Hatred (Game)

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure how to feel about this game. Kind of want to try it just to see what it's like and maybe use it as an emergency stress release (And helloooo FBI watchlist!) while on the other hand it might end up being a piece of crap flash-esque game.

i know it's established people are flipping shit over this game but sometimes it's nice to have compilations

I don't really care for the game but people be treating this game like Satan came all over it.
Didn't someone say the Neo-Nazi thing was a lie? Even then, this got a pass because people voted for it plus Gabe wasn't informed of the game being taken down. These people have enough salt to sell in a large container just because an edgy video-game gotten greenlit amd such.

Yeah, the symbols they were presenting are supposed to be the Polish Resistance's rather than the Nazis, although one can make the case that they just hate Soviets more because reasons. [So if you presented them two jerks, one Nazi and one Soviet, and they had to spare one, they might spare the Nazi first.]

the thing is though that extreme leftists have already latched onto the idea that they are Nazis therefor they are Nazis NO EXCEPTIONS, also it doesn't help that they'd rather kill a Soviet as most of the people in that image are in love with Communism.

So GoG is boycotting Hatred

Bare in mind they sell Postal 2 and Hotline Miami but not this.
It does come off as hypocritical since Postal 2 allows you to dismember people, urinate on them, and even burn them alive. Same goes with Hotline Miami since that has you doing the same minus the urination and burning (but add to it beating them when they are down or even chopping them with a cleaver if you get to them before they get off). Still, one would wonder why GoG would have reservations in releasing the game aside from its nature.

This game was practically designed to be banned, and that will be one of its advertising gimmicks.
Indeed. The game itself is built on the same level as the first Postal, being the sort of game that many will decry for being a murder simulator simply because you play some guy going out on a rampage shooting people.

Not gonna lie... kinda excited to play this game next week. Yeah, it looks completely edgelord, but at least it's a game being true to itself and not casting itself in any grandiose light. Like, when you watched the GTA V reveal trailer, how many of you marveled at how amazing it looked, followed shortly after about how much fun it's going to be to drive around in a sports car, mowing down pedestrians?

As for the game being boycotted by GoG- not all that surprised. It's AO rating basically restricts a lot of places from ever offering it. It's still a fucking miracle Steam is even carrying it in the first place.

YouTube usr 'Harmful Opinions' says Hatred is pretty good:

He's also going to upload some highlights of the game to his channel in case you're interested.
Seeing the video, the game itself doesn't look that bad. As far as violence goes, the worst one sees in it was just some heads being popped like grapes when the Hatred guy stomps the head of a person he is executing.

So basically, as TB points out, an edgelord version of Robotron.
TB correctly points out the game is going to get enormously popular because of the controvercy it has obtained and not because of it's fairly lacking gameplay elements.

Being fair, GOG is CD Projekt, an actual Poland studio. So they may know better what is the deal with Devs than SJWs from the U.S.
I think it's purely P/R myself. Trying to avoid outrage culture taking force and people boycotting the site because of it. With the Witcher 3 only just releasing I'd assume they're afraid of it hurting their bottom line.
