If you really believed that, you wouldn't have posted his pictures in this forum. What you've actually done is upset him. It's no excuse to say that Chris's beliefs are irrational. The fact is that he now feels even more hounded and persecuted, and if you know anything about Chris, you knew that's how he would respond to your post. If you want to be "nice" to Chris, you have to cater to his delusions. No ordinary celebrity would have reason to be offended by people posting their photos and discussing them, but Chris is no ordinary celebrity, and you know this.

But that's entirely Chris' problem, not ours.

These days any interaction with Chris short of rampant ass-patting is going to upset him. The way I see it, there are only four ways to directly interact with Chris. Intentional, overt trolling is probably harmful, and a little crass at this point. Ass patting (his preferred interaction) is the last thing he needs because it only reinforces his bad behaviors. Ignoring him isn't really interaction and simply leaves him to spiral inward into himself and is almost as bad as ass-patting. Trying to interact with him like he's a normal human being will also upset him, but at least might give him a glimmering look at how normal people behave.

In other words, there is no good way to interact with Chris. Because Chris. I can't blame someone for interacting with him in a non-optimal way when I don't have a better way to suggest.

When I say "Troll" Chris, I mean actually try and get him to do something degrading or steal from him or even make fun of him. All I wanted to do when I saw him was tell him that he didn't deserve the really hard trolling shit that was done to him by Cash and Co. I was genuinely nice to him and thought that you all would like to hear about the real life encounter. None of you would have believed me if I had no pics.

Anyway, it's good to get a confirmation for what Marvin has been telling us for ages: Chris isn't some beacon of filth and pestilence. No particular stink, his hair didn't stand up on its own from all the grease, just another ugly person.

It's always refreshing to see a field agent account of a Chris sighting. As others have said, Chris has taken on a nearly Bigfoot-esque mystique in recent years.

And I have to say, I was amazed that Chris composed himself so well during the encounter. Only taking photos and even agreeing to shake a hand? If I didn't already know the way Chris is, I'd say this was almost a step in the right direction (maybe).

EDIT: I'm a little upset to hear about dark blue muscle bras under white colors, women's studded belts, and greasy handshakes, though.

Well, he does seem to have a BO problem from this story and Marvin's convention one. It just doesn't have a comical reach like we imagine. It's something you only notice when casually close to him. The thing with Chris is even when someone does come into contact with him we have no idea how long he's been without a shower. We've seen pics of him where his hair looks clean, iffy, or straight up matted down with oil. I think he probably showers two times a week and only once when he's really depressed (The "How attractive am I?" pic was him at his worst) I don't think his odor ever reaches a point where it could cause a situation with strangers but it sure as hell would make it difficult for anyone trying to be friendly with him on a regular basis.

Back during his Game PLace days he was happy and still had some structure to his life so he probably kept up on bathing 3-4 times a week. Not ideal but enough where someone would have to be VERY close just to notice it (Megan)

I was thinking about this on the drive in to work today. Sure he thought the OP was a Confirmed Troll, why wouldn't he? Some random dude comes up knowing his name and talking to him, and Chris is as skittish as a baby bunny these days.

BUT! What if the OP had been someone marginally famous that Chris knows? Like if he heard "Oh man, is that Christian Weston Chandler?" in the voice of Peter Griffin, and turned to find Seth Macfarlane standing beside his booth. Or a "What's the deal with autistics?" Would he still have have been cagey, or actually opened up a bit?
