Garry at least never intended for Gmod to have a child audience, it's just a consequence of it being a sandbox game that was cheap and on Steam at a convenient time. Roblox sought out that audience and does nothing to prevent them from being exploited. Roblox also became essentially a kids social media service while Gmod is still a traditional source game. Roblox is much, much worse.

I'm betting this will not be the success Garry hoped. Nobody cares enough to make content for it, plus the weird sausage people are still universally despised.
It could have been an upgraded version of gmod with infinite worlds and less limitations but Garry over here was too high on his ego to do that. Plus, gmod has the infinite world sizes with that one addon so s&box doesn't have anything over it anyways. I'm predicting it'll die as quietly as it lived.
