How are you doing? - Kiwi Farms Wellness Check

Anyone else in chronic pain? I'm out of balance and fighting the good fight to stay about. I'm not suicide baiting, but I'm tired. I'm totally sick of "nothing days". I've been doing this far too long, and see no hope in the future.

I know this is a passing phase, I;m in better shape than I have been for years, and that's half the problem. I've dropped my medication down significantly and have no desire to raise it again to deal with the current "crisis".

Nearly made a very stupid mistake because I wasn't paying attention, I realised at the last moment at nearly the last moment that I could avoid disaster and a trip to hospital that Mild Steel at nearly 1000c isn't my hands friend even with Tongs without gloves, Killed the gas and put some glove on chucked the bar stock in the dash tank and walked away.

well what a day ive had and its only 12:30 GMT. my son was headed to work to get his bus, and was hit by a bin lorry (garbage truck for our fine US frens).
he called me and told me he was in an ambulance and I woke my hubby grabbed a taxi to the county hospital.
the wee bugger called as we were almost there, and he was fine!
when we got home he told us that he was letting someone cross the road in front of him, and he got hit on the shoulder bump on the noggin and knocked over.
he did say he had a fright, and a wee cry, but me and hubby are wrecks!
imma now at the disconnected stage.
im wow

have you done any reading on what your pain is, ive not read the rest of the thread, but maybe going to your doc.
distraction is a useful tool, to immerse in something you enjoy helps me. ive got arthritis in my Hands wrists hips, and starting at me feet.
keep trying look for something or someone to keep you going, ive been there, still there with anti-depressants, which ive accepted ill be on for the rest of my life

None that I'm super interested in but still.

Apps do fucking suck but I feel like a lot of people just read about how hopeless they are online and don't even try themselves.

Well, if you are in a major city. Clearly it's easier to get matches, the majority does not do that.

Not really? About 30k.

Look man the apps really do suck. You're going to have to do several hundred swipes for probably five or so matches. I'm not denying that.

I'm just in disagreement that they are completely barren wastelands that have a zero percent chance of working. That's obviously not true.

I never did use dating apps myself but my kid brother, who is borderline male model tier, has had the same results that i commonly read on the internet, months of swiping, next to no matches. We are both bug hive dwellers, so i find it doubly surprising, as there are millions of girls on there in our area. He did mention he switched his area to a couple of latin american countries for a laugh, shortly before he quit online dating entirely, and getting matches and girls messaging him out the wazoo.

@Harbinger of Kali Yuga You seem to be a fine individual and I'd enjoy inviting you over some cuppa to discuss the merits and demerits of 20th Century Philosophy, Literature, LGBT issues and Christianity. If we find ourselves in too much of a disagreement over such hearty topics we can always ease the tension with some reading of P.G. Woodehouse.
