  • Having a pill popping problem.
  • Not having any writing ability.
  • Removing all dialogue from the show to try to get the actors Emmy awards.
The best thing about A Dragon Demands is that he is a trainwreck going in slow motion.

There is a journalist for Time Magazine, Raisa Bruner. She wrote this article: http://time.com/5567981/game-of-thrones-books-show/

"Here's Why the Game of Thrones Show Is Better Than the Books"

Of course, this sent A Dragon Demands into a massive sperg rage and he sent an angry email to Time Magazine basically saying that the Game of Thrones wiki will no longer interlink or used Time Magazine as a citation for anything Game of Thrones.

He released this "documentary" that he made on why David Benioff is allegedly a bad person and it's an hour fucking long: https://youtu.be/OWEyUWZUh78
Just realized the Vale is fucked.
Retard Robyn is still there, and I imagine some will just go to the vale and hide until the whole thing is over. Didn't they say that the castle is impenetrable? Be fun to test that with a horde of Wights at the door.

The Vale is basically the only place that is "neutral" currently. Up until the last episode of season 7 it was run by Petyr Baelish, we don't really know what Sweet robin is doing.

The Vale would be really difficult to invade because of its geography. It's mostly mountainous, sure you could go into the valleys where most of the farming takes place and fuck the Vale up. But I would say The Vale is only really tied with Dorne in terms of being prepared to last the long night.

Cersei definitely won't try to invade the Vale (unless show logic has truly gone #fullretard) because it would be a huge waste of her mercenaries.

Death Pool Predictions.

Characters who will die because they have completed their journeys:
Jorah - finally accepted that he'll never fuck Dany
Theon - finally made good for sacking Winterfell
Beric Dondarrion - gets to serve the lord of light on last time
Gendry - dropped his seed in Arya
Samwell - cast aside his daddy issues when he gave his sword to Jorah, doesn't seem to be connected with Gilly anymore

Expendable character deaths:
Tormund
Edd
Grey Worm
Varys

Shock deaths:
Lyanna Mormont
Bran

Characters who have plot armor despite being expendable:
Brienne
Missandei

They’ve set it up to where they can kill any of the remaining characters and it would make sense, and they can give any of the remaining characters a happy ending and it would make sense. I have no idea who’s going to be standing at the end of this, I like that.

Character story arc? I mean... it can't be ALL dragons, zombies, boobs.

We're literally tying up the loose ends of everyone's stories at the moment and this was something that had been a shadow in Brienne's life since she was a young girl. She was only diluting herself about not wanting to be a Knight. She literally lived her entire life AS one out of spite. Also was a pretty damn nice way for Jamie to reconnect. I thought it was one of the best non fight / action scenes in GoT to date.

The whole episode gave me a serious LOTR Helm's Deep or Pelenor Fields battle prep, right down to Ser Davos trying to encourage the young men who'd never fought before. Pod's singing was such a close mirror to Billy Boyd's singing, even the first 4 notes of the song have the same pitch and cadence and the song had the same somber tone over people gearing up to die.

Forgesex was meh. Good for Arya/Gendry I guess? It's more fun to watch the outrage machine try and crank up reasons to be offended by it. Literally watched her assassinate and kill people AS a child and it was enduring then... but now that she's an adult and shows side boob and 2 inches of buttcrack people suddenly get squeamish. Did everyone forget Dany was supposed to be 14 when Drogo raped her? We had no context at the time other than the books and everyone was ok with both the rape and full frontal nudity.

Definitely some shit happening next episode. Although... where the fuck was the Night King? You'd think him stepping up to the top of the bluff instead of like... 7 of his lieutenants would be the shot. Wonder if he's fucked off with a bigger force to go further south and wreck Cersi's shit.

Wonder if cramming everyone down in the crypts with a bunch of dead people whilst fighting an army that can raise the dead was a good idea...

Yes, but it could have been made more interesting. They had Jamie Lanister, a major villain, in their midst, and they didn't make him sweat it out a bit more.

I'm hoping Melisandre shows up with some battle priests and there's an epic R'hollor/dragon/fire vs Night King/wights/ice battle at the opportune time..

All the speculation is annoying only because its due to GRRM not coming close finishing his series. At this point I just want it to be over.
