It just looked it, with the cut away and such. Not to mention it isn't the first time they did it before.

It wasn't a body double. They wrote the scene and let Maisie Williams determine if it would be a body double or how far they would go with the shot/nudity if she wanted to do the scene herself. For all the pearl-clutching over it, Williams seems to have been the most enthusiastic of anyone to do it.

I mean, the Arya thing makes sense. Its sort of idotic, "Yeah, this girl has experienced everything but sex. She wants to die alone and a virgin". That's not how humans work. Besides it being a body double and all, book readers are just mad ass hurt that GRRM will never finish the books.
Book Arya will geld you if you try to touch her. I really cringed at that scene...

Book Arya seduced Raff the Sweetling so she could get at his femoral artery in a preview scene that was clearly written when the five year gap was still a thing.

Arya still being capable of romantic relationships is the bad writing here, not the slag getting nude.

Arya is still a cute 10-year-old in viewers' minds. It's a credit to the actress that fans are STILL protective of her after her character ran an inter-continent murder train.

Yeah. To be fair, none of her dialogue implies actual human emotions, just that she wants to get laid.

You're right. they're definitely fucked if The Night King ventures south
I'm actually thinking that the night king has gone south and it's a bamboozle from both him and the showrunners. I'm thinking that he has split his army and will do what Dany should have done the moment she arrived, go and burn kings landing. So he'll lose the Winterfell battle, but smoke Kings Landing and gain a new army in the process. Cersi and a few survive and go north everyone will end up meeting at the Trident for the real battle.

It makes sense to me too. But I wish it would have been foreshadowed a little. I think many people had thought she was above sexual desires or something from her training. Of course, nobody is really above such things.
Somebody criticized the dialogue and it kinda did sound a little like dimestore bodice-ripper dialogue.
Most of these complainers are Neo-puritan pearl-clutchers.

Was the Arya in Braavos segment the one with the biggest dip in quality from book to show transition?

Sometimes I think some of you guys need to watch Lost before you start harping on shitty Tv writing.
Is the show's writing as good as it was when they were following the books? Fuck no. But acting like it's complete cancer is dumb when there's far worse examples out there.

The show's still entertaining. It's still tits and dragons at the end of the day. Personally, I'm fine with that.

Battlestar Galactica is another great example of fantastic starts that rapidly took a nosedive.

BAD
PUSSAY

To be fair I don't actually watch the show. Checked out early in season 5. My girlfriend just does and complains to me about it and makes me watch clips of the worst bits on youtube.

I'm too much of a history sperg to enjoy most of the battles. I can still like fight scenes because I don't know much about actual sword fighting, but the battles are very retarded. Even when the show was good and they were just cribbing stuff from the books they managed to fuck it up to try to dumb it down for the audience. Like when Robb Stark ingeniously tricked Tywin by sending 5,000 men to commit suicide on his army like this was Starcraft and they were zerglings, instead of sending Roose Bolton to do a low commitment surprise attack with the bulk of his troops resulting in a small tactical defeat but strategic victory by preventing Tywin from being able to track his movements.

Eh, it's more for the spectacle.
