I mean, if we’re talking about success in modern cartoons, Helluva Boss has a lot to live up to. SU ended nearly a year ago yet the one year anniversary brought in tons of attention. Despite being a reboot, DuckTales ending has a lot of people mourning it. HB announced a new episode for today and it hasn’t garnered much attention.
It has a long climb to go through.

Two of these are on cable, safe for all ages, and have multiple seasons behind them. One of them is NOT that.

It's not really a fair comparison.

Not only that, Steven Universe and Ducktales are still getting actively promoted on their respective channels, either to round out their last season or because they're still making PSAs and other material with those characters as we speak. Helluva Boss is a webseries with a single episode besides the pilot, and Hazbin's first episode hasn't even been made yet.

It's like saying Eddsworld isn't popular because it doesn't get as much attention as Craig of the Creek.

Vivize? Don't try to make characters you created as unrepentant shameless assholes sympathetic. It never ever works. You can't have angel dust first appearance blowing a guy for drug money and then try and make us for sorry for him being raped by his pimp and you can't have stolas be an adulterous slut then try and and have us think "aww he loves his daughter he does care." No no you can't just manipulate people into liking asshole characters like that.

New episode of Helluva Boss was alright, although relatively speaking I'd say probably the weakest so far. Just felt not quite as funny overall. But it was interesting to get a deeper look into Stolas, and to watch IMP actually kicking ass. Still hate Millie's new VA more than life itself, but nu-Stolas is alright. Not bad/10

I liked the episode, made me appreciate Stolas more and the info we got on Blitzo's past was a nice addition. Only criticisms I really have are that it felt a bit rushed and Millie's voice is still awful.

Yeah aside what I said before (came off wrong sorry for that) it's still a very serviceable episode of the series, despite but I said I'm glad helluva is able to upload on semi regular basis.

I’m aware this is bait, so I’ll simply say this: someone doing a bad thing does not make them a bad person, and being a bad person does not mean that they are a bad person about everything.

NGL, that episode was more emotional and deep than funny and violent which is why we're here now. And the songs are nice too. Enjoyed many of the imp designs too though a small amount of them were pretty shitty (rest were nice).

How is it a show independently released on YouTube is better, funnier, and more watchable than a show dropped at once on a major streaming service? Despite what I said it's still better than anything the major networks are making.
