Do you believe that this series will turn to shit?

You know, Viv reminds me of Tite Kubo of Bleach fame. Like Viv, Kubo has a massive ego and is a character designer first and a writer last (he originally wanted to be a fashion designer), with their creative end results being awful stories with bloated underdeveloped casts while squandering what little narrative potential there was in the beginning.

But I will give Kubo credit, as while Bleach is still a trash fire rife with stupid contrivances, He had a better grasp of writing fundamentals and character development than Viv does who writes like a child with a skewed perception of what adults like. I'll take convoluted overambitious bullshit work over one that aims to be shit because at least the former makes an attempt.

To think a creator in the rare position to break the mold would default to using it and make another paint-by-numbers adult cartoon wrapped in a more distinct aesthetic.
It's quite amusing considering that the creator of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure also has a strong interest in fashion. I can't help but wonder if Tite Kubo aimed for his art to exude the same vibe as JoJo's but perhaps dialed it down a bit to avoid being a direct replica. This becomes particularly evident in the later arcs of Bleach, where Kubo's artistic skills noticeably improve, and some characters seem to bear a resemblance to those from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

Hirohiko Araki's impact on the manga world is undeniable, with even series like Undead Unluck drawing inspiration from JoJo's. From wild power-ups to intricate worldbuilding and characters with impressive physiques, the influence is clear. Notably, Undead Unluck features a god engaged in a perpetual game that involves blowing up the planet multiple times – a concept reminiscent of JoJo's elaborate storytelling.

It's intriguing that Undead Unluck seems to carry the torch of JoJo's legacy. While not a direct copy, the shared DNA is unmistakable, given JoJo's status as one of the most significant manga of its time. Virtually every series has taken a cue from Araki's work, and it has left an indelible mark on the history of manga.

Yoshifumi Tozuka, the creator of Undead Unluck, openly acknowledges Araki's influence on both the manga and anime realms through JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It's fascinating to consider how the landscape of manga might be different if JoJo's hadn't achieved the iconic status it did many years ago. Undoubtedly, Tozuka's creation, Undead Unluck, owes its existence to the groundbreaking impact of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure on the world of manga and anime.

I suppose if you're gonna ship yourself with a HH/HB character, it might as well be Charlie.
Even if you're a furry, the hellhounds possess eyes that would be off-putting, even if they don't appear intimidating outside an intimate setting.

Eyes are windows to the soul. Pale irises with red sclera would not appeal to most, and Loona's human form gives off cheap, Total Drama Island vibes.

I bet Loona would win on a search on e621 though.

Lmao, and Null said there were no black lolcows.

What is it with demons lately? Styx posted the owl from one of those shows before losing his god damn mind just a few weeks ago. Magi-Chan needs to get his house in order.
Dont mess with them. DONT DO IT. Nothing good comes from touching them. When's the last time you EVER heard of a successful guy that coomed to or promoted demons?

Jeeze.... this is some serious demonic brain rot. I mean really? AI exists now, he had no excuse!

Yeah, so, I'm a little confused on the timeline. The main post says that it was a 6 month gap between two rap battles, so I assumed that the animation took that long. Maybe it took longer? Or... he was planning this for a long time, which I suppose makes sense. I don't think anyone would just up and drop everything one day for this.
Maybe the animation just took a week and he has been cooming all that time.

Now that I can screenshot them, here's the meltdown she had in full. Ghostarchive

One more thing about the Verbalese thing: I think the song choice and implications are pretty telling. I didn't know the song before. But apparently it's some white girl who is kissing exaggeratedly with what may be her boyfriend in a diner. And to be clear; she is kissing him, not the other way around. He gets fed up, pushes her away, shakes his head and walks away.
Then she immediately walks over to an old lady and starts kissing her instead. Then an old guy. Then an ugly fat guy. Then a weird looking young boy. And finally it ends with her picking up a dog and moving towards it and everyone leaving in disgust.

So he chose this song for his cartoon waifu to kiss him. The song where a girl is so possessed with desire that she'll kiss even the ugliest things,.

God it's so fucking funny to see the very people she actively caters to all the time rip her apart This combined with when the show fully releases and is met with not the most positives reviews is going to be something special

*hits pipe*

I think one of the biggest tragedies with the way these shows get lost in pandering and suffer from shitty paper-thin writing is that the pandering was entirely optional. the people who are earnest fans of Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel right now have such nonexistent standards that they would enjoy the show no matter how empty it was just as long as they get to have more of the characters they're parasocially attached to.
Meanwhile, the creative choices thus far have only alienated people like many and so, so many others, and if it were written better, designed, acted, so on and so forth, keeping fans like me and others would not in any way be mutually exclusive with keeping the fans with no standards. The endless torrent of dumbass shit this series pulls hasn't won them anything they wouldn't otherwise have anyway, they've just lost what they did, and i feel if this shit keeps going downhill, this hemorrhage of fans will continue until there's nobody who really gives a shit except us hatewatchers and the most loyal of vivzie asskissers.

I think this also applies for stuff like Doctor Who. It isn't as if the people who are fans of doctor who in its current fagged-up state aren't also equally big fans of its earlier eras like with Russel T. Davies and Moffat, or even classic who. And the recent specials aren't even that bad writing-wise save for some pacing issues, you could almost remove all the cringeworthy woke/gay shit and nothing about the overall story would change. Even if you like to assume the best intentions of the writers, the only pragmatic or useful way to look at it IMO is with the POASIWID framework (The Purpose Of A System Is What It Does), and what's being done here, and therefore the purpose behind it, is genuinely just to alienate fans with standards and anyone with antipathy towards woke bullshit, as well as stir up a totally needless media storm for publicity and to cast out said fans as the enemy, so they can grandstand about being "current" and "socially aware", and pretend we were never REAL fans of the show. And the meager fruits of those decisions never are any compensation for the consequences they have long term.
Good Art will always have a fanbase, even after the original crowd who watched it have moved on, new people will rediscover it.
Pandering Art lives and dies with the fanbase it wants right now, or worse, by the hands of that fanbase (Homestuck is one of these such cases, and Hazbin is shaping up to be one too).

Jesus fucking christ....I can't exactly disagree with her cause the people are definitely oversensitive babies. But she's an oversensitive baby too.

Why does she need to comment on every single controversy she gets into? She even says it herself, that getting involved in such negativity doesn't help. But she still does it! Why? What does she think she'll accomplish? No one's going to change their mind. In fact, people will just find you to be a very immature person who is impossible to work with cause you're constantly complaining about every little negative thing directed at you.

You think one she got into the industry, being a showrunner and all, she would stop responding like she was back on Tumblr. But she doesn't. She acts the same way, and she's surprised that people say she doesn't change.

I just don't understand the appeal of the show, I tried to initially give it the benefit of the doubt as an independent, but now, its a fucking Amazin production and it looks the same, has the same shitty designs, and the same shitty writing.

I do sorta hope that this music video ends up being Hazbin Hotels greatest legacy because frankly it's probably gonna be the most interesting thing to come out of the show, atleast for me. Beelzebub as someone's shitty furry OC and the most repetitive designs I've seen in a while isn't a show I think deserves the dignity of existing let alone having this much attention.

Remove attachment because someone else had posted it.
Its for the weird online girls who have a fetish for poor little meow meow twinks getting buttraped* but also want family guy humour without it being icky family guy and who also hate christians, duh

(and all the other (often highly problematic) relationship stuff they don't wanna think about happening to a girl becaude thats too real and often just reminds them of their insecurities, but it still gets them hot so they just use a feminine short man with a butt pussy and occasionally even a butt womb to project onto instead)
