I hope this court hearing leads to something other than another continuance, however I don't want Chris Chan to get off with a slap on the wrist either. But I don't think I can read another Jail letter, it inhuman. However when he gets out his new found god complex will only get worst.

Well I guess it's prediction time...

I predict a plea bargain, which results in Chris being placed on the sex offender's list, a year of probation and time served. Since Barb is living elsewhere, I think he will be allowed by the family to go back to 14 BC to stay until they sell the house. He'll be told to use that time to find his own accommodation. (He won't.) He'll start filling the house with trash again and the sheriff will be called.

Beyond that, my crystal ball is hazy. To be continued...

Who said Barb was living elsewhere?

the god complex will reach the point where chris will simply barge into places and announce it as his new home.
afterall, he is the most important person in the world right? ...right?

at that rate, he may as well just leech off the people who wrote to him. Not like he can live in cwcville physically anyway.

This would be a very good time for something that should have happened long ago: for Sega and the Pokemon Company to hit Chris with a copyright infringement suit. They won't, of course, because his little masturbatory scribbles don't pose an economic threat to them. But, since the Sonichu "comics" are available for purchase on Amazon, a copyright strike would have merit.

As I say, it won't happen. But if the courts forbade Chris from ever using his plagiarized characters again, it would hurt him worse than anything else. Imagine the courts simply decreeing an end to the Sonichu "universe." It would be a beautiful thing.

Given that we got news of a continuance so quickly before, is it safe to assume something has or will happen today?
I'm leaning towards that but we don't know if the delay is because the hearing is ongoing/addressed substantive issues or if it's just taking the clerk longer to update the case status or for people to call and ask/post the clerk's response or even some unrelated reason.

I'd wager a combination of all those things. Takes a bit to process paperwork after a plea/sentencing and since this is family court, it's probably even slower.

Chris wasn't my first lolcow, nor was he one I followed as much as some others but he was inescapable on the internet. I can't help but feel invested in this even if Chris wasn't even on my mind the past few years prior to this whole mess. Couldn't say I expected anything like this though, but part of me probably always knew it was a 50-50 shot it would end badly for him when I noticed Chris was dead set on not growing (from experience if an autistic person decides they don't want to learn or grow they REALLY won't and only double down the harder you try helping).

In my eyes the only good outcome would be if he actually gets a punishment here that he understands is a punishment fully built on his actions. If he gets a slap on the wrist for this the system will create an absolute monster out of him. Psychiatric wards are another coin flip of being good or worse for the subject but at least being put in an institution may give him some indication that what he did was wrong. Though he may be stuck there indefinitely

no, hes always been mentally ill, delusional and lived completely in fantasy-land. as i keep pointing out, for one of many examples, in second grade, he sincerely believed that a damn animatronic Christmas bear at the mall was god speaking to him through the bear and convinced him to change his name ! and adding insult to injury , his parents paid, and bribed people to include him and befriend him, further feeding into false beliefs and thought process, he believed all his school years on up, that he was super talented, skilled, loved, popular, etc. i mean he could not understand why he was never recognized in high school for his ''art'' -- um yeah, i can phone that answer in : because it sucked !!! there are 2nd and 3rd graders whos art is much more skillful than chris's ever has been. lol
this also extended into his college years at PVCC. If his altercation with MLW is true and he was talking to 'Sonichu' in front of her, then yeah, Chris would be insane, and he's acted the same ever since.
