looking at moddb today it seems that the infinite finality modding team has imploded because some of the devs where a little racist its all included in this moddb post, most of it was just about gypsies and if you don't live in europe you won't understand the hatred people have against gypsies here, they cause problems everywhere they go and they pretend like they're some opressed minority group when they're mostly just crooks. Anyways this is really retarded but I thought it might be funny for some people.

Anyways, I've been following Infinite Finality and lurking on their gooncord for awhile because it was one of the few mods out there that was attempting to tackle the Episode 3 concept. IF was going to make EP3 as close to what Valve intended as they possibly could, even including the Epistle 3 script despite Laidlaw's hatred for it. Things were good, for a time, a Demo did come out around end of 2024. I myself was not personally impressed but there was always room to grow.

I'll skip the mundane crap and get to today. About a day ago, an article was posted to Infinite Finality's ModDB page, in this article, the writer, Bluu, posted evidence from 'cord that most of the members on Team Hyperborea (the team behind the mod) had some interesting things to say about certain people groups. In the article, there is also a link to a google doc that exposes the actions of the team: the doc in question

That brings me to the primary Person of Interest for this whole debacle:

This is the whistleblower, supposedly a 16 year old "he/they", Bluu was the one to upload the article. From what I can gather, Bluu hijacked the ModDB page for Team Hyperborea and the ModDB page for IF, and closed the 'cord so he could upload his thoughts.


So it seems that this is a case of one developer having a spat with the team and taking matters into his own hands.

Currently, this probably leaves Half-Life Interlude as the only one in the EP3 race. Because IF is now most likely dead or under new management (not in a good way) Interlude will see an uptick in popularity.

Personal thoughts
I try to be unbiased in providing info, so I'm leaving my personal thoughts here. This is a gay and retarded situation through and through. Personally, I think Interlude was going to be the better mod anyways, but no mod deserves a fate like this. This is a case of a (likely) American teen with too much time on his hands and an a hatred for "duh bigets and transphobes!!" not understanding that stereotypes exist for a reason and Euros are just naturally racist.

This, THIS kind of stuff right here proves that:
A. Modding is ALWAYS better when done with IRL close friends, or even better, ALONE.
B. Euros are the last bastion for good modders minus exceptions
C. Children should NEVER EVER be on your mod team.
D. NEVER ADVERTISE YOUR MOD OR HAVE A DISCORD FOR IT

I'm curious to see how the situation develops.
