It came to him in a dream.Proof?
Ah I see. See you all in July!It came to him in a dream.
If you still haven't played Crack-Life Anniversary Campaign, you're a nigger. Fucking amazing experience, siemka321 fucking delivered with this one.
let me guess you niggers thought siemka would punch down on the jokes? play the older crack life mods while you are at it, it's one of the best mods that delivers good shit, the rest is up to personal taste but if you want unfiltered humor then crack life is your thing, personally crack life is right up my alley since i've tried a few horror/alternate story mods and they bored the fuck out of me.I'm seconding, this is truly MOTY and will be remembered among the greatest HL1 mods such as They Hunger, Afraid of Monsters and so on. I love that Siemka123 made the conscious decision to leave out all the offensive parts of the game out of the trailer as to not raise any instant red flags for the ModDB jannies. I HIGHLY recommend this mod to anyone who enjoys HL1 as it's really well made: from level design to combat - everything feels just right.
Oh and the humor, absolutely brilliant:
i think it is funny seeing them experiencing crack life for the first time, this is what modding should be about instead of gay cinematic shit with detailed vaginas, there are some dudes trying to port crack life to black mesa and HL2 so people can enjoy good shit with high polycount.As-if Varg didn't instantly give it away. (Not that it's a surprise if you played the previous versions. He seems to keep ramping it up with every successive mod.)
I played the first Crack-Life years ago, including the old Campaign. I just didn't expect siemka to go this hard with the memes, and I already forgot the Campaign mod as well. Guess I got jaded over the political correctness poisoning everything and I was expecting CL:AC to be toned down. Thank fuck I was wrong, 10/10, MOTY.i think it is funny seeing them experiencing crack life for the first time
It's a separate mod. You install it as any HL1 mod on steam. You done fucked up if you ended up bricking the mod.God help me, I'm being a moron: how do I enable all mod content in the Crack-Life Anniversary campaign? I can see the anniversary campaign in Steam and launch it, I have set "Allow Custom Addon Content" to be enabled, and yet some content won't load, and it bricks the first map: an enemy type you rely on to open a one-way door doesn't exist in my configuration of the expansion. Do I need to manually merge the extension over the original mod? Install all Crack-Life releases in parallel? For all the game modding I've done I've entirely ignored Source/GoldSrc games.
Dammit, then there's something really esoteric going on. Thanks. It's a separate mod. You install it as any HL1 mod on steam. You done fucked up if you ended up bricking the mod.
You just paste the entire mod folder into HL's root directory (not the contents of the folder but the folder itself) and then launch Half-Life through steam with a flag "-game <name of the mod folder>" added through launcher settings. I'm not sure how you managed to fuck that up unless you're trying to play it with Xash3D or something.Dammit, then there's something really esoteric going on. Thanks.
It will just show up as a mod in the library after restarting steam. You just paste the entire mod folder into HL's root directory (not the contents of the folder but the folder itself) and then launch Half-Life through steam with a flag "-game <name of the mod folder>" added through launcher settings. I'm not sure how you managed to fuck that up unless you're trying to play it with Xash3D or something.

i now noticed what he did, it's a zoomie or somethinig. You just paste the entire mod folder into HL's root directory (not the contents of the folder but the folder itself) and then launch Half-Life through steam with a flag "-game <name of the mod folder>" added through launcher settings. you download the mod, browse local files of your half life installation and extract CLAnniversary folder into it then you can choose "change game" after you launch the game or you can make a shortcut with what spruce said to launch the mod without the need to constantly change game.Dammit, then there's something really esoteric going on. Thanks.
I noticed that the "Change game" option is absent on my installation ever since the anniversary update. Since I can't be bothered to revert to the pre-anniversary version through Steam Beta channel I found the "-game" launch flag to be a bullet-proof method to go about things.you download the mod, browse local files of your half life installation and extract CLAnniversary folder into it then you can choose "change game" after you launch the game
Small tangent, but I really dislike how much "streamlined" modding has become, NexusMods being the worst offender. You're expected to use some (potentially bloated) client to manage your mods rather than doing it the old fashioned way of simply pasting things over your installation. I can understand the appeal if you have 10+ mods at once and things start breaking, but definitely not when you just want a handful at most. And don't get me started on the whole aspect of them monopolizing mod distribution, sometimes even preventing you from downloading the mods unless you make an account and/or use their client.i now noticed what he did, it's a zoomie or somethinig.
I remember the good old days of Minecraft mods. I guess this is why i can install mods without problems.Small tangent, but I really dislike how much "streamlined" modding has become, NexusMods being the worst offender. That's what I did. Shows up in Steam as a separate game, I can launch it and get the "International Minds" intro video, start the game with the tram ride remix, etc. I just don't have access to all the mod features for some reason.you download the mod, browse local files of your half life installation and extract CLAnniversary folder into it then you can choose "change game" after you launch the game or you can make a shortcut with what spruce said to launch the mod without the need to constantly change game.
what mod features? just play the tram ride and keep going, that's literally how cracklife works, it started as a remix of the campaign but with crack. That's what I did. Shows up in Steam as a separate game, I can launch it and get the "International Minds" intro video, start the game with the tram ride remix, etc. I just don't have access to all the mod features for some reason.
I agree. But you are also right with your point about lots of mods. I would have a lot of trouble loading 120 mods onto New Vegas without the mod manager.Small tangent, but I really dislike how much "streamlined" modding has become, NexusMods being the worst offender. The amount of kino in this mod is insane.![]()
Also, you just know you're in for a good time when there's a supplementary, optional patch just to remove the Nigger word from the game:
