Pandering to Twitch streamers is one of the main reasons unmoderated VC doesn’t exist anymore. Twitch is so pozzed and faggy they ban streamers if anyone on the stream says anything questionable. That’s why the Sharty raids are so hilarious. If you’re streaming to 100 people and someone in your lobby says nigger, your channel is now on the chopping block.

They do that pandering to streamers because everyone remembers that when Drake and Ninja did a Fortnite stream, every single zoomer got that fucking game because they saw a big celeb play it. The feral-ass kids even bullied each other if they didn't buy stupid cosmetic shit. Thus, everyone in the industry wants that big streamer bump now for their game because that's the current tastemakers of the industry because nobody below the age of 35 reads magazines, even fewer read random blogs, and the concept of a "games journalist" is a joke for a reason.

There also is the benefit for the survelliance state in all this because in order to do VC moderation on a large scale, you have to have speech detecting shit that directly helps ensure that anything that's said is recorded and punishments can be handed out. This would be an excellent tool for any police state of the future because everyone's got a wire-tappable device in their pocket. Excellent labor cost savings for mass survelliance.

Old game developers learned computer programming, new game developers rarely do, they do game development courses that teach them how to use unity and unreal and barely even that. Game development courses teach a bit of how to use those engines, a bit of game design and then talks like "how to subversively queer your game" and how to get government grants.
It's also why so much game design is homogenized, it's all just people literally copy/pasting code they dont understand.
 
The anti-anime faggots in KF should keep in mind this is what you get when you force game developers to just focus on western style games. Honestly feel bad for Sega. Once great company is getting raped by white woke jackals.

With a cast that is seemingly filled with unsavory types, I'd beg to argue that the very title "Hyenas" is coded language for the woke crowd. Female hyenas have very fucked up reproductive anatomy, I.E. having a pseudopenis. They GIVE BIRTH through a PENIS-LIKE ORGAN. And do you know what one of the playable characters is? A TRANNY.

Also, the supposed plot mentions shit like "the Taint", and "the Crack" like the devs had a jerk-fest meeting with a sacrificial child in the middle of the boardroom when coming up with this shit. Glad that project got fucking cancelled.
 
I no longer feel that angry at CA for wasting the resources they could have used on TWWH3 on this garbage. The cancelation of Hyenas brought me more joy and happiness than the game itself.

The belter rebel Marco, yes he's hispanic but not like mexican-hispanic, more closer to actual spaniard-hispanic like Antonio Banderas just whiter-ish, but he doesn't get the mars fleet but a few ships from the mars rebels the laconians, whose leader also has a hispanic name IIRC.........but is played by a straight-up white guy.

Now that I think about it there was only one evil non-white character which was a belter black woman working under Marcos to keep tabs on Drummer and her crew. Ironically doing this meant there were far more white characters and whites getting minor parts, with minorities getting the even more minor parts of being killed by said evil whites. Not an upgrade if you ask me, actors care more about screentime than being the good or bad guy, because that's how you get noticed.

So basically all white actors on the expanse got more exposure, ain't that ironic?
 
Oh I didn't catch that we were talking about the show instead of the books. In the books I feel like the lineup of characters that do bad shit is not so whitewashed.

They picked the title because hyenas look goofy and "quirky", not because of the way they fuck. The average person doesn't know or care how hyenas reproduce. (And judging from how often you post in Animal Control, you don't seem like the average person.)

I (and many others) have been waiting for that crash since the early 2010's when the cancer really started to set in but it never happened because of IMO 2 main factors:

  1. New monetization tactics, mainly freemium and cosmetics being able to turn any piece of shit game into a cashcow, so now quality and playability are completely out the window since the only thing that matters is getting gamers hooked on it and milk them for as long as you can.
  2. Gamers becoming the basement-level of consoomer behavior. I tell you if SEGA pulled the addon shit they did in the 90's now nobody would complain. I don't know if mainstream media bashing on gamers during GG did this or what but gamers today are complete wimps who will buy any shit that has a known brand on it, they are second only to apple fans. Companies keep fucking them over with broken games, random bans and DLCs that are a complete ripoff, and they keep coming back. Even old ones, I know one who is in his 40s and fits the description perfectly.
Because of this the crash has been delayed indefinitely, the cracks that were showing even in the late 2000s now have paint on top so you can see it but its still there. The moment the monetization train stops it will be the mother of all crashes for that industry, but given that gamers would rather go broke than stop consooming even in the middle of a recession I think this is gonna keep going for a while.

Didn't have time to read the books but I'm not surprised they took the race swapping to the limit in the adaptation, they do it for everything just see the abortion that is the halo series, which somehow got a 2nd season next year.

The games industry is crashing, we're living through it right now. Games worth hundreds of millions are bombing and studios are closing, it's all veiled in bullshit PR claiming everything is fine like baghdad bob and social media sass about owning the haters
