Believe it or not, the opposite. I can't give many details without powerleveling, but I keep getting ads for someone running for Senate in my state. Despite being a Democrat, this person is always getting slammed in these ads.How many of them are Democrat ads? All of them?
Same, ublock origin seems to be the way to go.I'm still able to avoid ads on my main device with a combination of the still-functional uBlock Origin and ScriptSafe.
Try spoofing your user agent to Chrome.I'm using ublock origin with firefox. I don't see ads on videos, and many videos play fine, but many are also stalling consistently at the 1 minute mark for several seconds and showing the little loading circle. These will also stall several more times as the video plays. I can't seem to find any way to bypass this, and it doesn't seem to be a network issue, persisting behind a VPN and at a different location and ISP entirely, as well as on different systems. Is this something screwy where youtube is delivering ads and forcing them to "play," but ublock is keeping them from appearing?
I think this started about four months ago. All it really did was make me watch fewer videos, a net positive I suppose.
My only clue that this is ad-related is how often it comes up on new videos, and how infrequently on old ones. If I play something from 5 years ago, there is never a problem. If I play something from this past week, it almost always, but not quite always, hangs up.
It seems that solved it. What's the reasoning? Is Google really causing a fuss over the browser I'm using, or is this a "bug" conveniently not yet fixed?Try spoofing your user agent to Chrome.
Google hates Firefox despite them being the only thing preventing chrome from being a monopoly online. It seems that solved it. What's the reasoning? Is Google really causing a fuss over the browser I'm using, or is this a "bug" conveniently not yet fixed?
edit - or maybe not... The hangups are starting again.
With web devs increasingly designing sites for Chrome -- the latest version of Chrome -- it is making internet increasingly non-functional. Along with more "Cloudflare" BS.Google hates Firefox despite them being the only thing preventing chrome from being a monopoly online.
Google is absolutely desperate right now. If Chrome is about to be yanked away from them, they are going to want to squeeze as much money out of it as possible before that happens.Google hates Firefox despite them being the only thing preventing chrome from being a monopoly online.
I just noticed UBlock with Firefox dont do shit anymore..It seems like Ublock no longer allows you to clear cache and up[date it and Youtube is finally telling me to turn off adblocker. Any solutions?
Just tried it and it worked for me too.I got the same issue and checked out the uBlock Origin subreddit, and this solution helped me:
