How is it a show independently released on YouTube is better, funnier, and more watchable than a show dropped at once on a major streaming service? Despite what I said it's still better than anything the major networks are making.

Seriously tho, it's absolutely pathetic how helluva (which has plenty of problems) is easily better then any cartoon released in i don't even know how long at this point

Shouldn't people be harassing r34 artists for doing anything with Alastor considering he's supposedly ace? I mean holy fuck how problematic.

Didn't Viv say she doesn't really mind people shipping Alastor even though he's canonically asexual?
This is pretty much any content creator over the past couple of decades; they either encourage it or let it be so long as shippers don’t go overboard. (Sadly many shippers often go overboard.)
The only creator I know that got hung up over shipping is probably Butch Hartman.

I’m aware this is bait, so I’ll simply say this: someone doing a bad thing does not make them a bad person, and being a bad person does not mean that they are a bad person about everything.
I 100% agree...You can be a bad person who has redeeming qualities and fair points.

Too bad that doesn’t apply to Angel Dust or to a lesser extent; Stolas. A writer/author wants you to feel sorry for a character? Sure. Wanna actually show them with adleast one redeeming quality to their motifs? You can’t just say “feel bad for this person” without reason. That’s what those two characters come off as.

BTW wasn’t baiting.

It’s basically Steven Universe tier writing. Even then, that show actually showed you were supposed to feel bad for those characters. All these shows do is show one trait and then go “Clap now”.

Just opened youtube and saw this:

Honestly I feel like my only criticism is that I kinda feel like it was just a little too soon for an episode like this; this feels like an episode 5 or 6 sort of story when you’ve gotten a rhythm going, not 2 or 3 depending how you count the pilot. But I can’t say I hold that against them. They’re probably releasing them as they’re finished as opposed to the traditional method of having a separate production and release order.

The opening was definitely the strongest part of the episode though.

... was I the only one who didn't like Stolas' song? I feel like they went to the Rebecca Sugar school of musical numbers: For every amazing one, you have to have one shitty one.

Just a random observation on Helluva Boss episode 2: When Stolas says "Blitzo is the only one who can fuck me", it's bleeped. This is the only instance of "fuck" (or anything else, except for Stolas' sexual rants in the other episodes) being bleeped. What is up with that?

When has Angel Dust expected anyone to feel sorry for him anyway? He's an unabashed degenerate. He isn't even in the Hotel because he sought it out. Charlie and Vaggie picked him up on the street and basically bribed him to be there. He's not seeking redemption. I like him. That doesn't mean he isn't evil and degenerate. He just lacks hypocrisy.

Also I'm not sure how much you're supposed to sympathize with these characters anyway. It's not like it's forced down your throat. It wouldn't be the first show where everyone is absolutely terrible.

So far I think Alastor is right. Demons can't be redeemed.

This. Every time Stolas has sworn it's been censored.
Has it been every time? Maybe I missed it. I thought it was just his long phone rants.

I would agree with this except for one thing. The end of Addict. Angel had some sort of revelation there. Whether it will stick remains to be seen, but it seems like he realizes that being a career sinner isn't everything it's cracked up to be.

And that's literally the only moment AD even admits not being a completely enthusiastic degenerate. And he's alone. And he's not asking for sympathy. I'm not sure where that nonsense is coming from. Maybe the creators? I don't know. I have to admit I kind of do sympathize despite the reasons I shouldn't.
