General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

sadly its probably true, I just like to play pretend though, as Westfront said its an escape for real world problems, like i imagine Kiara wearing a ball gown like some Austrian Noblewoman and im the Habsburg Prince who just grabs her and then marries her, but yeah maybe I take it too far, its a Copium but I should stop taking it so seriously.
I just like FWMC because their voices are funny and it's drama-free content, jesus christ mate, take a chill pill

Your right, I probably didn’t word what I was trying to say the best honestly but I think with FuwaMoco I like their personalities and their models are cute, probably should have left it at that, I’ll take the L for autstically rambling like that

I don't watch them with the illusion of "these chubas are my friends. They love me!" You need to touch some grass with that talk.
The rabbit hole is dangerous simply because of how easy it is for people to subconsciously fall into this line of thinking. I'm not talking about the schizo unicorns either; I've seen perfectly normal people start taking about the streamers they watch as if they are acquaintances. I myself had to step away from watching streams for a while after the Niji shitshow because I was having random nightmares of Doki trying to commit sudoku. Parasocial shit is dangerous, and the more you watch someone and participate in their community the more likely it is you're gonna fall for it without even being aware.
(Ironically, the same goes for some talents *looks at Kiara's 'please tell me before you kys' tweet*)

I think the unfortunate thing is that many Japanese companies encourage their fans to have parasocial bonds with their characters and brands.

It's kind of why Nintendo is more or less the Japanese equivalent of Disney when it comes to how much their characters are beloved and regardless of what the company does to set fan base they will always have support.

It also doesn't help that Japan is suffering from a lot of depression thanks to their Lost generation meaning that a lot of disillusion people are single and are looking for something to sink their time into and that's why we tend to see a lot of these extreme types get into anime and vtubing.

It's quite a vicious cycle.

I am not going to address most of the nonsensical sperging & chitchat of the last few pages.
So here are some things (info?) to steer the discussion regarding gooba into a more productive direction.
- while gura did not stream much for the last 2 years, there is a very racist talent that has streameed less than her and has been with holo for 7 years.

She is still with holo, so Cover is probably not too strict on how much a talent should stream.
- Ina does not *like really dancing. Kiara used to complain how she did not want to practice with her. Given that dancing is part of "idol activity" is seems like Cover is not that strict on those too.
- Did you know that senzawa collabed with the infamous belle delphine (mary-belle Kirschner) once - truly some trad stuff.
- historically Hololive has been one of the most pro-talent agencies
-they left the chinese market instead of just sacking coco.
-when the Rushia Meltdown happened, Cover initially supported Rushia. This has been largely memory holed, but I got the receipts
cover1.webp
- almost every talent that has left nijisanji has stated indirectly or directly how much of a shitshow that org was, and they show nothing but contempt for that agency, taking every opportunity to shit on them . All this despite their NDA
- This is also true for ex-talents from most other corpos like V&U, Wactor, etc ...
- This is not true for ex-Holos.
-Honestly "disagreement with management" or "Creative differences" is just a vague boilerplate answer. It could mean anything and its opposite.
- PR 101 : don't have a labour or contract dispute in public. As a talent the fans of the corpo could fuck you over and as a corpo the fans of the talent can fuck them. Not to mention legal fuckery. You only go public if you have no other option, or nothing to loose.
Transparency is a meme, you want that stuff to be solved in private with a lawyer if possible. Only a retard would vent and air their grievances with their boss, just as they announce their graduation.
-Managing talents is not a science, there is a human factor here. Some talents need more management, some less, (if you believe the elira-translator /middlemanager theory for niji en's collapse talent freedom is to blame for that trashfire)
- there is also the human factor in regards to managers; you could roll bad on the gatcha and get omegatroon or mels first manager. Or you get lucky and get a five star muumi.
- @blackjack101 is a cumbrained retard, who made a thread for lewd recommendation on the varisforum - 90% of all posts is just him posting the last thing he fapped to.
Thank you for listening to my tedtalk
*edit typo

The mistake is people willingly taking vtuber (gura of all things) statements at face value
Don't doublepost like a nigger. Edit your first post like a white man.

