I have a gender studies assignment that I need to submit today. - It's bad.

Gender sterotypes are:

This is probably an angle you could go at that some may not know/do. Alsop allows you to throw the acronym "STD" in your paper.

>The patriarchy puts pressure on Women to enter into marriage with men, which means they end up saddled with their debts and financial problems. Marriage as an institution, much like the wage gap, is meant to keep women down and stop them from reaching their full potential, and is another example of the patriarchy at work.

Something like that, go into how women are then expected to become house wives and talk about how degrading it is and how it's an institution of the patriarchy.

I cannot believe my brain came up with that nonsense...

Just write "X happened, and women are the most affected!", then comes up with some dumbass reason that blames men. It's worked for everything from climate change to men playing videos games to women now being more educated and higher paid than men.

Well I submitted it with like 30 minutes to spare. Most of it was just frankensteined from my thoughts and stitched together with various google search links hahah.
If one of these assignments ever comes around that require you to do more than some halfassed google searches to complete, just proposition your professor for sex. If they call you out on it just say that it was a commentary on the power dynamics between men/women and professor/student and the offer of sex was your assignment. If they accept then you go on twitter and screech.

many european universities for example are much better in that regard than american ones. for example, if you study for a degree in chemistry, then your curriculum will be like 85% chemistry and 15% chemistry-adjacent fields that are required (basic physics and maths, some biology maybe)

the details vary between individual programmes and universities, but generally you will not be forced to sit through garbage humanities shit if you're a STEM major unless you actively choose to do so.
Agreed. In my country (Italy) if you are in a STEM faculty you will never open a history/sociology/economy book, because it just doesn't make sense. And if you want to graduate in History, you will never have to attend a biology class. The classes that American universities impose on students are very perplexing.

Get all you classmates to take off their clothes and then study them.

Officially it's about enrichment when in fact it's about filling university's coffers and maintaining otherwise unsustainable departments.

I imagine your class doesn't use the anon student number system (whatever that's called) if not I would think of it as trying to learn more in depth about the arguments you disagree with I think Magnum here has dropped some useful stuff and for that I name him "True G kiwi of the day"

More of a collection of reasons against it
This should be usable for your venture
This is quiet the chunky one, wouldn't be wrong to take this as your main source as its a compilation of articles
Field overwiew
Tip: start with some bshit intro taken out of one of the above sources, worm your way through them and find some chunky bits to sparkle on the intro. Next just use the last one to list the Research fields and who is currently (well its from 2016 but it works well enough for college) working on them or better said who has made some publications there and just list some reasons quasi parsed out of whats written in the field descriptions. You could delve a tad deeper for a better mark but ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Take a chapter of Mein Kampf and replace all the references to Jews with references to MRAs. One troll actually submitted something like that as a “scientific paper” and it got published.

e: super late
That group produced a number of absurdist academic papers, that just happened to be the most publicized one. A bunch of them got peer reviewed and accepted. The whole saga is very funny.

honestly, i'd recommend finding a way that allows you to get a degree in your field without requiring you to sit through marxist indoctrination like that

I think the idea was to create affluent well rounded citizens with a flexible knowledge base rather than just teaching you something useful. What Europe would call a university us Americans would probably call a trade school, but for STEM.

More seriously, this thread does sadden me. Back when I was in college, I’d occasionally get an assignment that was basically “read this article/story/essay and write an essay where you come to the conclusion that I want you to.” Those assignments were boring as fuck, so I’d amuse myself by coming to a conclusion that was the opposite of what the instructor was looking for. Invariably, I’d get the assignment back with feedback that amounted to “Well I disagree with you but you clearly put some thought into this so here’s an A.” Instructors back in those days would reward effort, reasoned dissent, and criticism.

I look at what’s going on now, and I get the impression that instructors are passing and failing students based on conformity, not academic performance. As long as you make the right noises and agree with the right dogma, you get to graduate. It’s genuinely sick.
