Yeah, the girlfriend messages are damning. I think that his sense of reality is impaired (uh, obv), but he has enough sense of right vs wrong to cater how he talked about the Barb situation to his specific audiences.

He knew that he had to make up the girlfriend story with Null, but with others, who may have indicated to him (or did indicate to him) that they were into it, he knew that it was okay to talk about it. It's not even just about it being fed to him, he knew specifically that he'd be in trouble if he told Null about it, so he made up a lie (albeit a transparent one, in retrospect).
I was willing to give Chris the benefit of the doubt when it comes to him being an unreliable narrator or being otherwise disconnected from reality.
The fact he KNEW that he couldn't say that he porked his mom directly to Null, so he decides instead to lie by omission and instead drop hints.

It's just all very strange, it completely reframes all of the interactions Chris has EVER had.

He knew that it's illegal and that other people would find what he did to be wrong, but it's really unlikely he actually believes it to be wrong. A lot of people in woke circles believe that nothing "two (or more) consenting adults" do together can possibly be wrong, even if those adults are mother and son, as long as no children result, and many have questioned the taboos against incest by comparing it to homosexuality or interracial sex (inb4 "slippery slope isn't real"). While obviously disagreeing with a law isn't a legal excuse for violating the law, he'll probably try to use this line of argument to convince the jury to acquit him, assuming this ends up in court.

Of course, the thing is that Barb didn't consent, but I'm sure Chris has convinced himself, in his near-infinite capacity for self-delusion, that she said yes to sex with him and that they're star-crossed lovers persecuted by the Dumb Laws in VA regarding a time-honored Southern tradition.

tl;dr not necessarily. He definitely knows that it's unacceptable according to most people's moral codes, but most likely thinks everybody else is mistaken rather than not caring that he's doing something wrong.

But in all honesty, all kiwifarmers are mentally disturbed people. It's why I'm proud of myself of having you sick degenerates force me here and me not be a godawful human being and WANT to be on this site.

I would never even think about any of you or ever seek any of you perverts out for myself.

Just like how people who hid jews in WW2 didnt actually think it was morally good because they hid it.
Yeah, I don't know why it hasn't occurred to anyone else that you can believe that you're in the right and still CYA against getting in trouble with the law.

Chris only cares if he gets caught or called out He does not care anything else.

I actually think one of the biggest contributors to his trolls was the fact that he was a homophobe. People used that as an excuse to ruin his life. This was back in the golden era, so people really felt punk rock for fucking with homophobes, which is why all his trolls seem to be teenagers.

I would say his utter lack of self-awareness putting his life out there in comic form, combined with his inceldom, was the real thing that incited the trolls to him like flies upon shit.

If he was doing just video diary blogs, interest might have faded somewhat over time. But the comics he made were a literal King In Yellow type piece of literature that kept drawing people into the abyss that was Chris Chan. And the absurd and grotesque nature of them, and Chris Chan using them to talk about his past and present and (in general) the people around him, only added to the "did this fucker not know the first rule of the internet is not to spill your dirty secrets online for everyone to see?" contempt and mockery, but also spawned the vast amount of research into just about every aspect of Chris's life to "verify" his one sided, over the top stories about his life in high school and college and beyond. And calling him out for his Stan Smith/Eric Cartman level denial and revisionism about his history and past he put out there in comic form.

But his inceldom, that was IMHO, the thing that made it "ok" to torment Chris Cjhan. Because he clearly had all of the nasty ass tell tells of what became incel culture, especially when compared to incel poster boy Elliot Rodgers.

He definitely has the ability. To know to obfuscate information when talking to others and to lie to hide things shows knowledge that he knows what he was doing was wrong or at the very least not something people would react positively to.

If something is morally wrong, then that means that people shouldn't do it regardless of if they want to do it or not. And I don't know anything in Chris-chan's beliefs that provide any reason why any such claim is true. So I don't think he is able to know that anything is morally wrong, no.

You have to realize that this is a "man", that has been pampered all his life until adulthood. He's had no responsibility for nothing and has been allowed to remain in his twisted delusional manbaby world for decades. The thing is. Ever since Bob told him to go on SSI and pay him over 400 dollars per month in rent, just shows what kind of parents Chris "had/have". As many others have said through the years, they were totally incapable or unwilling to help their son in the least possible ways to become a functioning member of society.
Does he believe right from wrong?... I think at one point he did. However, i think now that he is suffering from serious Schizophrenic delusions.
Did the trolling cause this?.... Not the old trolling with Liquid Chris and Bluespike.. But what the "Idea Guys" had him do and all the so called "Sweethearts", i believe it finally pushed him over the edge.
As with any serious mental illness it does not happen over night. It takes years for it to manifest and once it does... Well.... Here we are.

