I'm already seeing discourse about "hurf hurf, of course the Rowling's game would be about a racial uprising" , hand wringing about house elves and goblins being stand-ins for jews because OF COURSE.
And the same weird complaints about how it's terrible for Harry Potter to have slavery as a part of it's setting without ending it.

The reason they want Rowling to bend the knee is because she was legitimately the last person to make a cultural zeitgeist out of something original - the MCU leans hard on the works of others before them. Having that kind of writer consistently telling them no infuriates them since she could easily seen doubt in newer generations.

She may be a hack compared to others, but her books were made to be easy to pick up despite the length. As such, they're easy for kids to get into and getting to the youth is critical to any movement. What would happen if she published books against the Anti-life equation that were also fun to read? That thought simmers in the back of a lot of the people that hate her, and it terrifies them.
Nothing would happen because she's a hack has-been with fuck-you money. What culturaly zeitgeist? The only thing Harry Potter left behind is a cultural black hole circled by manchildren. No one gives a shit anymore! She only simmers in the back of retards' minds or grifters, the kind of people constantly looking for clout and/or asspats on twitter. What movement?! It ain't that deep!

She managed to turn an entire generation of people around the globe into mouthbreathing retards and you're saying she didn't influence the modern zeitgeist?

I remembered when Hermione make S.P.E.W to liberate the house elves
it was a clusterfuck that Dobby had to step in because Hermione has been giving socks to house elves

Rowling had nothing to do with the game. Anyone hating the game on account of her lukewarm takes are too stupid to chew.

Lmao if you think manchildren that used to obsess over HP weren't retards to begin with. It's just morons looking for the newest, shiniest toy and the same goes for the MCU. They'll get bored and look for something else to consoom and base their entire personality around for a couple of months before repeating the process.
You guys give too much credit to mediocre media lol.

SPEW was a criticism on white liberals insisting they knew better, when in reality they make things worse for the group they're "fighting" for.

So of course, said white liberals got offended because how dare they be criticized.

Watched the gameplay and it looks like all third person action/rpg games out there. Not that it is bad but you know the type (Infamous, etc).

If the devs have any common sense they will rip off any of the existing magic systems out there. You will have your magic missile, your fireball and your chain lightning; the video also showed your invisibility spell (I'm already guessing there will be enemies that can see invis), there's a paralysis spell and a stun spell (again, enemies resistant to it or creatures that are immune to that tactic); and I'm guessing there will be a confusion, blindness and summon spells. It's a standard deck.

I have always loved the baldur's gate 2 magic system. Even if it's a dumbed down D&D one because you only need memorization and no components. This game does not give me the feeling I'm a wizard in the classical sense. If I command the universe I want to be able to stop time and buck break a mindflayer. At most, the wizards here can call lightning and do some dark sorcery.

Another example of wizards breaking shit up is Dragon Age Origins. I remember casting a stun/barrier spell on my tank (which makes him immune to everything but he can't move) while he was holding aggro. Then corpse explosion on the mobs around him, the enemies would blow up in a chain reaction and the tank wouldn't even get a scratch. Or combining different sigils, one that made a barrier in one direction + a barrier in another direction would make the enemies implode. It was great.

I didn't even watch the story bits. After reading about the butthurt I want now to be a scene where some muggle says, "why aren't you stopping slavery?" and wizards tell him, "nigger we have Chtulhu rising from the sea and Daemons from the 9 hells breaching through colombia, what the shit do I care if your kind are selling each other for gunpowder?"

The biggest red flag for me will be the magic management and combat economics. What's the cost of using magic? Do I have a mana bar that depletes? Do I have a cast and forget system? Do I have once a day spells and I need to decide whether to cast a big boom from the start or soften my enemies first? Will I be put in a situation where I should hold em or fold em?
The trailer showed a lot of pirouets and flips but the mc could cast all day long. I guess the enemies will be bullet sponges or it will be made for the game journo crowd.

Also the Assassin's creed inspired counterspells. If I press a button I'll be able to counter my enemy's spell. I already hate this mechanic. I want to have defensive spells and mitigation spells but don't give me the Dragon Age 2 awesome button feature.

I like how that despite the fact that it takes place during the 1800s, the potion professor still looks like Snape.

Girls stan broody dark haired Potions Masters with shoulder length hair. They'd be a fool to try and change a winning formula tbh. No matter whatever progressive shit media tries to peddle, I can't help but be reminded the most popular male characters with women are all trad masculine men ie: Geralt, Thor, Kylo, Snape, Cap America, Loki.... (And even wearing a dress Snape was pretty big dick asshole energy).

Bro, I think you're reading too much into this. It's because they're hot. Masculinity be damned if you're a guy with great hair, a handsome face, and a nice body.

They could be planting daisies in a pink dress surrounded by kittens, and bitches would still be throwing themselves at them.

I want my wizard game to reward you for staying in the basement or staying as a virgin just like Kingdom Come Deliverance did.

And that game had no magic wizards in it.

People just can't stop being retards over this game.

Watched it. Far too many niggers, and paki's for a game set in the 1800's. But other than that looks pretty neat. The combat looks very 'meh'. But the visuals are very nice; and they seem to be going entirely by book rather than the film. Did make me laugh that they have a customization option that amounts to 'what flavour of British middle class do you want to dress today?'.
It's britain, it checks out. I hope it's good, looks like it's gonna be a bit more actiony than I hoped for but I'm a pottiesperg so I can enjoy it anyways. Nice to see it's gonna be based on the gobbo uprising and exploration being a big thing. Idk about the fucking skyrim dungeons though.