You need to immediately reevaluate your life choices.

That's what made her melt down and get fired.
Cover's post was a brutal betrayal, she thought. She wanted to speak for herself (as Rushia) and deny being in a relationship, not be "supported" (outed). She got fired for trying to work around the company and maintain her character by leaking to the dramafag.
Total management failure.
(It's hard to manage a crazy asshole, obviously.)

side skitzo theory - rushia is loopy because her family actually does dabble in dark spiritual practices

I'm pretty sure the timeline on that doesn't actually work Korekore the dramanigger had his inside scoop from Rushia before Cover ever said a word, he was out there talking about it like the day after the discord yab on her stream that sparked the whole thing.
I mean, she is a fucking nutcase and she is in her 40s iirc so it would not come as a shock to me if she were the type.
not quite 40 yet but she's getting close.

Didnt she have KoreKore on speedial? Iirc she went to him when she got accused (pre holo) of dating or associating with a comedian that then had sexual assault allegations (or a full conviction). And thats how he got the scoop really early, and leaked it right away for a fuckton of dramabucks

honestly lets hope she becomes a better person (she wont. She never will.) But then again, I still need to do my whole deep dive into Mikeneko which will require a lot of translating and transcribing on her past. Plus getting past Japanese Autism when it comes to the law.

then again, given she has that whole psycho shit going on, I feel like Rushia would be the type to go on forums like this to fuel her insanity a bit.

Like for example, last month she was on some tirade about how someone was "targetting her for harassment through stupid forums" (fair warning. this was on her instagram which I could not archive so, if you want to believe me or not is your own choice) which to me, reads like either a fan of hers (god forbid) sends her shit OR she ego surfs beyond just Xitter.

I think that's just the problem with the Japanese PR system because the culture functions on ambiguity but in the west we want direct black or white scenarios.

I'm sure there's a combination of a little everything going on behind the scenes because we know for a fact that there was some sort of change between the creation of myth and the foundation of what would eventually become promise.

Advent and Justice are most likely came about because of the after mentioned changes given how a lot of them are basically designed to be characters / talents but not only feel like upgrades of some of the older talents but pander to different factions of anime fans.

Idk, what the future holds but the next few generations on all the different sides are probably going to confirm or deny just what direction things are heading in.

As the the only stars watching negro on the board, I can only echo what Regis said.

He basically said that the reason he stayed was because of the support he got from the fan base because although the stars are a minority within a niche of a genre, the fans and "homobeggars" are very passionate about them which caused him to want to stay because there's a community here for him.

I'm sure everybody knows how bad the shark leaving looks and are probably going to lock more of their emotional responses behind memberships, but constantly seeing the dooming while trying to maintain a professional persona will eventually cause them to crack so just keep that in mind.

yeah Mafu and Mikeneko both were long standing "friends" of Korekore

Its quite a coincidence that she chose to leave around the same time that the other 3 hololive members began choosing to leave
Not really. They were all signed up to 23 most likely and started leaving when the contracts were likely up again and since there was a lot it took awhile to go through. It’s very clear she was going through shit and the stuff she said she hopes she gets better from she did not. She’s going to leave with all the rest because that makes the best time to leave. Otherwise it is another year of barely streaming and not doing anything and then leaving. Gura’s wanted out for some time.

After the standard ‘disagreement and direction’ she specifically talks about how much she struggled with everything

Meanwhile, Fauna went out of her way to make it clear mangement fucked up so badly she was done.

Mumei makes it clear it was health

Etc.

They actually do all explain reasoning.

It’s much better than saying ‘so many eyeballs terrified me, which lead to me being ill and burning myself out in the first two years, I need smaller audience’

This way Cover takes all the damage from any blowback and not the unwell Talent.

Sure it could be other reasons but when she’s been ill anxious wreck before all that started and that’s what all the Girls are hinting is up, reasoning seems clear and the timing is just shit.