Chris never really had much of an idea of right and wrong, granted he obviously knew some stuff was but he's always had a warped sense of morals, for example anything he didn't like or people making fun of him on the internet were viewed as the ultimate sins as opposed to like murder, remember in the comic where homosexuality was made illegal punishable by death? also as he further retreated into the madness of his mind his sense of right and wrong was further warped, I believe in this case he truly did not think he was doing anything wrong but rather "pleasuring" barb and even assisting her with her memory (per the sent texts) that said he always has had some inkling of wrong stuff being wrong so he probably knew this wasn't fully right but rather ignored those ideas believing the good outweighed them

I dont think chris could ever really tell, or at least he was always so egotistical that he thought the rules didnt apply to him.

Remember when Mary Lee Walsh told him he couldnt put up the attraction signs, he just straight up ignored her, and when he got punished for it he pretended like it was some massive persecution of autistic people.

Same with him getting banned from the game place, it wasnt because of his shitty behavior it was because Snyder was one of those evil trolls.

Theres so many other examples of this it's insane, the incest is just the most extreme example of this imo.

>remember in the comic where homosexuality was made illegal punishable by death?

That has been the punishment for that act in most societies and most of human history. Even killing people recreationally (in general or certain groups, like family members, certain races or classes of people like slaves) has been legal more than homosexuality. While Bob was alive he seemed to take the bible seriously and death penalty is explicitly mentioned as the punishment for homosexuality. The only reason to think that it is wrong is current social trends and cultural opinions. Which might be difficult for him to grasp in normal circumstances, he could even believe people were trolling him by pretending homosexuality is alright. When he grew up in the 80s and 90s, then "gay" was a slur. So even with a good ability to reason it would be difficult for someone without the animal instinct of social interaction to understand when the zeitgeist turned homosexuality into something we are supposed to consider morally fine. And Chris is not known for his reasoning skills so he doesn't even have that.

Has Chris lost the ability to know right from wrong?

Is this a question that really needs asking at this point? He rationalised fucking his elderly demented mother and boasted about it.

If he didn't know it was wrong then I don't think he would have been trying to hide it and claiming he had an "older girlfriend" instead.
That seemed more like Chris playing coy than being ashamed/embarrassed. At least that's the way I read it.

Chris flirted around the idea of sharing his rape story around his peers through casual hints and remarks. He knew the consequence of his actions if he fucked his demented mama.

Now that he has revealed his secret to the world...because he couldn't stop himself from "flexing" his experience with Barb, he is now in a position of deflection and "moving on" because he has been doing the same shit over and over again & got away with it.

Now he has gone too far. There is no coming back. He is no longer a vulnerable Asperger kid anymore. He is now an autist rapist. Danger to the society.

Obviously.

Chris probably lost it a long time ago though. He's always been a slippery one. He's like that villain in children's cartoons who wouldn't dare hurt the hero until he thinks he can for sure win and then when the magical sword or whatever is knocked out of his hand he begs for mercy.

No. Chris knows that what he was doing is socially unacceptable, which is why he slowly dropped hints about this "girlfriend."

At the same time, I think he is mentally stunted enough to believe that he was in a romantic relationship with his demented mother. His mind is not quite right. He is basically a big dumb child who understands what he is supposed to do, but does not want to do it.

I sort of liked Chris as a weirdo. He could be a selfish jerk, but he never appeared to be dangerous or a bad person. His upbringing by two idiots left him unable to socialize or live amongst regular people in any way. This is proof of that.

Chris clearly understood right and wrong if he wanted to kill all homos. The better example would him being outwardly okay with fagets later in his life. That is when morality became an issue for him.

Frankly he has always seemed moderately sociopathic to me in his adult life, I believe he understands right from wrong but does not care and simply acts in a way that suits him and him alone, only empathy he has shown has been the death of his dogs.
Antisocial Personality Disorder does seems to fit Chris's patterns of behaviour, in particular his apathy to the rights of others, and his indifference when called out on his behaviour.
