How To Date Goth Girls (From the Perspective of a Goth Girl)
As a goth who doesn't fw the social scene much anymore because it's a bunch of messy faggots, I can confirm
most of this is true. We will usually ALWAYS make the first move.
Older goths (I say this as 25+ so not OLD old) you will find in any day job. Still enjoy music. Likely one go full corpse paint on the weekends or at home unless their job allows it. Might just be in a Sisters of Mercy shirt hanging around. We are everywhere as are zoomer posers who basically use baesian mimicry to get men while still being BPD whores or "it's a phase" normies. There are plenty of women who it isn't and we will always be spooky.
How to Approach & Who to Avoid
If you find yourself in a goth club or frequent goth bar space FYI
anyone over 35 you can recognize frequently are uber losers and do not engage with them even if they're milfy as fuck and seem to be well adjusted on the surface. Still sus to find someone 30 but maybe they're just there with a friend if it's a big night event. Bar goers are also a hard no once again unless they're young or one of the ones who clearly was dragged by her friends.
Girls at shows are pretty fair game for anyone or any age range because everyone can enjoy a good band coming through. Approach her outdoors tho and not in a crowd. She will make an opportunity if she Notices(tm) you.
Easiest soft approach is while looking at stuff in a shop that she doesn't work at. Music and books are easy convo starters and very neutral so that even if she isn't interested in you it won't seem pushy. Same thing if she's reading in a coffee shop. Talk to her from across the shop and then approach slowly. Same thing if she's in a conversation that you find interesting. If you're a scrote you will need to ensure you do the following:

- Give her the high ground and an out if she wants to dash. You never know what her type is so it's not always personal. Lots of Goth girls like normie looking dudes if they know the music or appreciate parts of Goth culture.
- Wear interesting shit SHE can comment on because we like to approach. Don't just wear boring clothes. Wear a horror shirt if you're a horror fan. Wear an obscure German Expressionist film shirt if you like that. Wear goth band shirts. Wear cool shoes or a cool belt. Get cool pants. Make yourself approachable
- Make bad jokes. Make LOTS of puns.
- Avoid politics at first and just talk about interests.
- Goth girls also LOVE gossip even if they're not ones who go out on the scene. If you're not on the scene yet don't worry about this.
Be relaxed as a person. Women, regardless of genre, love stability in men and always want that. Show you're reliable and exactly what she thinks she's getting emotionally. Women hate men who are unreliable or losers (read: can't be counted on for shit, not inherently just money or job) .
FYI...
A surprising number of Goth girls are actually redpilled or at least moderates. Women are more likely to socially conform and not power level in public or in general. Just because she brings up (woke topic) doesn't mean she's trash especially if she's a millennial or zoomer who have been more or less forced into this slop.
Goth girls understand better than ANY other group of women that men can wear female clothes and makeup and still be men. That men, no matter how soft looking, are still whole ass men. Goths are either party goths or house goths. You rarely find in-betweens. Even your extroverts can be indoor goths and your introverts party goths. So always listen to what she says.
Dating Indoor Goths
Even indoor goths will go out on dates especially when she's getting to know you. She won't take you home immediately under most cases. If she does then follow her lead.
Women on this spectrum are more likely to have (or have had) "safer" mental health issues if she has them. This is your depression or anxiety or autism group. Surprisingly, the stay at home women are usually childless and generally a bit more responsible in their daily affairs.
- Go out for coffee, usually local shops are better bets than Starcucks.
- Likely to want to watch a B list movie
- Go to an art gallery
- Go to a museum
- Go to an old cemetery and have a picnic
- Denny's at 3am is safe if she's a night owl
- Many will just like vidya gaming with you too
- Bookstore dates
- When you get to know her, going over and cooking with her and watching a movie or just hanging out will be enough.
These are more "wife tier" girls. If you want kids, broach that subject early on because many don't. I recommend this type if you're career focused or not a party type. She's likely not going to get into trouble without you and can survive just fine without you. She's someone to come home to.
Dating Party Goths
Being that you are on Kiwifarms I likely think you're not ready for this.
These goths love going out even if it's not always a party. They're DJs or friends with them. They love to dance (goth dancing is different from most dancing. You don't need to be good at it). Plan to Uber or have one of you be sober. Don't die for goth pussy. You will likely go home with her the first night even if you don't smash (but you probably will).
- Pro tip: Bring water to shows in a bag for a free win from her. Some places will Jew you and charge for bottled water.
You will need to watch out for her safety more in these scenarios. Other men will be on the prowl for goth girls and the goth scene, like all others, has predators and people who will try to get your girl drunk or high and bring her home.
Do not trust Goth "musicians" or bartenders with her. They are basically pussy magnets and fuckboys until proven otherwise.
Women who are old enough and not mentally retarded know better than to date musicians. If she's over 25 and only dates musicians run for the hills nigga she's crazy.
You are far more likely to find personality disorders in this section (BPD). Also a surprising amount of single moms. This has been true for me in every scene I've been acquainted with, sadly. Single Goth moms love partying and not watching their kids.
- Go to shows, she will know every schedule for every small show.
- She will want to go places late at night so know what's open late. Especially in urban areas that cater to Goths or night life lots of places for coffee and food are open late or 24/7.

- I don't rec going to house parties at first unless you're familiar with the scene and the hosts. Weird shit happens and it might be my inner house goth talking but it can get out of hand easily. Don't let your girl get high or drunk at another man's place. It's just not safe. If you want to breech this subject with her, approach it from "I trust you but I don't trust them and I worry about you because I care".
Your party girls are fun. Many of them do hold steady work and pay their bills on time but many also don't. If you're looking for a wife type of girl I'd stay away from this type unless you also really like partying and going out. If you want kids, most party girls want them or already have them.
Sometimes, if your Goth is young, she will transition into an Indoor Goth. But there will be signs. She might just want to go out a little bit or really dislike parts of going out. She will comment on behaviors etc. if she's under 25 and a party goth there is a chance she might settle down, but this is not always true. Get to know her and what she likes doing before judging.
Gift Ideas
We like cute shit. We're still girls. Certain prints like bats, cute insects, bones, skeletons, cats etc. will always hit with us. Pay attention to her style or clothing she likes.
- Stuffed animals. Like find little bats or something that look fat or little animals in clothes. You should kinda know by now if you've seen her living space.
- jewelry or stuff we can wear in our hair. Cool hair sticks if she has long hair she wears up. Stuff with skeletons and death themes. Deadhead moths are always safe motifs as are scarabs or Ankhs. Bones too. It doesn't even have to be that expensive which is beneficial for the poorfag. Silver over gold is almost always the way which once again benefits you.
- lots of goths are artists so art supplies depending upon her medium. Painters can always use QUALITY paintbrushes. Decopouge artists can always use cute paper to throw on stuff. Get to know what she does and what she uses.

Asking her friends is always good too. Many girls will just tell you without telling you "OMG I love this it's so cuteeee too bad I don't have any extra money."
