UPDATE: Chris is getting another continuance. There is no date yet. They were unable to give me the case number or state the nature of the case.
(I miss the nice lady from this morning).
I will call tomorrow to see if I can find us a date! Until then, looks like he's stuck in a cell unless he gets the portal working.

We can watch the Virginia UJS website as it should update immediately with information.

What court is he being tried in?

He is in J&DR court, which does not post case information online. You can only look up General District and Circuit Court cases, not J&DR. (The best you can do is look up unpaid fines in J&DR, for instance Gunt hasn't paid his for the Faith pr0n dissemination)

They couldn't have cleared the house out with Barb there. She would be agitated by that process. They might take her there to spend the day to keep her grounded, but I can't see them letting her live on her own any more.
I wouldn't be too sure, Barb was willing to let things be sold off from the hoard at various times, and in her current situation she can't really STOP the involved parties from cleaning out the hoard. What's she gonna do, threaten her sudden death at the only people who even give a shit about her anymore? Hell, they could flat out lie to her and say they've moved it to some kind of off-site storage for literally any reason and she'd have no choice but to buy the story and then subsequently and completely forget about whatever she was upset over losing in the first place.

However, barring any recent proof, it would be easier to assume Barb does not actually reside in 14BC full time anymore like you suggest. That subdivision is pretty far into the boonies and it would be easier to provide care for an elderly person if they slept under the same roof you did.

This would be a very good time for something that should have happened long ago: for Sega and the Pokemon Company to hit Chris with a copyright infringement suit. They won't, of course, because his little masturbatory scribbles don't pose an economic threat to them. But, since the Sonichu "comics" are available for purchase on Amazon, a copyright strike would have merit.

As I say, it won't happen. But if the courts forbade Chris from ever using his plagiarized characters again, it would hurt him worse than anything else. Imagine the courts simply decreeing an end to the Sonichu "universe." It would be a beautiful thing.
as if he wouldnt try to start it up again in seeecret

I hope Chris has a nice birthday behind bars. I wonder if he pleaded to the judge that he wanted to be let go specifically for this. Instead of toys, Chris' presents will be books he won't read and a lot of Fanta bottles.

Well, that's pretty much what I expected.

Damn an innocent man kept in jail until his life is totally ruined, this is what BLM is all about ✊

In all seriousness it’s kind of incredible that Chris can be kept in jail indefinitely on the tax payers’ dime without an actual conviction. I’d protest it if I were a shithole Virginia resident but luckily I live in shithole New York :)

New York has people who have been kept on Rikers Island waiting for trial for multiple years. It's famous for having the worst case delays in the country. It becomes problematic when the typical sentence is actually shorter than the time they've served. (Remember, they can be held up until the maximum sentence).

In Chris' case, 6+ months is completely reasonable for a sentence, so there's no problem with holding him pre-conviction for this long. It won't get problematic until we get close to the year mark.

HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT

I'm confused, what do you think he's getting away with? He's getting away with being in jail?

Looks like he is turning 40 behind bars.
What a life.
