This may have been answered already, so my apologies, but when is Hazbin Hotel actually supposed to come out? I remember watching the pilot what seems like 5 years ago and haven’t heard anything since except some generic updates here and there.

this summer, supposedly.....only it's halway THROUGH summer, and we still haven't gotten so much as an inkling of even what platform it's going to be coming to. Hazbin is becoming more and more like vapor-media by the day.

I’m not an animator so I can’t speak on how long it takes to make a cartoon, but I feel like the hold up can only hurt them. I know Angel Dust was basically Tumblr’s chosen one when the pilot dropped (The only reason I even know what this show is is because of my mutuals at the time constantly reblogging shit about it), but I can’t imagine the show will have the same level of interest now as it did when the initial frenzy popped off.

also I never actually watched a single episode so I have no idea what any of these characters actually sound like. why does Stolas have the voice of a nasally nerd?

he originally sounded like a regular snobby royal and not a flamboyant queer in the pilot but since viv is a fujo she has no taste for characters that sound like actual characters and not exaggerated gay archetypes.

Maybe I'm forgetting something, but how come Blitzo's druggie sister has access to an artifact for traveling between worlds, isn't that supposed to be a very hard thing to obtain given that the whole premise of the show is set around the idea that Stolas getting dicked guarantees access to his grimoire so that I.M.P has it easy when it comes to actually doing their job?

there is no explanation for now, these crystals are only given to succubi/incubi by Asmodeus himself, so Barbie must be working for them to make sense.

but it makes you question that with how easy it is to access the human world, who has the means of travel and the apparent lack of limitations and consequences the human world should be very different than just normal Earth.

while low level demons have little business on Earth, high ranking demons should have massive operations or entire Nations run by demons in disguise and they don't seem to have limitations on the use of magical powers in the human world and even Heaven doesn't interfere directly (they punish their angels but ignore the demons even though they do a terrible job of hiding).
Stolas once said that he would get in trouble if I.M.P were discovered, but they were already caught and nothing happened. The status quo is very strong.

And also with the human world being so accessible, is there a way for the sinners to get back there? Find a way, get disguises and they go back to living a new life with demonic powers now, the show still didn't give a reason why this couldn't be possible.

while low level demons have little business on Earth, high ranking demons should have massive operations or entire Nations run by demons in disguise and they don't seem to have limitations on the use of magical powers in the human world and even Heaven doesn't interfere directly (they punish their angels but ignore the demons even though they do a terrible job of hiding).

In the pilot, there is a scene where Stolas asks Blitzo to take out a political candidate on Earth because this human is trying to convince the masses global warming is real. Stolas points out that it is real but more people will die if nothing is done about it, implying Hell will likely have more souls given how strict Heaven is.

This little throwaway gag could have planted the seeds of demons manipulating politicians, Wall Street tycoons, and other powerful individuals. But that storyline would likely be one-sided with what humans are aligned with Hell.

Hmm. I'm getting the same vibe from when another leftist creative project that was overhyped and poorly written had character designs with transcendental appeal to 4chanerites of all political stripes: Goodbye Volcano High, anyone? This is pure gut feeling but there's an energy surrounding the discourse over Hazbin and Helluva's story concepts that is very similar. If the show fails to live up to the hype, I anticipate a flood of above average to great fan-works or even original works directly inspired from that disappointment.

I'm honestly amazed she's showed enough restraint to not mock fox news, tucker Carlson, matt walsh, daily wire or really any moderate or right wing outlets. I think the demon news lady who hates "the gays" was suppose to be a stand-in for Megyan Kelly, who I think was still regular on television when the Hazbin pilot came out. Whenever the show airs and if she's a recurring character, she will probably be the conservative strawman.

if the vivzie team thought that right-wing ideas were evil they would have the demons actively promote these ideas to align with their plans for world suffering, but this would result in the demons supporting rightoids instead of leftoids which would not be very friendly with tumbrl and vivzie would lose its audience.

but having Hell support leftoids means they are represented by the worst of society, murderers and rapists who conspire to make the world a worse place with their ideas.

if tumbrl has a hard time accepting demons manipulating teens, they wouldn't be able to handle a political manipulation plot on this show

Seeing people's actually good ideas for the show reminds me of the only reason I still have a passing interest in the "totally coming out this summer, even though we're halfway through with zero information" Hazbin Hotel.
Viv unironically has some pretty good ideas sometimes, mostly as writing prompts, that can be made really interesting by anyone who isn't an edgy fujobrained perma-teen like her. You know, I signed up for "Squad of imps travel to earth to kill people on the behest of already dead people, with their benefactor being a sociopathic, centuries old owl prince of hell that orders deaths of politicians when he gets lonely, and only cares about his daughter and the thrill of sucking some lowly imp's dick." before I even had an idea it would devolve to gay owl fanfiction.

I don't know precisely what "Naïve princess of hell, a basically lawless city populated and ran by the worst of humanity, seeks to find redemption for her subjects, with her benefactor being a sociopathic cannibal that advertises them because seeing people fail to better themselves is a new type of misery he hasn't really caused yet." will devolve into, but the fan content is pretty good sometimes, and will probably get better when we see more squandared
