GLITCH Productions - From the guys that brought you the Super Mario 64 bloopers

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Self-quoting so I don't repeat myself. I don't think there will be any tranny shits in this show, my biggest fear is that Jax will get increasingly more faggy and invasive because the creator want to suck his dick. He drew this too. View attachment 5506040
While I did enjoy the pilot, I felt in my guts that it was a magnet for autism and elsagate content. Idk, the kidcore aesthetic coupled with the adhd pacing and thinly veiled fetish fuel gave me a bad feeling. This show seems to appeal to both the YouTube kids audience and tumblr. I fear that we're in for an internet storm bigger than undertale and bronies combined.
That aside, I still think the show has potential and I'm curious to check it out when it come out.
Hold on a second... so you're telling me there are people watching this show for reasons other than wanting to fuck the rabbit?

Who would've thought?

All of this has been common knowledge for a while
one of the biggest concerns people have with this show is if it will keep up the quality because the creator is such a degen(who seems to disappointed in how shit the fandom has become)
Imagine Children search up Gooseworx because they like TADC, find the fetish stuff or learn what it is, basically making them porn addicted

You know that's basically an argument for censorship, right? That if you make content children enjoy then you're also not allowed to make adult content either in case children find it through looking you up?

Also, it's hardly unprecedented. Rebecca Sugar (creator of Stephen Universe) made Ed, Edd, and Eddy yaoi before getting hired by Cartoon Network. Ed, Edd, and Eddy was in turn made by Danny Antonucci, who before making it also made adult-centric cartoons that are extremely inappropriate for children.

Weirdly enough, Gooseworx (somehow) isn't even the first animator to make trepanning content. Maxwell Atoms (creator of Billy & Mandy) made a short animated film about trepanation while in college and even used the same characters he later used in his show. It would be easier for me to list the children's cartoonists who aren't wanton degenerates, honestly.

I think it has something to do about opsec applying the same for public-figure mainstream artists managing gray-area risky private artworks, especially any artist's responsibility when they share too much in the past, and if they land a job in the future where the corporate employer does a deep-search of the artworks and finding drawn fetish content done in the past, they would be asking questions and asking them to try to keep a clean image for the mainstream public and scrub off any fetish stuff immediately, to avoid more stigmas about successful cartoon artists being total degens.

Hey, now that I mention it, I think they may have been inspired by Beetlejuice a fair bit

Everything about this show seems borrowed or inspired by. Since you brought up Beetlejuice, the Queen worm thing reminded of either a sandworm or the thing in "Nightmare Before Christmas" that ate all the presents and the Christmas tree. There was also what seemed to be a 2001 Space Odyssey reference when the clown girl went through one of the doors. Even the art style with the huge bland environments remind me of Reboot.

The show from 30 years ago (made by Canadians!) is similar in visual quality.

Yes, and it's a solid argument. Artists have been picking separate pseudonyms for their different-genre works for ages. It's not a violation of muhfreedumbs to demand that children's entertainment companies (1) do not credit pornographers by their pornographer names, and (2) do not hire pedophiles at all.

But as I've said, plenty of people in the animation industry have made content inappropriate for kids without using pseudonyms or trying to keep it a secret for decades.

Even if Gooseworx had used a pseudonym for TADC, what would that have accomplished? Instead of simply googling their name these hypothetical kids we're handwringing over would have instead just googled their pseudonym and found "Pseudonym (also known as Gooseworx)" and still found their other content regardless. And remember that they were hired by Glitch because they were already well-known for their work as Gooseworx, so there's no part of this process where they could have made TADC without it being possible to link it to everything else they've made.

A lot of moralising puritanism going on for a product aimed at the 'quirky millenial animation' demographic, something that Glitch has explicitly stated themselves. If children find the animations, that's the parents' fault for not supervising what their kids do online and giving unrestricted access. Flashgitz has been around for at least a decade doing parodies of child-oriented videogame franchises but nobody's rushing to fault them.

There's a better case to be made against Hasbro knowingly allowing children to be exposed to softcore pornography via Michael Bay's movies than a kid hypothetically looking up a name they find in the credits, children don't go around searching for details on every name in the credits of an animation. Most Adventure Time fans don't even know who Pendleton Ward is despite his name prominently featuring in the intro and end credits.

Another Example, Chris Savino (The Loud House) created Comics "The complex adventures of Eddie Puss" revolves around a anthropomorphic cat that is in love with his mom and wants intercourse
